  1. No Thanks. The Bills already have one ex-bengal player who can't stay healthy on their roster.
  2. I'm not a neurologist or any other kind of medical professional but I don't believe that brains heal themselves in a week or so. I also believe that concussion damage is cumulative over time. So as long as Josh is feeling up to it and has been medically cleared to play by actual medical professionals, I think that is all one can ask or expect. Hopefully, Josh doesn't become "concussion prone". However, football at every level is a physically demanding and somewhat dangerous occupation. Even with improvements to helmet technology one has to realize that our brains are floating around inside our skulls and even better helmets are not gonna change that basic reality. Our brains are not designed for such abuse long term.
  3. Let's not forget that with Allen participating in practice as much as he is, Tennessee will at the very least have to spend time preparing for Josh to play.
  4. If Allen clears the concussion protocols and is ready to play then he starts. As others have said, he is the starter and the "franchise QB" and gives this team the best chance to win. But if he is less than 100% he sits and Barkley starts/plays.
  5. Time to get your "One-eyed Identified Flying Objects" out guys and gals!
  6. The debate really is more about the value of having Belichick/Brady vs McD/Allen IMHO. I won't be disappointed no matter what the final score is this weekend. Allen is still learning on the job while Brady is a multiple Superbowl winning QB, maybe the best QB all time. Assuming NE and KC are the two best teams in the AFC, how good are the Bills? We may get some clues to this question this weekend. This season has a long ways to go and injuries are gonna be important as the season goes along. Are the Bills better than say Baltimore? I think we should know more about where the Bills stand in the AFC by the end of this season. They are certainly in fine shape cap wise for next season and with another solid draft like this years draft could be in a position to challenge KC/NE next season. Assuming the Bills make the playoffs which is still a big assumption at this point how will they fare against these two teams in the playoffs assuming they do get that far? Let's just enjoy the ride...
  7. I just wanna wish Richie the best. Hope he is able to put this behind him and stay straight.
  8. And the Bills play the @Browns, @Steelers and @Titans. Those three games could be key to getting in as a wildcard playoff team...
  9. Hey, the Patriots will most likely win next week but I can handle it. The Bills will still be 3-1.
  10. Have any of the other TE's who were available in FA done anything much yet? No GM hits on every FA that he signs. On the plus side , we signed two top notch WR's (Brown and Beasley) and an OL that is giving Allen time to throw (Morse, Feliciano, Nsekhe, and Spain) not to mention Gore. I'd say Beane had quite a good group of FA signings. Chill out!
  11. I think we all agree that this is a "should win" game. Not a "must win". And I believe they will win this game.
  12. By the end of this season I predict they will change their opinion of Josh. Nuff said...
  13. You should also NOT discount the possibility that had the Jets made the FG and extra point the Bills might have had the ball last and went on a game winning TD drive... or at least a game winning FG as time expired... Bottom line BILLS WON...
  14. Rest him as long as it takes - even if he misses New England. We want him ready for the rest of the season - and PLAYOFFS!!
  15. I've been a Bills fan since the "old rockpile" days. This team just feels different to me. 3-0! it will happen!
  16. If he can stay healthy, the sky's the limit for this kid!
  17. If he won't play for 10mil with the Chargers in Cali what makes anyone think he would come here for roughly the same money? Sure the Bills have the money/cap space but while the Bills may be headed for a wild card they are not one RB away from a Superbowl. Simply not gonna happen.
  18. One should remember too that the NFL has had beer advertising on each and everyone of it's tv broadcasts as well as in stadium advertising forever. Drinking beer and watching football has gone hand in hand since it's inception. I never did go to games to get drunk out of my mind and nowadays prefer to stay home and watch the games on my big screen TV while enjoying some liquid refreshment or going to a friends place to do so.
  19. Interestingly, when you examine this list there are several other "small market" teams in the same value range. Detroit, Cinci, Tennessee and Cleveland round out the bottom five all around the 2 billion price range.
  20. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/09/18/bills-warn-fans-about-behavior-ahead-of-home-opener/ OK, i know that some of our fans get carried away drinking and with their WWE antics but "DEBAUCHERY"???
  21. I'm not a big fan of Cowherd. But one has to remember that to the rest of the league, all they really know is that this team has sucked for the last 20 years. It takes time to change peoples minds. How many Bills fans have doubted that Josh Allen was going to amount to anything? Even now, one bad game and they will go back to their belief that he is not an accurate QB. This is a young up and coming team. They, like Josh are not a finished product, even if they make the playoffs. All I have expected to see this year is fairly constant improvement. With another good draft after this season they might have a shot at finally challenging New England for the division. It doesn't happen overnight. People look at their 2-0 start and say "but they beat two bad NJ/NY teams in the Jets and the Giants". And if and when they beat Cinci this week at home people will be saying that all the Bills have done is beat 3 bad teams. A lot of people are already saying that there are really only two good teams in the AFC this year.(New England and KC) It's not going to be easy to change peoples minds. Let's just enjoy the season and not worry too much about what outsiders think and say. The naysayers will start coming around the more wins this team gets...
  22. https://heavy.com/sports/2019/09/bengals-aj-green-injury-status-return/ I just can't see giving up much for a 31yr old WR with his injury history and needing to be resigned after this season. Maybe a 4th at best? Even if he would sign an extension immediately I'm not sure how much you could commit to him financially at this time. Doesn't sound like he would be ready to play yet for several weeks. Is he really worth the trouble?
