And he wasn't stopped and arrested, apparently until he returned home??? He was clearly caught on camera walking towards police with his weapon in his hands, an AR 15 alledgedly... Why was he even allowed to leave the scene???
  6. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2020/08/20/georgia-state-quarterback-out-for-season-with-covid-related-heart-ailment/ So much for the young being invincible as far as Covid is concerned...
  7. FEAR is what keeps you alive! It's why you look both ways before crossing the street. It's why you stay out of shark infested waters.

  9. Yeah, right, let's just wait till players and coaches start becoming seriously ill and/or DIE... Aren't over 150,000 deaths enough for you? Go talk to any licensed physician and ask him what his medical opinion of players weighing 350# or more is... There is a word for that you know... It's called "Morbidly Obese"... And men who are "Morbidly Obese" are at the greatest rick from this disease... And then too there are the wives and children of the players to be concerned about. How many of them have to get sick and possibly DIE before you take this GLOBAL PANDEMIC seriously???
  10. You mean like Lou Williams (NBA) who through his stupidity (some would politely call it "youthful arrogance" but that's being rather charitable considering that we are in the middle of a worldwide PANDEMIC) has endangered his teammates and certainly not helped their chances of winning a championship in this shortened NBA season.
  11. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/report-rob-manfred-warns-that-mlb-could-shut-down-by-monday-if-it-cant-contain-coronavirus-210743171.html More upsetting news for all of us sports fans... MLB may be on the verge of shutting down by MONDAY!... Right now the odds of anything like a "full season" for any sport is looking pretty dim... Unlike the NBA, which may have the best chance of some kind of "season", with 32 NFL teams involved, unless the NFL can go a strict bubble concept I see no way of having anything like a full NFL season.

  13. I am not the one who is cavalierly dismissing the risk to players and everyone around them. If you want to see the "CLOWN" here, go look in a mirror!
  14. First of all, their are plenty of coaches over the age of 50 in the NFL. A significant number of players who ARE fat also have secondary risk factors like Diabetes and High Blood Pressure as well as more mundane ailments that the public is not always aware of (like say Asthma for example). Are you a licensed physician? Have you any medical training at ALL??? What exactly qualifies you to even speculate on the vulnerabilities of players and coaches??? And while I am on my soapbox, how about players wives and children. How many players have wives who are pregnant or may have illnesses that we know nothing about. We all want football back. But until a vaccine can be mass produced and distributed, players and everyone around them are at significant risk as we all are. If the NFL has to cancel the season so be it.
  15. I'd strongly advise you to reconsider your reply. Just look at all the coaches in the NFL over the age of 50. Some are in their 60s. And how many OL weigh 350# or more. A significant number of them have secondary risk factors like diabetes and high blood pressure. And you think none of them are gonna get seriously sick?? You are in for a very rude awakening...
  16. Wait till players, coaches, staff come down with the virus and are either hospitalized and/or DIE. The lawyers must be salivating over this... Can you imagine the lawsuits against the University's involved, the NCAA, etc... Public Safety be damned... People want their football and are willing to risk the lives of everyone involved to get it... Ive been a football fan all my adult life. I attended Bills games at "The Old Rockpile" as it was somewhat affectionately known. But c'mon people, can we not sacrifice one season of football until we have a vaccine? Peoples lives MUST be more important than a season of football. Hell, if those southern idiots had listened and learned anything from what NY went through we wouldn't be in this situation still. If Europe was smart enough to flatten the curve substantially their is no earthly reason why we could not have followed suit. Stupid people are gonna die and take a lot of innocent people with them. How SAD...
  17. I wonder how many coaches and or players (OL in particular) will wind up on ventilators or just plain DEAD before some fans will start taking this virus seriously and give it the respect it deserves. This is a PANDEMIC we are faced with - NOT the effin common cold! We are all football fans but cmon these players are HUMAN BEINGS. Just because they play professional sports does not make them (or any of us for that matter) invincible....
  18. see Bob Costas question about NFL players Corona risk factors at about the 4:05 mark...

  20. Are things getting worse?? Children appear to be getting sick in larger numbers... [This might be a good place to put this: https://www.newsweek.com/most-recovered-covid-19-patients-left-heart-damage-study-shows-1521456 78% of 100 recovered covid-19 patients showed heart damage on MRI Most of the patients in the study had "mild" illness and recovered at home]
  21. I have a BAD feeling about this...
  22. So if the Blue Jays were to win the World Series, wouldn't it be appropriate to list them as Toronto/Buffalo in the MLB record books?
  23. Here is what was said on the Pat McAfee show about this... and here is what Colin Cowherd said... FWIW...
  24. Not sure this belongs here but FWIW... https://www.mlb.com/news/nationals-juan-soto-positive-for-covid-19 And so it begins... Opening Night... [Edit: ugh. -Hap]
