  1. I am not the one who is cavalierly dismissing the risk to players and everyone around them. If you want to see the "CLOWN" here, go look in a mirror!
  2. First of all, their are plenty of coaches over the age of 50 in the NFL. A significant number of players who ARE fat also have secondary risk factors like Diabetes and High Blood Pressure as well as more mundane ailments that the public is not always aware of (like say Asthma for example). Are you a licensed physician? Have you any medical training at ALL??? What exactly qualifies you to even speculate on the vulnerabilities of players and coaches??? And while I am on my soapbox, how about players wives and children. How many players have wives who are pregnant or may have illnesses that we know nothing about. We all want football back. But until a vaccine can be mass produced and distributed, players and everyone around them are at significant risk as we all are. If the NFL has to cancel the season so be it.
  3. I'd strongly advise you to reconsider your reply. Just look at all the coaches in the NFL over the age of 50. Some are in their 60s. And how many OL weigh 350# or more. A significant number of them have secondary risk factors like diabetes and high blood pressure. And you think none of them are gonna get seriously sick?? You are in for a very rude awakening...
  4. Wait till players, coaches, staff come down with the virus and are either hospitalized and/or DIE. The lawyers must be salivating over this... Can you imagine the lawsuits against the University's involved, the NCAA, etc... Public Safety be damned... People want their football and are willing to risk the lives of everyone involved to get it... Ive been a football fan all my adult life. I attended Bills games at "The Old Rockpile" as it was somewhat affectionately known. But c'mon people, can we not sacrifice one season of football until we have a vaccine? Peoples lives MUST be more important than a season of football. Hell, if those southern idiots had listened and learned anything from what NY went through we wouldn't be in this situation still. If Europe was smart enough to flatten the curve substantially their is no earthly reason why we could not have followed suit. Stupid people are gonna die and take a lot of innocent people with them. How SAD...
  5. I wonder how many coaches and or players (OL in particular) will wind up on ventilators or just plain DEAD before some fans will start taking this virus seriously and give it the respect it deserves. This is a PANDEMIC we are faced with - NOT the effin common cold! We are all football fans but cmon these players are HUMAN BEINGS. Just because they play professional sports does not make them (or any of us for that matter) invincible....
  6. see Bob Costas question about NFL players Corona risk factors at about the 4:05 mark...
  7. Are things getting worse?? Children appear to be getting sick in larger numbers... [This might be a good place to put this: https://www.newsweek.com/most-recovered-covid-19-patients-left-heart-damage-study-shows-1521456 78% of 100 recovered covid-19 patients showed heart damage on MRI Most of the patients in the study had "mild" illness and recovered at home]
  8. So if the Blue Jays were to win the World Series, wouldn't it be appropriate to list them as Toronto/Buffalo in the MLB record books?
  9. Here is what was said on the Pat McAfee show about this... and here is what Colin Cowherd said... FWIW...
  10. Not sure this belongs here but FWIW... https://www.mlb.com/news/nationals-juan-soto-positive-for-covid-19 And so it begins... Opening Night... [Edit: ugh. -Hap]
  11. Actually, I remember that in it's "rookie" season, it was actually referred to on network telecasts as "from The Stadium in Orchard Park, NY"... So it might actually be 4 names....
  12. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2020/07/10/bengals-tell-season-ticket-holders-no-tailgating-in-stadium-parking-lots/ We know that the Bengals will not be allowing any "TailGating" in Stadium parking lots this year, assuming that fans will even be allowed in at all... Stay Tuned folks...
  13. Isn't the original show still being shown on over-the-air tv and/or cable still?
  14. Making a person "sign a waiver" does NOT mean that it is "legally enforceable" in a court of law. His lawyer (or the lawyer for his estate) would simply argue that the waiver was null and void and unenforceable. Again, as I stated upfront, I am NOT a lawyer but this topic has been covered a lot lately in the news, in connection with Trumps rallys for instance.
  15. Waivers, generally speaking (I am NOT a lawyer) from what I read are usually unenforceable in any event. The State, Erie County, The NFL and The Bills in particular would get sued up the wazoo if fans were permitted to attend games during the pandemic and then became ill or died. Football fans should be happy if there are any games at all in 2020.
  16. I haven't heard this question asked yet, so here it goes. WHEN players get Covid-19 are we just automatically assuming that they will return after 2-3 weeks and be their old "normal" selves? I mean even if none of the overweight OL gets hospitalized and/or dies, are they just gonna be able to step back in and play up to their "normal" standards after a bout with the virus? Let's not forget the coaching staff which is primarily composed of men in their 40-50+ age category. I am very curious what the "Protocols" might be WHEN this happens...
  17. I would just add that when cooking in a crockpot using "crock pot liners" make cleanup super easy...
  18. As far as I am concerned, I'd much rather BEAT New England with Cam as their QB than Stidham.
  19. I don't usually get picky reading other peoples comments, but the highlighted text isn't even a sentence. Depravity is definitely NOT the word you wanted to use either. Scarcity would have been much better and meaningful. I would want a top 5 draft pick for Allen at this point before I'd even consider a trade offer. I am very pleased with Allen's progress so far and expect continued improvement in his game.
