  1. The last 6'4" WR prospect that TBD posters were enamoured with was Limas Sweed. Remember him? We had the 11th pick that year & many posters wanted Sweed at 11. Sweed ran a 4.50 at his Pro Day. He slipped to the 2nd round, was too slow to get separation at the NFL level & washed out. Mike Williams reminds me a lot of him. Prototype West Coast Offense WRs like Mike Williams or Sweed aren't valued like they were 20 years go. Todays NFL requires WRs to get quick separation. Williams should not be considered until late 1st round.
  2. Kelvin Benjamin also ran a 4.53 at his Pro Day in 2014. He doesn't get much separation at all, and is only slighly more than a jump-ball specialist. I say No to Mike Williams at #10. A top-10 WR has to be able to get separation againbst NFL CBs, Corey Davis or best available non-WR.
  3. Definitely. Re-sign Hunter as WR4, Draft our WR2, pick up another FA as WR3, and we're set.
  4. He had 38 catches & 4 TDs in the regular season. Sure, a nice year, but let's not talk about him like he tore the league up. His last game was great, but will certaily be his best career game no matter how long he plays. But, yeah, I wish he was still a Bill.
  5. I think you guys are underestimating the Falcons run game. I know we had the most rushing yards, but they may be the most dangerous run game in the league this year. I fully expect an Atlanta victory.
  6. As much as Iove Mike Williams, with a Defensive HC and nothing at Safety, I'd bet the #10 pick is one of the blue chip Safeties.
  7. Lorax will need to be at 10 sacks by Week 8 to get noticed enough for people outside of WNY to vote for him. At his current pace, that could happen. McCoy & Hughes are shoo-ins. As good as Zach Brown has been, Bills players just don't get the same national exposure as many teams. I wouldn't be shocked at all if he gets overlooked for a vet who doesn't belong anywhere near the Pro Bowl. I think he'll be an injury replacement & go anywyay though.
  8. I think Woods is a solid WR2 in the NFL. Woods was hurt all last year & played through it, plus he & Clay were both very under-utilized last year. Sammy & Woods will be a top-10 WR duo this year.
  9. I own: Thurman Moulds Bledsoe TKO Spikes Stevie Sammy The Thurman is a mitchell & ness throwback, I wear it sometimes on gamedays. Other than Sammy, that's the only one not covered in dust.
  10. I liked him a lot when he came into the league, but Joique is toast now, he seriously has nothing left. I'm surprised he's getting a look from any team, let alone us. This would be a horrific signing.
  11. It was more like week 11 or 12 when he fell off, but good point.
  12. Glenn looked very average to me last night. He is definitely not worth upper tier starting LT money. He blew his assignment on the called run by Tyrod and allowed an un-blocked Chandler Jones to blow it up for a loss. Then we had to hear Gruden gush over how amazing Jones is.
  13. The Over/Under on bogus calls against us to extend Pats drives is 3. I've got the over.
  14. The credit can't all go to Whaley for getting Darby. I'm sure Rex identified Darby as a perfect fit for his Defense, then advised Whaley. Sure Whaley had the final say and pulled the trigger on the pick, but I really doubt he was the one to discover Darby as "the guy" we need.
  15. If EJ starts, we lose to the Jags. To the freaking Jags. That would doom the season. The passing game will be difficult with no Sammy or Harvin. EJ doesn't have the running ability to make a Defense respect the threat. It'll look like the Titans game with no Tyrod's running to bail us out at the end. A lot is riding on Tyrod playing this week.
  16. One of the guys on the panel that is off-camera made a fart noise in response to Carter"s comment.
  17. Holy LOL at "pre-Madonna". Is that like someone from 1981?
  18. You'd have to be insane to draft Tyrod as your QB1. He won't be in the top-15 QBs drafted, even in a Buffalo league. If you must have him, by all means draft him, but get a top-12 QB first. Could he end up a top-10 QB? Sure. But I'm not betting my season on it. Grab him as a bench player & see where it goes.
  19. I had my draft yesterday. Tyrod went undrafted, but Manuel got drafted in the 16th round. I almost drafted Tyrod, but couldn't pull the trigger after EJ's big game. Instead, I took Brian Hoyer with my last pick, as my 3rd QB. As soon as I heard the news today, I picked up Tyrod and cut Hoyer. Edit to add: This is a non-Buffalo league, so Bills players often get overlooked. I think TT can be a viable QB2 for fantasy. He could be a 2TD/game guy, with 200 passing yards & 50 rushing- that's solid.
  20. Gore didn't have anything left last year, let alone this year. I can't believe his signing in Indy is being looked as "game-changing". We'll miss Dareus for sure, but Gore won't have more than 50 yards rushing.
  21. There's no way we can afford Vernon Davis after the Clay contract. That would be extremely short-sighted. If cut, VD would likely go to team that already has a QB in-place & can compete for a title this year.
  22. I have to agree it was signing Mario. Feels like yesterday I spent days checking this board & the Bills official site every 5 minutes for updates, hoping he didn't leave town yet. That was the catalyst that started the change in perception of our team around the league.
  23. Agreed. He showed promise early in his career, but he's become slow and very limited offensively.
  24. Trent Green is definitely the okayest QB of all time..
