  1. McGahee for me, eff that guy.
  2. I just watched Uche vs Iowa, the vid showed every play he was on the field. He made zero plays in the game. He tried to speed rush or bull rush every time, and was easily stopped by the OT, no secondary moves. He did help collapse the pocket once or twice but never even got near the QB. He ended up on the ground 5 times, and surprisingly dropped into coverage 5-6 times too. I haven't seen any of his other games, but was very unimpressed by the Iowa tape, he was invisible.
  3. Still looks good overall, but I think everyone here would rather have taken AJ Brown in the 2nd.
  4. His utilization rate is one of the most baffling in the league. All those games where he had <10 carries but averaged 7+ yards/per, while Gore had more touches, just makes no sense. He'd be playing in the Pro Bowl if he was used correctly. It makes no sense to load-manage Running Backs. Most have a shelf life of 6-7 years, there's no reason not to use them heavily.
  5. I've been saying this for years. It wasn't bad when the game used to be earlier Sunday, but now with it going so late, having to party on a Sunday night sucks. The teams have 2 weeks off, losing 1 day is fine for them.
  6. I agree he was great the last few weeks of the season, but his biggest knock has always been drops. I know he dropped 2 TDs in a game earlier this year. No idea if you're getting the 5-week stud, or the guy he was before that. I think if we sign a WR, it'll somebody to help with our drop %, not contribute to it.
  7. Claypool seems to have an average of 6 inches of separation on his catches in that highlight reel. He does look great going after 50/50 balls, but he will have a VERY tough time getting open in the NFL. He also doesn't seem to have much open-field YAC ability, he runs right into tackles & goes down by the first tackler way too much. I don't see him as a year 1 contributor at all, but as a project, I could get behind him.
  8. Wow, really impressed with Van Jefferson. I hope his age & other talent at the position drop him to the 2nd. I'd be ecstatic with him in Rd 2.
  9. Josh Allen grew up a Niners fan. I'm cool with them winning it.
  10. Tua will fall. I bet his medicals are scary enough that he'll drop to the bottom of the 1st, or even day 2. His injury is the same as Bo Jackson's, and he probably can't play in year 1. Huge risk for a top pick. Who knows, maybe his agent will pull a McGahee & get somebody to bite...
  11. Brady was already maybe the 15th best QB this year. Another year of deterioration, and he's lucky to be Andy Dalton.
  12. Even in youth football, we coach to never leave your feet to catch a ball when you don't need to. There's zero reason Brown needed to jump to catch a chest-high ball. If I had an 8th grader do that, I'd have been flipping out. Really bad play by Brown.
  13. I've been saying that since I was a kid, lol. My friend and I tried to make an O-Fence sign when we were teens, but the fence looked stupid & we didn't bring it to the game. Still never seen one at a game.
  14. Green is the perfect addition for us. Sure, he's had injuries, but he could step in day 1 & be a WR1. He'd come for a semi-reasonable 1-2 year deal. We still NEED to draft a guy in the first 2 rounds, and we'd be set at WR.
  15. Renfroe is a Beasley clone, I totally understand not drafting him. Allen needed a strong slot WR who could be ready to go from day 1, Beasley was the right choice. I do think he was under-utilized, but Beez is a top-10 slot guy. Now passing on DK & AJ Brown for Ford, yeah that's something that Beane has to be kicking himself for.
  16. I hate when we run RPO plays, it seems like Josh makes the wrong read every time. Give to Singletary off-guard for no gain when the edge is open. Keep it for 1 yard when Singletary had a hole up the middle.
  17. Even that missed TD shows that Duke can do things nobody else on our roster can. He needs to play every game.
  18. Did we trade him to the Pats?
  19. Sam Mills belongs in the HOF. It's the "Pro Football" Hall of Fame, not just NFL. While his NFL career is borderline, if you add his 3 USFL seasons, he should be a no-doubter. He was 3x All-USFL & won 2 championships. Tackle stats weren't kept for the USFL (I'd bet he's the all-time leader), but he had 9 INTs & 15 sacks in 3 seasons, which is amazing for an ILB. If you haven't seen it, Mills' "A Football Life" is the best episode I've ever seen. Great player & an even better person.
  20. Need to get hits on Brady. Even if we get a couple inevitable bogus RTP penalties early. Give him happy feet & let the secondary do the rest.
  21. I would guess Brady is the 1st alternate, though totally not deserving of it. The 2nd would have to be Brissett, or maybe even Tannehill. Both of which should be well behind Allen. Brady won't go to the Pro Bowl, but whichever scrub is the 2nd alternate surely will. It'll take an injury to get Josh in, which is total BS.
  22. Aiyuk is listed at 5'11" on ESPN, but he's listed as 6'1" some places. No idea which is true, but he doesn't look 6'1" on tape. Say what ypu want about height not mattering, but I can't see us taking a sub- 6'2" WR in round 1.
  23. CJ Anderson was signed by the Rams last year about this time (Dec 18th), and they rode him to the Superbowl. He just so happens to be a free agent right now, and is only 28. Gore looked pretty good the first half of the season, but he's completely worn down. Aside from ball security, he isn't giving us anything at this point. Anderson would be the hammer we need. Oh, and CJ Anderson has only fumbled 4 times in 7 seasons...
  24. My son wants one too, couldn't find it anywhere except cheap fakes from China with sewn-on numbers. He already has one in blue, so there's always his next birthday...
  25. If we're talking about drafting a TE because we need one with speed, let's remember that Knox ran a 4.57. 40-times of guys mentoned in this thread: Kittle- 4.52 Fant- 4.51 OJ Howard- 4.51 Hooper- 4.72 Knox is already a better blocker than every one of these guys, and is pretty darn close in speed. Kittle's rookie stats were 43rec, 515yds, 2 TD. Knox isn't too far off from that. Now it remains to be seen if Knox's drops are rookie-itis, or if we have another Zay situation on our hands. But if he can shake the drops, he's absolutely our TE of the future.
