  1. Let's look at the other Bills O-lineman on the Wall of Fame... Billy Shaw- 5x 1st team All-Pro, 2x 2nd team All-Pro, 8 Pro Bowls. 9 NFL seasons, all with Bills Joe DeLamielleure- 3x 1st team All-Pro, 4x 2nd team All-Pro, 6 Pro Bowls ( 1 was w/ Cleveland). 8 of his 13 NFL seasons with Bills. Kent Hull- 2x 1st team All-Pro, 3 Pro Bowls. 11 NFL seasons, all with Bills Jim Ritcher- 1x 2nd team All-Pro, 2 Pro Bowls. 14 of 16 NFL seasons with Bills Ruben Brown- 2x 1st team All-Pro, 2x 2nd team All-Pro, 9 Pro Bowls. 9 of 13 NFL seasons with Bills. While I think Brown was a real good player for us, I really never saw him as dominant. But his accolades stand up against all of these guys, 2 of which are rock-solid HOFers. Voters are going to look at All Pro teams & Pro Bowls, which are quantifiable, I doubt they go back & actually look at film on OGs. I think Ruben deserves to be on the Wall. I'm not sure he's HOF material, but I won't be surprised if he squeaks in.
  2. I'd take the cash unless the Bills were in it. A regular super bowl isn't worth $20k. I honestly don't even want to watch the SB this year due to the matchup.
  3. Mario is already 40th on the all-time list with 91 Sacks, and he's only 29. If he duplicates this year's his numbers next season, he'll jump up to 26th. Assuming he plays 5 more healthy years, he's a lock for top-10 all time. 9 sacks per season over the next 5 years will get him there. Add in the fact that he's a complete DE, and not solely a pass rusher, and he's the next Bills HOF player.
  4. Manning has a long history of playing poorly in the cold, and he knows this. If he plays another year for a team outside of Denver, it'll be a dome or warm-weather team.
  5. Gore is done, he should retire. I'll be furious if he ends up on the Bills. We already have our own version of the old vet, and he's much better than Gore at this point.
  6. Ingram is a 2-down back. He will be way overvalued in free agency, and will get overpaid by somebody. Spending big $$ on a FA RB in today's NFL is moronic unless it's the last piece to building a championship contender. I'm not convinced he's any better than Brown anyway.
  7. Getting a new OC has to be a stipulation of Marrone staying on. Marrone's biggest knock in my opinion is his failure to recognize how over-matched Hackett is. He needs to admit his mistake in hiring Hackett and get an experienced OC. It'll take an order from up above to get him to it though. I could see Marrone being the long-term answer if a viable OC is brought in.
  8. He really should be the favorite for DPOY at this point, but the networks spend about 20% of their weekly airtime showing JJ Watt highlights, so it won't happen.
  9. I came here to start a thread on this too, good to others talking about it already. I absolutely loved the hit personally. It was really a microcosm of the game itself. Matthews was pursuing with his head down and got blasted. He underestimated our team, and got smacked for it. Just like the Packers team as a whole in that game. As hard as it was to watch the Offense, plays like the Wood hit make that game simply amazing for me to watch. I live in the midwest and don't get to see many Bills games in their entirety. And usually when they are on National TV, I'm left with a bad taste in my mouth. This time, I'm still fired up the next day. Feels awesome to have a team with an identity again.
  10. Foles would maybe be an option if he was on the open market. Not worth a pick though, unless it's a 5 or 6.
  11. I'd love to see Bradford here. He's had terrible luck with injuries, I think he's our only realistic option that'd be a sure upgrade from Orton/EJ. Now we just have to hope he gets released... I highly doubt Cutler is going anywhere, but he'd be a big upgrade too. If No Bradford or Cutler, we wait another year.
  12. If the Defense can get a hit on Manning & knock him out of the game, it's on like a mofo. Hopefully it happens before he throws his 3rd TD.
  13. His wife pronounces his name "Mar-kweese" in the video on page 7, so I assume that's how he pronounces it.
  14. Schwartz better have some blitzes planned. We made Tannehill look like Peyton Manning a few weeks ago, imagine what will happen with the real Manning if we don't get pressure.
  15. I've been saying for the past few years that Aaron Rodgers is the best player in the NFL, at any position. I agree with the OP, with the possible exception of prime Joe Montana. I hope Rodgers wins another Superbowl or 2 (as long as it's not vs Bills), so he gets his due among the all-time greats.
  16. Spikes is One & done. Some other team will pay him 3-down LB money, and he isn't worth that to the Bills. We need Kiko.
  17. Even if Orton does well, it'll be 3 games tops before he gets dinged with his mobility + our OG play. EJ will likely get back in by mid-season.
  18. Bears fans can be as drunk & rowdy as Buffalo fans, or civilized regular people- depending on where you're sitting. There's a huge difference between the lower level seats and the seats up at the top on the high side of the stadium. Nobody who pays $300 for a ticket is there to be a jackass, but somebody in the nosebleeds may be. For the most part, you're far less likely to get in a fight for wearing the wrong jersey in Chicago than in Buffalo, mainly due to the much higher prices keeping most of the riff-raff out. Back in the 90s, I attended Bears games on X-mas Eve 2 years in a row. Both games, I saw somebody dressed as Santa get beat up by drunks. I've been in Chicago my whole life, and attended 20+ Bears games. It's more civilized nowadays though.
  19. I really think Kouandjio will get IR'd, then both Hairston & Legursky will make the final 53. I'd much rather keep Hairston if they only keep 1. Legursky would literally be the worst O-lineman in the NFL if he makes the team.
  20. I've been intrigued by Cockrell since the draft, and looking forward to seeing him in action. I do think his skill-set translates best to Safety in the long run, I don't think he has the speed to be an outside starting CB.
  21. Legursky has to go. He isn't good enough for even a backup spot. Urbik should be the backup C, even if he wins a starting Guard spot. I'd much rather see Cyril Richardson (or anybody but Legursky) come in for Urbik if/when he moves to Center.
  22. I live in Chicago too. I keep telling all the Bears fans that they didn't face a Defense as good as the Bills all of last year. I think they're in for a rude awakening. I'm a little worried about our OLB position, but as long as EJ can manufacture 20 points, we should win.
  23. I'd like to see 3WR sets as our base formation, with Woods, Sammy, & Mike Williams. Hopefully the traditional 2WR pro formation was just part of the vanilla pre-season gameplan.
  24. Whoah whoah, pump the brakes here a minute! Peterson is definitely NOT the best all-around corner in the league. He isn't even top-5, unless "all-around" means including his punt returns. Peterson may be among the best all-around athletes in the NFL, but he is an above-average cover corner at this stage of his career. He's highly overvalued due to his punt return skills and his ability to take an INT to the house, but at actual CB skills- he is NOT elite.
