I also think he will beat out Dawkins for LT. We may end up drafting Jawaan Taylor or Risner, which would force Dawkins to LG- and that would give us a top-10 OL in my opinion.
-
It better not be 3 first rounders for Bo Callahan.
-
He may turn into a decent WR2 in that offense with Brown drawing the coverage, but he'd fall on his face if he was a #1 option. I'm glad we stayed away. My prediction: 51 catches, 745 yards, 5 TDs.

Are the Browns now the Favorites to win the AFC North?
947 replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think the Ravens are a playoff team with a full season of Lamar Jackson & and a worse Defense. They're a 6-win team IMO. Steelers are really the only team besides the Browns that can win the AFC North. I'd favor the Browns at this point. -
WR Cole Beasley- B+ G Jon Feliciano B+ OT Ty Nsekhe A TE Tyler Kroft B WR John Brown B CB Kevin Johnson C C Mitch Morse A RB Frank Gore C C/G Spencer Long B WR Duke Williams B Guys like Nsekhe, Long, Feliciano, & Duke are solid grades because they came really cheap & have a chance to be solid starters. I don't see how these can be graded any lower than a B.

This is my prediction as well.

Who gets cut when these signings become official

I don't think Bodine is gone, he's cheap & a solid backup Center. Morse has had concussions in the past, we need him. Ducasse is a sure goner. Ivory probably cut too. We'll cut at least 1 more OL, but probbaly not until after the draft. -
I don't think the Giants have the ability to tank bad enough to get a top-3 pick. Having Barkley plus 2 first round picks pretty much guarantees them 4-5 wins. They'll probably grab a QB & WR in the 1st & be on the upswing.
-
I don't see Teller, Zay, or Harrison Phillips being starters this year, even if we don't add anybody else at their positions. They're all solid depth players, and that's good teams need. Our backups last year were mostly pretty bad, this a major improvement.
-
Hughes was our best Defensive player last year, and should've been a Pro Bowler. These are not the guys you let go when you just made the statement that you're ready to seriously contend for a playoff spot this year. Hughes & Ansah as our starting DEs would put us up there with the elite Defensive lines.

Wow at his pass-blocking vs Clowney, what an animal. That's against a premier NFL DE. I hate to say it, but even his average plays in that game are better than anything I've seen from Dawkins.
-
This points to no more FA additions on the OL, and drafting either Jawaan Taylor or Risner.
-
Yes! Perfect slot for Daboll's offense. Beasley is just as good as Humphries. On a side note, Zay may be trade fodder.

At this point DeVante Parker makes sense to me.

He's got real potential, and has been either under-utilzed or hurt his whole time in Miami. I wouldn't give up a pick for the right to pay him 9.6M, but if he's cut, hell yes. -
Morse is a premier player at a very important position, this is a huge help to Allen. This was a very good signing, and the type of move that could help lure other FAs to sign with the Bills

Not a bad start to free agency

I like it a lot so far. If we add Cole Beasley & a RT, I'll be ecstatic. Then our only major needs would be a WR, TE, & OG from the draft. -
DeSean Jackson headed to Eagles in trade.

I'm glad we stayed away, DJax isn't any better than Foster at this point in his career. -
I wouldn't praise the fan either, but that guy would never have to buy his own beer in WNY again.

CB Kevin Johnson (Texans) to the Bills
947 replied to N.Y. Orangeman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Levi played well, but is very far from proven. Taron stays in the slot, and you have 3 solid CBs who can play outside. However it plays out regarding who's CB2, we're much better with KJ. -
What names a week from now would you like to see on buffalo?
947 replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Cole Beasley- just as talented as Humphries, but probably significantly cheaper -
Williams has short arms & his feet are too slow to play LT at the NFL level. Look at the list of LT prospects that busted and their arm length, it's not an exact science but arm length is a major deal for LT. Getting dominated vs Clemson showed both of these flaws.
-
Totally agree on Isabella. But couldn't disagree more on Jonah Williams, he is a very high chance of bust if kept at OT. Risner is the only bust-proof OL IMO.

What's your off-season worst case scenario?
947 replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We get outbid for all the RT & Centers, and our "impact free agent signing" is Funchess. Then we're unable to trade down, so we draft DK Metcalf at #9. -
I like Sills a lot. He's a 3rd or 4th rounder because this draft is so deep at WR. He can become a solid #2 NFL WR. I think he may need a year before he's a real contributor, needs to add some muscle to his frame, his arms & legs are stick-skinny.
