  1. Phillips is a future pro bowler in this Defense. He's not just a doubleteam eating 1-tech, he can penetrate- as shown by 100+ tackles last year. He'll be a rotational guy in year 1, but will really take off post-Kyle.
  2. I remember people saying that Eli Manning would be even better than his brother too. Joey Bosa is really freaking good, it's ridiculous to say that anyone is definitively a better prospect than him. I'm sure Nick will be great, but there is no guarantee that he'll be better than a guy who is already a top-5 DE.
  3. Why would they move without knowing who will be on the board at the pick in question? If they move up, it'll be while that team is on the clock & their QB is available.
  4. I'd like to re-sign him, but there's no way he's worth the $14-16M those WRs got this offseason, no matter what he does next year. Nobody will be offering him that.
  5. Mariota played really well in their playoff win, so he's overcome 1 major hurdle. We won't know how good he can be if he keeps getting hurt every though.
  6. Drafting Allen would be like dating a bipolar woman. She has all you could ever want physically, and even though you know deep-down it can only end in an inevitable dumpster fire, you can't help getting sucked in.
  7. If we miss the top-3 QBs (disregarding Allen), I'd rather wait wait until Round 2 & grab Lauletta. He has just as much upside (more IMO) than Rudolph or Lamar Jackson.
  8. How about Robert Griffin IV?
  9. I pray Allen goes #1 to the Browns, so we don't even have the opportunity to blow this draft.
  10. It would have to be LB at #12 if not a QB. I think OT at #12 is more likely than CB.
  11. Another vote for Option 2. But I'd rather take Roquan Smith at 12 & Rudolph/Jackson at 22.
  12. I didn't like Snead a week ago, because we didn't need another possession WR. But after the Zay incident, now I'm all for bringing Snead in. Realistically, we need to add 2 WRs, and 1 needs to be a speed guy. I say give Willie a shot.
  13. I'd feel much better if Compton gets signed, then we can at least go into the draft without our hands tied. Compton could start at MLB if we have to give up the farm for a QB. If we stay at #12, we'll probably draft LB at 22 and Compton is, at worst, very good depth.
  14. These "depth player" comments sound an awful lot like what was when Poyer was signed. Compton could be a really nice fit and have an impact, he wouldn't be a depth signing.
  15. You beat me to posting the 40 times.... Just from watching a few plays- Compton plays much faster than Preston Brown. No comparison. Compton would be a great fit.
  16. They'll take QB at #1, no way they can pass that up. It'd make sense for them trade out of #4 with us, to go after an OT at #12 and Guice at #21.
  17. I agree with this. Roquan could be an elite MLB in McD's Defense. He's the only non-QB they'd consider at #12 IMO.
  18. I would MUCH rather take Roquan Smith at 12 & Rudolph at 22 than this.
  19. You forgot Rudolph. Otherwise, I agree with your list.
  20. Barf!, this draft is the worst case scenario. We move up to #12 & take freaking Allen? Ok, if he's McBeane's guy- at least we didn't trade up to top-3 & do it. And we still have #22 to get a nice LB. Nope, we take a Center. And a 2nd tier prospect no less.
  21. We absolutely must add starters at the following positions (in order): LB, QB, RT, WR, DT LB- We could really use 2 LBs- I think we probably draft one & also sign a FA. I'm hoping for Roquan/Vander Esch/Evans at #22. QB- Even if the plan is to not trade-up & start McCarron- we still draft QB somewhere in Rd 1. OL- Need an upgrade at RT & RG. Will be hard to draft one that can start this year if we trade 3+ picks to move up for a QB. Late 1st thru 2nd round has a ton of solid OL prospects. Maybe we can snag Billy Price late in the 3rd & hope he can play this year. I hope we sign an OL before the draft. WR- Any drafted WR won't be much help in year 1. Probably a low-cost FA vet on a 1-2 year deal. DT- Need to draft a DT that can contribute this year, & start in 2019. DE- I don't see us pursuing any more DEs. Hughes, Murphy, Shaq, Yarborough, Lorax, & Ola gives us 6.
  22. Seems like a perfect fit, but give up no more than a 4th rounder.
  23. Whitehead is exactly the type of up-and-comer I'd think McBeane would be all over. Similar to the Hyde signing last year, solid player for his old team, but he could come to Buffalo & really excel.
  24. I'd be OK with this, as long as the rookie is Mayfield or Rosen. The other rookies will need as much as a full season on the bench before playing, in that case, I'd like a Foles or McCarron for 2018.
  25. Eagles rejected a 2nd when there were 5+ teams that needed a vet QB. My point is that is just became a buyers' market in the past 2 hours.
