  1. The only player I'd make that trade for is CeeDee Lamb. If he's somehow still there, it's worth it. Otherwise, take best available DE/WR at 22. The Falcons are a stud defender & OL help (plus a day 2 RB) away from being a contender again. I don't think they'd move down with a top Defensive player on the board.
  2. I don't think Haskins would bring the Skins any more than a 2nd rounder at best. His rookie year wasn't any better than Rosen's. I think they take a 2nd & run.
  3. Shenault didn't look to be in great shape at the combine. He definitely isn't close to as lean as most of the WRs there, even sporting a little extra weight around the midsection. That said, I remember we all knocked Alshon Jeffery when he showed up with a belly, and he turned out ok.
  4. I'm with you, I've been all-aboard the Mims train for months as well. I've been touting him over Shenault on every Laviska thread, mostly met with jeers. I'm at the point now, where I'd be ok with Mims at 22, but would be move comfortable with a trade down into the later 1st or top of 2nd. Drake just said he's looking for top-5 RB money. I'd like him too, but no way he's even worth top-10 money.
  5. Tyreke Hill's 2 college seasons: OSU- 31 receptions, 381 yards, 1 TD West Alabama- 27 receptions, 444 yards, 1 TD He wasn't invited to the combine, but blew the roof off his pro day.
  6. The 40 time isn't enough to vault Claypool into Round 1, considering his route running & separation ability. To NFL teams, the tape speaks much louder than Combine results. I do however think he could go in Round 2 now, based on the Combine numbers. I have no doubt that draft turds like McShay will project him in the 1st, I just don't see it happening.
  7. I became a Bills fan during the 1988 playoffs, when I was a young teen. I've lived in the Chicago area my whole life & grew up with the Bears, while that was fun in 85' a few years after, the Bills grew on me & became my team. I've been a Buffalo die-hard since then. I used to have to order my Bills gear from catalogs back in the day. Ironically, my wife is from Buffalo. I wish I could say that's why I married her, but it's really just a bonus.
  8. He's definitely getting released, makes way too much sense for the Bengals not to. I think he's a guy who'll get picked up in the 3rd tier of FA & get a 1-year deal. Doubtful it'll be us, but I'd be ok with it on a 1-year.
  9. Trading draft assets for guys like Alshon who not only are past their prime, but carry a huge contract is what dysfunctional franchises do. I could see the Bills doing this in the Whaley era, but we're not that organization anymore.
  10. I've said this in other threads, but I think Shenault is a final piece to make an already very good offense unstoppable, not a foundational offensive star on a mid-range offense like we have. Shenault would thrive on a team like the Saints or Packers. Us trying to make a guy like him our top offensive option is like fitting a square peg into a round hole. Before anyone says he could run the Jet too, we run Jet motion 2-3x a game, not worth using a 1st rounder for that role IMO. Mims on the other hand looks like a future WR1 to me (what we need), and he can be had in round 2 or 3. I'd rather have a 1st round DE & Mims, than Shenault any 2nd round Defensive player.
  11. I'd much rather have Mims than Shenault.
  12. Honestly, the comeback win vs the Jets in Week 1, it showed me that we finally have something. It set the tone for the rest of the season.
  13. The last thing we need is another 5'7" gadget guy. Please no.
  14. The Bears are a trainwreck of an organization. It'd be hard for any team to have success selling the farm for Mack like that, you'd really have to hit on nearly every remaining draft pick you didn't trade away. But then they also tied their hopes to Mitch, not to mention traded more draft assets to needlessly move up 1 spot for that right. This is not how contenders are built.
  15. It's a very smart move by the Lions to say they like Tua, their #3 pick gets more valuable by the day. They'll likely trade it to the Dolphins or the Raiders for a pair of 1st round picks plus at least a 2nd, maybe more.
  16. I love Dillon. Saw this highlight months ago & started drooling over having him. What really stood out to me in the highlight, is how many times he broke away & outran the field. I remember watching Motor's college highlights last offseason & was surprised at how few times he broke away, despite the absurb shiftiness.
  17. Allen is easily a top-10 fantasy QB for 2020, but most fantasy rankings lowball the entire QB position. Singletary's fantasy value hinges on who else we add at RB. If he becomes a committee back, he drops at least 50 spots.
  18. Tua had the same injury as Bo Jackson, and we all know how that turned out. I'd have to think it'll have at least some effect on his long-term mobility, but with all the medical advances, who knows.
  19. I live in Chicago, so I had seen first-hand for 5 years how awful of a coach Dick Jauron was. When I heard he was in the running for the Bills' coaching job, my heart sank. I felt sick to stomach for days after he was hired. I knew exactly how it'd turn out, and had to watch it unfold. That was the darkest Bills era for me.
  20. Shenault is a final piece to an already explosive offense, not a foundational building block to an offense, which is what we need. He'd make sense as a first rounder to a team like the Packers or Saints, but we need a WR who can run the whole route tree from day 1. There just isn't 1st round value in the "McKenzie role", no matter how amazing a guy is. If we could pair Shenault with Van Jefferson in the 3rd, I'd feel a lot better about it.
  21. We'd have to make Cooper the highest paid WR in the league to get him here, it'd be another Mario Williams situation. He's not even close to worth that. I like the idea of getting AJ Green. I know he's had injuries the past few years, but they're more the freak injury type than recurring. Just because it's happened before doesn't necessarily mean it's going to happen again. He has (if healthy) at least another 2 years of high level play, and would be the perfect bridge to the WR(s) we draft in the top 3 rounds this year. Green would be a lot cheaper & shorter term than Cooper, and is a much better player (again, when healthy).
  22. McShay is such a tool. His entire goal is clickbait, not educated analysis.
  23. 4.55 to 4.48 is a half-step, that's a pretty good difference in coverage.
  24. I think the Eagles are looking at a pure speed guy like Ruggs or Reagor. They already have big-bodied WRs, their need is completely different than ours.
  25. Allen's running technique in his Combine 40 is horrendous. When you watch it, it's almost comical, looks like an interior lineman. Most guys train hard for the 40, & learn a proper track start, and how to maximize posture & acceleration. I know he said he trained with a speed coach, but I'd guess it was only a couple times based on how he looked. I think it made him run in a way he wasn't yet accustomed to, and it was awkward for him. He is a 10x better runner & athlete than that 40 indicated. Josh is a top-5 runner at QB, no doubt about it.
