  1. How did this issue get raised again? Did Goodell get off the plane, hop in a car, arrive at Terry Hills (or where ever) and start shouting, "The Bills need a new Stadium!!" Or did he respond to a question as I suspect? We can't get mad at him for answering the question - we know where he and the owners stand. It's the damn media stirring the pot at a charity event - shame on them. It's only an issue if we make it one. I suggest we leave it to the Pegula's - they're no fools. When the time is right, they will start the conversation. Until then, let's enjoy the real team news/progress.
  2. Watched parts of the game while it was still in doubt. The Cavs never seized the moment - they missed too many shots.
  3. I had a sick feeling when I heard Disney bought espn a few years ago. It's now been confirmed - that WAS the death knell. I only watch espn for games I want to see (Bills, Pirates, Bandits (indoor laX), Sabres/hockey news which has all but disappeared and 30 for 30 if the topic is of interest. The rest of it is crap.
  4. There's no denying Brady's a great QB, but I'm losing any respect I've had for the guy. These appeals are paid-for by the NFLPA - it's quite selfish of him to ask them to do this. Beyond that, his appeals are keeping him in the spotlight and the issue is old, old, old. The 1st quote brings up a great point. It would be dream-like if they granted an appeal but said he could not play until it is held on Oct 24, 2016!! The 2nd quote is spot on. If for no other reason than costing taxpayers money, RBG needs to end the silliness and tell Tom to shut up and sit down until Oct 10th.
  5. Agreed!!! Donahoe and Mularkey fired him so Mularkey could hire a friend of his. The Bears were experiencing injuries over several previous seasons, so they hired him; their injuries went down and the Bears went to the Super Bowl (lost to Colts). I understand Rusty is retired - they should hire him as a consultant.
  6. In totality maybe - we didn't make the playoffs. But none of the experts expected the offense to improve nor the defense to collapse. They were 'right' for the wrong reasons.
  7. True enough. The real improvement from this team has to come from the guys who are already here. The Defense has to play like we know it can. If it doesn't improve, it'll slip further due to the losses of Mario, Nigel & McKelvin. Darby cannot have a sophomore slump. If the 1st 3 draft picks contribute, that'll offset the other personnel losses. TT must progress as a QB Shady, Karlos, Robert Woods and Sammy need to stay healthy. The right side of the line must improve. Charles Clay must play a bigger role in the offense. Rex needs to improve his game and clock management. Again bottom-line: the guys who are here need to step-up this year. We look good on paper, but didn't play to that level last year.
  8. It's OK if you can't afford it. I had Kelly Club tickets last year and sat at the 50 yd line and loved it! This year I can't afford it either, but when I can, I'll repurchase them.
  9. Agreed. I still say we cut Shady if Tyrod gets a rich deal because we cannot invest that much money in the backfield. The only reason Shady is getting sick-money now is because we haven't had to pay a QB.
  10. We don't need him to be a bright guy, we need him to be a good football coach. Brilliance and head coaching acumen are mutually exclusive. A lot of smart guys are crappy coaches and on the flipside, a lot of dolts are good coaches. Rex may not be the brightest when it comes to the world; but in the football world, he is accomplished. Many feel he is not - this seems to be the biggest cause for debate in Buffalo - especially after last season's defensive performance. I still have my money on him to right the defense. My biggest concern is QB; 'cause in this leage you are no where without a top-ten guy.
  11. Pete Prisco from CBS agrees . . . but not so much about the whole draft: Buffalo Bills - C Prisco's analysis: "If you love Lawson and second-round linebacker Reggie Ragland, this is a good draft. If you don't, and I don't, it's just OK. That's why I rate this as an average draft." Best pick: Jonathan Williams, RB . Questionable move: Shaq Lawson in first round. Third-day gem: Kolby Listenbee , WR.
  12. Exactly what i was thinking . . . . Thanks Fern!! http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2016/05/04/report-bills-to-host-free-agent-g-slauson/ From BuffaloBills.com
  13. I bet they cut him or restructure his contract if/when they re-sign/extend Tyrod Taylor. No way they can justify investing THAT much money in the backfield!
  14. Frankly, I like them both. What I'd like to see is a RED charging buffalo with a blue streak. That would bring it back toward the original standing buffalo which I like slightly more because it's red.
  15. Because the Pat's signed him. If he went to Miami or San Diego. We may not know that he left the Bills until training camp. Sick and tired of the gilded Pats, but when you have a great QB, you gotta let it play out - but 20 yrs is absurd!
  16. Clearly signed a deal with the devil. There will be a new musical on Broadway some day . . . Damned Patriots!

  18. I'm more worried about the two TE's in NE than I am in 7-11. That said, I expect him to have a career year with the 80-yr old Brady throwing to him. Geeze, when will that guy hang it up?!?!
  19. Not a bad slot receiver. Always seems to get open. Smaller like Edelman & Welker.
  20. Agree in one way, but they also dump the same type of guys who can help them (to dump salaries): Malloy, Welker, Seymour, Vrabel, Vineteri (sp), Ty Law, Asante Samuel & Willfork Cannot argue with what works. I think the guys they dump are better than what they pick-up, but the pick-ups fit the budget. As a result, they are perennially good, but not a lock on the Super Bowl.
  21. This. The loudest grumbling came from Mario on the DL, Dunbar, not Rex, would have been tasked with getting the DL to understand what they're supposed to do - - Or it would have been Dunbar's job to go to Rex and explain the DL guys want to play the Defense differently.
  22. Was initially worried, but: Signing Mario means good-bye to Vernon and maybe Wake too. The cut Grimes and brought in Maxwell. Remember Grimes was in the Pro Bowl (I have no idea why - - he sucked). Maxwell is a marginal upgrade, generally, he sucks too. Bills Kiko was near ROY and Pro Bowler. Eagles Kiko was a day late and a dollar short on most plays. They still have Tannehill and I have never liked him - the Dolphins settled on him. The Dolphins OL is still in shambles. No real running game either. So at this point, I am not worried. The potential dysfunction Mario brings and the coupling with Suh and the losses of Vernon and maybe Wake make the DL issue a wash.
  23. I don't want to see anyone leave without a plan to replace them with an upgrade. Otherwise it's just another reason we tread water or run in place at 7-9 or 8-8. Every time someone leaves or is cut I ask myself, "Myself, did we get better?" If the answer is NO, I cringe. Mario leaving does not get us better - BUT - losing that salary and the change in attitude in the locker room is a PLUS. I just hope we get a complement to Jerry Hughes. Losing Bradham doesn't make us better. Hopefully we can resign him or find an upgrade.
  24. He helped Cordy Glenn look better this year and the tag will cost the Bills approx $13m on him. And we're supposed to think Incognito is unreasonable for asking market value. At 33, they should have known it was coming.
