  1. So true - did you notice it took 2 seconds to spike it?!?!?!?! There were 3 secs on the clock, we spike it, and only 1 sec remained. I'm surprised they didn't tell us time expired! Seems to me the spike took a fraction of a second - just sayin. It would have been wild had they said, "No time left!"
  2. Wrong - watch it again. When blocking a kick, the blocker should extend and aim for the point where the ball leaves the kicker's foot. Sherman puts his head down, dips his shoulder and goes for Carpenter's knees! He never extends. His arms never reach; he tucks and goes for the knees. http://buffalonews.com/2016/11/07/series-questionable-calls-hurts-bills-halftime-monday-night-football/
  3. Really?!?!?! Then why did you have us at 12 last week? Doofuss!
  4. I agree with most of OP: The D was gassed - because of missed tackles and the Offense's inability to sustain possession. Even when the O scored the long TD - they were on the field for only 1-2 plays. Then the D had to go right back out there and the fish walked down and scored one of their TD's. Not having Dareus really hurt - especially for plugging the middle and being in the rotation. McCoy should never have played. He is great - plays downhill and 2 gears higher than everyone else. Everyone could tell he was missing 4th-5th gear the first time he ran wide. They should have said OK, we tried, he's not himself - sit 'em! He had 8-9 carries - wasted plays. The margin between avg-great in this league is minuscule as detailed by others in this thread. I believe Rex is the kind of coach that can help a team over-achieve - using emotion to overcome the slight differences in talent between our team and opponents. Looking forward to guys getting healthy and contributing. I think we have a 35-40% chance of beating the Pats and a 40-45% chance with the Hawks.
  5. With time of possession after the 1st half we could all see this coming. The go ahead TD was emblematic, the D got pushed over into the end zone
  6. defense wilted in the heat. No offense. McCoy was 1/3rd of his former self - should have been held out. down to our 3rd-6th receivers, barely used TE's
  7. They need this in hockey too - especially for hits to the head and going for the knees - - defenseless players that get injured. Guys would then think twice about head-hunting or going for the knees deliberately (I'm thinking of Chris Gragg and Pat LaFontaine.)
  8. Golfing Legend Jack Nicklaus is Nick O'Leary's grandfather.
  9. THIS! Blount was kinda going to kick him, I would have o-layed that one too! Did you see Brown (not sure which one) cream Blount after he caught a short pass. he was running parallel to the line of scrimmage and Brown just tagged him! Great D on Sunday!
  10. This and the fact Tyrod, when throwing, isn't using the middle of the field. And frankly, I wonder if he can throw a fade to the corners of the end zone (I don't ever remember him doing so). Bottom-line, we are not a threat to use the whole field and when the field is only 12 yds deep, it's even more difficult to succeed.
  11. They think they'll be putting McCoy on the defensive; but once they are put on the stand and explain their behavior that night, they will only be hurting themselves.
  12. I love Sammy. I think he could be a very special NFL WR if he can overcome the injuries and dings and aches that plague him and frankly, every NFL player. That said, it was painful watching him last week. It was as if he, like Christ, had a spike driven thru his foot. I wonder if they should shut him down. I'm also worried about Goodwin. Did anyone else notice that after he was tackled on the last play of the game, he was hurt? He was crawling & couldn't get up. PS - that play would have worked if he had gotten by that tackler.
  13. WOW To me, this is the white flag. An offense everyone is now supposedly comfy with is being thrown out? Hmmm, last time we did this Jauron canned Turk Schonert and we all know how that season turned out. Smacks of panicking. Change for the sake of change is never the answer. I hope they have a way forward, otherwise the next 15 weeks will be as miserable as the 1st two. Tyrod must really be great and Roman was restricting him - gosh, let's hope so. (Not betting on this.)
  14. OK then. Let's just shut it down now that we've accomplished so much!!! What a joke!
  15. Gosh - if you read it wrongly, it's Newer Afield - like we're lost or something!
  16. Well - we used to say I'm going to a game at "The Ralph". I liked it. It was pretty cool. Now we'll say - I'm going to a game at "The Cap". This'll take some getting used to. I can see the B-Lo News capitalizing: "Bills Cap Jets in Comeback Win". Let the puns fly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Looks like they hope to put a cauldron up there and host the Olympics someday.
  17. It must be July and a few weeks to training camp. Sportswriters should go on vacation when players and coaches do. They just need to keep someone on the police blotter!!
  18. Boy, if there's a late snowfall, the commish may need to dodge snowballs! Heck, knowing Philly fans' reputation, they'll probably make some fresh ones next winter, freeze them, and bring them out at the draft! Kim, Terry and Russ should start petioning to bring the NFL Draft to Bflo. That would be wild!! Canalside could be turned into the NFL Experience (like Chicago did w/Grant Park)!
