  1. Bean's point was Josh Allen's offense scores 30 PPG. Last year we dumped Diggs & Davis and people picked us to come in 4th in the AFCE. But everyone was surprised by Hollins, Keon had a good 1st half, Cooper came in and took some pressure off, Shakir is rock steady & reliable, Samuel got better as the season progressed and Kincaid was hurting and not as effective. THIS YEAR Bean is thinking they'll be better, thinking improved play from Kincaid, Coleman, Samuel; a positive injection from Palmer and continued steadiness from Shakir plus it's only April and Elijah Moore is in town, and other FAs are still available. But the overriding issue is the Bills score 30 with regularity and cannot stop their opponents when they need to - so they went Defense in this draft and hope that GOOD and young will translate into a Defense to match the Offense for the next 4-5 years.
  2. There was this Bills secretary who interrupted Kelly and his agents as he was about to sign his Bills contract saying there was a "call" they just had to take first!
  3. Those were the days. He was with the Dolphins for 3 years then they cut him loose. THEN the Jets hired him - how could a single Division be so lucky?!?!?
  4. 2) no MORE of their fans have got high and froze to death that we know about
  5. I hate the idea of the 4th & 15. The strategy of the game is to get up by 2-3 scores to make it difficult for the opponent to come back. The winning team thru 3 qtrs worked hard and had to march up & down the field to score. Then the 4th qtr comes and we make it easier to re-gain possession and score more easily when the clock and score should be working against them. If you're losing - yeah - it's great; but if you're winning, it seems (to me) the NFL would be diminishing the lead that was built.
  6. I still think he got screwed on the Comeback Player of the Year award after the 2023 season! (Flacco) I think the NFL agreed when they made him a nominee for the same award after the 2024 season. (Burrow)
  7. Another 'character' player in KC! It's like they LOOK for them!
  8. Look to see if the photo was credited to the photog - then reach out to him/her. . .
  9. The Bills STILL scored 27 last Sunday - just 4 pts off their average for the year. Several times this year I felt the way you do and poof, we score more than 30 by the time the game is over. I believe the Bills have a plan and they're working it. Only 3 losses and the Patriots giveaway (so they don't get the #1 overall Draft pick) this year . . . . the plan seems to be working. Remember, Clark Kent can don the cape anytime he wants!
  10. Per Fox Sports: The Bills quarterback is 20 of 27 (74%) on sneaks from the 1 during his seven-year career and four of six this season. (Admittedly - I find this hard to believe.) Liked the call - not the formation (1 tush pusher). Disagree on the bootleg . . . running east-west with a fast, penetrating defense is not a good idea.
  11. "My Defense allowed only 37!" Damn Special Teams!!
  12. Y'know, I think Ralph rented the Taurus and stayed at the Buffalo Country Club when he was here.
  13. Serious question - on the early snap by the Raiders Center - the penalty called was an illegal shift (I believe) which allowed the play to continue and the Chiefs recovered. I thought the call should have been illegal procedure and the play blown dead. What are your opinions??? Have you heard differently from the talking heads??
  14. My whole reaction to the play was: Find a guy Josh! Oh, you're running! First Down! Yes!!! Ohhhh, extra yards!! Great!!! OMG!! He's gonna score!! YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHH! He did it!!
  15. This. I saw the applause as props to Buffalo for beating them. I've seen him do it before, in other games and saw it that way on those occasions too. When you win a lot, like the Chiefs have, you become classy about it.
  16. I have no problem with Taylor Swift - she can go to any ball game she wants to. Last January, she and the Kelce's seemed to have a great time and Jason became a fan favorite. She was well-protected, safely chauffeured in and out with an entourage. The article-writer seems to be making more of it than truly exists.
  17. Interesting. But, pretty benign on this side of the 'pond'.
  18. We'll have to make do. Like, be a Super Hero?!?!?
  19. Agree (at this point of the season). Last year Josh got screwed. He was clearly better over the course of the year but because the 3 INT performance in the opener on MNF, people couldn't let go of turnover-Josh despite winning-out to clinch the division. This year, thus far, Lamar is lights out. Last week he was making Josh-Allen-throws. He's been playing great. Josh is playing more controlled and therefore taking fewer risks yielding fewer rewards.
  20. On the bright side, at least you weren’t thinking of Terry Metcalf….that would have made you really old!!!
  21. White is only 26. He was a monster in TB, not sure why he didn't work out in Philly, but being part of a Fangio Defense could be part of the explanation. Fangio looks for certain types of players to fit his D. So does McDermott. So the question is would White fit? That's up to McBeane. What I don't want to see is another CJ Mosley-type outcome (monster in Balt and now in NY for the Jets). I don't want White to end up in NY, NE or Miami for the next 6 years if he can reclaim his beast-mode.
  22. It's so hard talking about an MVP for Josh. I wish him nothing but the best, but the Championship is the goal, whether he has 2000 yds or 5000 yds passing is irrelevant. Of course once the season is over, whether the Bills miss the playoffs or win the Super Bowl - I want him to win all the post season accolades - of course!!
  23. Tarkington, I thought, was overrated. His teams were good, but never got over the hump because he wasn't a great QB. Oh, he was the best scrambler, but EVERY play doesn't break down and he wasn't a great passer.
