  1. Elway was 6' 2 1/2" and 210 pounds, and the smallest of the five 1983 quarterbacks. Kelly was 6' 3" and 215. (now looks to be between 6'1" - 6' 2") Marino was 6'-3 3/8" and weighed 214.
  2. Now that this was all said, watch the Bills draft a RB with the 9th pick!! AAARRRGGGHHH!!!! Hey, is Andre Reed available?

  6. I was sick too. Bad enough they were getting Mosely; but Barr too?!?!?!? When I heard he backed out I thought it was someone's TBD prank/wishful thinking! Then I learned it was for real - thrilled!!
  7. He's 6'8", 330 lbs and a 5 year vet (late start in football). Per PFF - "May be the best swing tackle in the game."
  8. Regarding each signing in and of itself - the question to ask is "did we upgrade ourselves at that player's position". The answer is yes across the board.
  9. That's not right at all, but that story will live on forever at OBD, no doubt. That's your opinion and your entitled to it - but it is not fact. The negotiations with Pittsburgh advanced far enough that the Bills asked to speak to AB's rep Rosenhaus (sp). When hearing how much AB was looking for, Beane pulled out. Around the same time, media-types were reporting that the Bills and Steelers were close to a deal to which AB said "Fake News" (because he knew the Bills backed out). All the noise then prompted Bean to make his "eloquent" statement to quash the "Buffalo is undesirable" threads.
  10. This is the wrong way to look at it. You need to look at it thru the lens of a team needing/signing WR's. Or players at the other positions. Mitch is now the highest paid center in the league. Word is Paradis will surpass that when he signs. Free Agency is all about the Law of Supply & Demand in 3D. The Supply & Demand of Players; the Supply & Demand of resources at positions of need and the Supply of and Demand for money on a sliding scale based on players and # of players at the various positions. FA is about positions of need - because they'll play now. The Draft is about the BPA - because they may not play regularly for 1-2 years
  11. I hope he gets "stuck" in Pittsburgh! No offense to the Steelers, but if this were about money (and I know he wanted more guaranteed), he overplayed his hand because (as a previous poster said) Teams will be spending their FA dollars starting this weekend and he could be left out in the cold. Here's hoping!
  12. If/when he's dealt - it'll be interesting to see what he brings the Steelers. If Bflo walked away from getting Brown and the Steeler's #20 pick for Bill's #9 and a Defensive Player; I wonder what someone else will have to pay. I believe the circus the Bills went thru will help drive DOWN the return the Steeler's reap - maybe a 2nd or 3rd rounder now.
  13. Hmmm, not hearing much out of Boston these days. With the Patriot Way taking on a whole new meaning, maybe Kraft did us all a favor by tamping-down the noise back east!
  14. To speculate on the termination of the 3 recent departures is wrong and unfair to the 3 individuals who need to now go out and try and make a living. When most of us lose a job, it happens in relative anonymity. These folks - not so much. Any hint of scandal or constant rumor-mongering and it could permanently damage their reputation and make it next to impossible to make a living in their chosen field. Who knows why these 3 are gone. It could be the tried & true "We're going in a different direction." Or perhaps there was cause. Reporters who dig into this may let us all know sooner or later. What we do know is that Kim is trying to establish a code of conduct at PSE. Brandon violated it and was gone. The 2 Xmas party-ers also violated it. These 3, who knows? PSE could do them a favor with an over-the-top explanation to erase any gossip about impropriety - but they won't issue that if there were any. Maybe that's whay we haven't heard more thus far . . . . More to come, I'm sure. . . . .
  15. Thanks for posting the video - I like what I see - big guy, good hands, makes contested catches, I disagree w/previous poster, I think he has decent athleticism - rumblin', stumblin' guy like Gronk. Reliable, gets open. (Don't misinterpret, he is not Gronk!)
  16. . . . and I think Marrone would really love TT's ball-security skills!
  17. What I noticed from the shared Edmonton high-lights: > Williams was not the receiver getting the running starts. > Williams does a nice job of high-pointing his catches. > Many of the balls thrown were off-target and he adjusted very nicely to the ball. This is a key attribute in my mind. > Decent speed, not a burner. > Good RAC, not afraid of traffic or contact. > Repeating myself - I really liked the way he adjusted to the ball - bad throws, tipped ball, switching from one side (where he expected the ball) to his other side so he could catch it.
  18. He's got nothing better to do than bait Bills Mafia! It's waaaaay to early for this. Let's reset after FA & the Draft, then the prognosticating can begin.
  19. I like the idea of a guy who has a track record of turning lemons into lemonade. Someone who has molded and improved a receiving corps.
  20. I really don't care, but I'd like to be an underdog in each game and destroy the favorite in each game. OK - I have to admit, I'd love to beat Brady's Patriots in my favorite-crushing dream scenario. And to have it all universally considered as the undeniable greatest SB run in league history. (That way whenever NFL Network does the Top Ten Shows - we'll always be at #1.)
