  1. I recall Bledsoe and the Bills being very hot, then came a game against the Pats and Belecheat unveiled the defensive game plan to neutralize Bledsoe. They kicked our tails and the season headed into the toilet from there as week after week, defenses put pressure up the middle, moving Bledsoe and rendering him ineffective.
  2. Because they are broadcast locally (CBS-Ch 4 in Bflo), it is blacked-out on the NFL Network. https://www.fingerlakes1.com/2021/07/19/nfl-network-to-carry-every-buffalo-bills-preseason-game-live-in-2021/ Excerpt: An important note here is that these live games are subject to blackouts in the local area TV markets. That would mean, for instance, that a local network affiliate in Buffalo could broadcast the game and prevent the NFL Network show from airing at the same time. As always, this works out fine in theory, but it could put places like Rochester and Syracuse into the possible position of being blacked out but not having a local TV broadcast to watch instead.
  3. Browns are rated higher based on how they played the Chiefs last year - and that is valid.
  4. I'd be shocked if he weren't Top 10. This is voted on by the players and every interview I ever saw or read, they all seem to say he's a 'baller' + more.
  5. I hear you but I look at it more as a free peek for non-subscribers that could turn into paying customers for The Athletic (as long as you overtly cite them as the source). Excerpts like this is why I now subscribe to The Athletic. If I hadn't seen stuff like you shared, I wouldn't have subscribed because I wouldn't have known what I was getting for my money. Now I do and it is worth it!
  6. I still maintain our receivers couldn't get the separation we are all used to against KC because of the injuries: Diggs - oblique, Beasley - leg, Davis - leg, Brown - leg
  7. Guys don't like to wrap-up and tackle because that's how they hurt their shoulders. So they like to ram or stick runners. If the runner has good balance, they bounce off the hit and keep going.
  8. You're right. They're close. But Rodgers (approx) 48 TD's and 2-3 picks is what will earn him the award. Allen is def more deserving than Mahomes this year. Mahomes is winning, Allen is destroying. Completely agree. I don't know if there is a standard - there should be, but I think there isn't one, otherwise we'd know about it. So every voter does their own interpretation when they vote and we all argue/discuss it.
  9. Giddy. Giggling like a school girl. Feels great!
  10. NYC is such a pressure-cooker. Even if you think you can handle it, why would you want to? The NY media is is an angry horde and the distractions are through the roof. I'd consider everywhere else before NYC.
  11. Serious consideration would be nice, but Rodgers should win it. Interesting to note - w/4 AFC POW awards, Josh has won 25% of this season's awards. Mahomes has two and Rodgers one (In NFC).
  12. Lots to think about. For clarification - best play or play that means the most (significance). If we keep it to best play, it may be easier - less differing of opinion and it would open it up to every single play ever. My first thought - Terrence McGee's end-of-half kick return against the Saints - if only he had scored!!! I'll need to chew on this. . .
  13. This was a stinker - no doubt. The key will be how they respond. However, two things to point out:(1) The Butler Interception & long return - he was down by contact - his knee hit the ground. A simple rewind and slow-motion replay on my TV showed this. Why the booth officials missed it I do not know.(2) The late Titan TD - Tannehill was clearly over the line of scrimmage. Prior to the snap, CBS' blue line of scrimmage showed the line precisely on the tip of the on-field arrow next to the "10" yard line or around the 7 3/4 yard line. Therefore, knowing this, when replays ran, you can clearly see he threw from between the 6 1/2 - 7 yard line. The late TD end-up being inconsequential - but I do not understand how they missed it on review - what if it allowed the Titans to pull ahead? The call was outrageous. It looks like the booth officials mailed it in when the Bills folded their tents. The interception return however, had a huge impact on the game and seemed to take the life out of the Bills. The game was over after that moment.I hate to say it but the Bills were over-confident for this one and got what they deserved in the end.
  14. Of course . . . . If any guy on this team is pre-ordained to catch the virus . . . it's EJ Gaines.
  15. I distinctly remember Nix saying he didn't like Russell Wilson's size. He couldn't get past that - he thought he was too small and his hands were too.
  16. Still one of the funniest things I have ever seen on the football field!!
  17. He was very good and an even more likeable, stand-up guy. I'd love to say yes, but I cannot. Part of the issue is he was an OG; there are only 15 in the HOF; it may be the most under-appreciated position in football - making it that much more difficult to gain HOF-worthy recognition. If placed among the following HOF'ers, ignoring the oldies who I never saw play, he comes up short. Lou Creekmur (T/G) Joe DeLamielleure Forrest Gregg Russ Grimm John Hannah Gene Hickerson Stan Joens (T/G & DT) Larry Little Tom Mack Bruce Matthews Randall McDaniel Mike Munchak Jim Parker (G/T) Billy Shaw Gene Upshaw
  18. A few thoughts . . . He's from Texas, everyone has a gun and feels entitled to it. Many are not registered. People in TX have guns like office workers have staplers. Video shows he was 100% compliant. Had a beer with him. OMG way too many people drink & drive, his crime was getting caught. Don't get me wrong, my point is the vast majority of those who drink/drive with regularity NEVER get caught (and if you asked them, they'd say they cannot believe they have not been caught). As bad as this is, at least he didn't exacerbate the situation with poor behavior. He'll probably get 4 games for 1st offense, but looks like he'll pay a larger price if there's any clause in his contract re: behavior. Looks like he was ATV'ing, who knows where, could have needed gun depending on where he was (wild game in that area could have been a hazzard).
  19. How can we listen? Go to the NBC or Twitter links and there is no way to play the recording nor inkling how to find it. Please elaborate. Found it. Go to NBC, then PFT (PM)
  20. Open a You Tube account and subscribe to Andy Provin - tons of Bills videos, I just watched the Bills-Jets MNF game from 1990. We were coming off a down week #@ loss to the Fish - they killed us. This was a rebound game. . . Enjoy!!
