This brings back so many bad memories. There's too many candidates from the Gregg and Dickball eras. I can't even go there. I'll go with a couple of nice fits of anger instead of a player who regularly made me mad. Nate Clements, knock the ball down. Bryce Brown, hang on to the ball. Nathan Hackett, don't throw the ball at the goal line early in the set of downs with Jeff Tuel. EJ Manuel, hit Stevie Johnson somewhere other than the shins on third down against New England.

It's a good point about bigger corners. I read the commentary from Thad earlier in the thread, and I have to say I have no idea how Elam's (larger) size impairs his fit in this defense. Douglas fits in this defense. Benford, who is probably about 20 pounds heavier than Elam and the same height, fits in this defense. Josh Norman has long fit in this defense. And so have smaller corners like Levi Wallace. So, contrary to Thad's point, I'm a little lost as to how size dictates fit at that position in this D, and I too am hopeful that Elam can figure things out.

As far as WRs, I think they now have enough options. If not enough of them pan out, then they can look elsewhere. I trust in Brady to do as he says and he creates play# to the strengths of the players. Regarding edge rusher, considering Leonard Floyd had the most sacks and he’s gone, they need a youngster to step up their play or bring someone else in.

If you've got a plan to fix something, then say it. If your whole schtick is to B word, moan and whine, and do nothing, come up with nothing, then save it for your wife. But if what you're trying to do is undermine the concept of people becoming better aware of their importance on this planet, then let's talk. I get that college is stupid expensive, but there's no doubt in my mind that a predatory (private) loan industry started making private colleges 'seemingly affordable', and then their bankrupt morals set their sights on public institutions. Every ***** one of us should have the United States of America given right to graduate high school, and every damn last one of us should be able to get at least a 2 year degree that fits into a pizza delivery driver's budget. Private monies ***** up our state universities, our doggam college football, and will just keep reducing the educated population until it is a bouillon cube.

I agree. Rousseau has been a disappointment. He's not a bust but he gets injured every year and despite a heavy rotation seems to wear down and is less effective as the season wears on. I agree with picking up his extension to see if he can improve. My disdain for AJE is well documented. Dumb idea to give him a second contract. No faith in Von is fair. From what we have seen since coming back from injury and his age that makes sense. I do think he played better in the playoffs than he did in regular season games so that might be a glimmer of hope.

I’m not overly optimistic, but some of this bigger corners — like Rasul Douglass — take a few years to really get their mechanics sorted out. Still, with Elam’s physical tool kit, and background of NFL DBs in the family things like poor footwork shouldn’t be this big of an issue.
