  1. Past hour
  2. Pats fans seem to be upset that he was released. My guess is they asked him to take a paycut and he declined, so with his injury history and presumably a new defensive scheme they are letting him go. But we could have him for the vet minimum because of offset language in his contract so there's no risk to us. And he has the exact type of skillset you use as a chess piece with very specific packages. I don't see any kind of downside here. I doubt any team is offering him a starting job so give him our best pitch for the role he'll play on a Super Bowl contending team.
  3. The Cure. Been around since the late 1970’s. Still tour some years, and when they do, it’s arenas.
  4. This is a good shout
  5. I tend to take the same approach. Roster 2 defenses and then play them week to week based on matchups.
  6. Could even cut the bag of footballs out and it’s still fair value. This trade was just a lesser Oliver and two late firsts.
  7. I went with 12 on the poll. But I would have picked 11-13 wins if that were an option. We've been either 11 wins or 13 wins since 2020 and I expect that to continue (actually just checked and we've alternated 13 and 11 each year since 2020 lol).
  8. You really don’t research stuff do you? Do a little digging on AF GDPNOW and stuff your b.oner back in your pants
  9. If a team with +600 odds doesn’t win the Super Bowl, the coach is a loser. Odds are….we won’t win the Super Bowl Ethan. If we do win it, you be still crying and whining for the next decade. Enjoy the season like most of us will!! But we all know you won’t.
  10. Also, traditionally a good majority of the Big 10 teams like having their games at noon instead of at night. There will be some games at night, but most of them get their games over with first thing.
  11. The Pats have released a lot of good players. But a team with a new coach who is trying to change a culture will do that.
  12. Easy call, much better than Hamlin. The question is does Hamlin have a lifetime contract?
  13. I would imagine a black light in a Motel 6 room would look like this.
  14. Surprised because you thought someone else was a better P/KR, or surprised they kept a dedicated P/KR? I think he's going to develop quite well on the PS, and will end up on the 53-- this season, or next.
  15. He’ll fit right in! They’ll need to buy another whirlpool for the training room, but that’s chump change and equipment doesn’t count against the cap. Get er done! 😁
  16. I hate to say it, but I'm not optimistic about this game. Outside of the Rams game a few years back, we tend to start slow, and that's assuming everyone is healthy. I fully expect some rust with Josh, Shakir, and a few other guys, especially in their timing. The Ravens are going to be hungry for revenge. I know the game matters for tie-breakers and I would love to pull out the win, but I'm not holding my breath. With that being said, I don't put a lot of stock into Week 1 games, and we will be a very different team come week 7, with suspensions and injuries coming back to us.
  17. Last year's offense with CJ Ogbanna would not have fared much better. The problem was a Big Ten D front versus a MAC O-line. They were getting blown up all night. And this O-line is mostly the same guys. It was what it was. I was getting a little giddy thinking UB could upset but it wasn't that close, despite the score being 13-10 at the start of the 4th. But that UB defense is totally for real and they gave Minnesota fits.
  18. But he's always hurt.
  19. Having a day to sit on this, here's where I'm at. Cap wise, I don't think we could have made this work at all. To trade Groot or Oliver would be a big cap hit, plus having to pay Parsons. In a magical world where that doesn't matter, for me it comes down to. Would you rather have Parsons or Oliver, Groot, and our next two first round picks. That's a tough call for me and I would say it's a fairly even wash. The deciding factor to me is culture fit, which I'm not so sure Parsons would be here. It's hard to say that for sure, and him being a top talent on defense at his age is tough to overlook. But in the big picture, I just don't see how Parsons would have fit in with our culture, salary cap, and having a "pay my top money" guy. Besides Josh, who didn't even ask for that, we expect everyone to have a team mentality. Would I love to have Parsons on the team? Of course. Just don't see how it would fit
  20. Fantasy baseball was around back then? As I get older though the mental aspect of the game really interests me. Like Mark Sanchez was being interviewed about the butt fumble and he said while it was really embarrassing he looks back on and laughs. Almost like yeah f it. Meanwhile Craig Ehlo had to seek out therapy for how many times Michael would get the better of him. I mean imo Craig had a pretty good career and Michael dominated everyone… I guess in that sense I can respect Mark for not making his whole life about that play
  21. Well played. There are certainly some questionable honorees. Most of the musical honorees however, have had pretty solid/influential body of work. Joni Mitchell, Earth Wind and Fire, Led Zeppelin - all great musicians and/or songwriters. There's probably some lesser talents there too. I have no problem with George Strait this year, as bringing back (keeping alive?) that western swing sound was a cultural achievement. KISS? Whatever. I guess they are living comic book icons.
  22. Yup. Anyone who says he isn't a clear upgrade over what we have needs to immediately call their doctor and report their symptoms. I'm dead inside and don't deserve good things, but god I would love for us to pick him up.
  23. I’m not sure that designing packages for a guy who just got cut is a great way to run a defense
  24. That’s what I was thinking, versatile guy. How is he against the run?
  25. Lawyer Milloy part II? 😂
  26. I was a little disappointed with Davidson, as well. But he lost his spot fair, and square, including on the PS. Maybe he could be a successful #2 TE somewhere? But a #3 TE has to be a stud at blocking, and on ST. Hawes will be both those things, and Kaleki Latu (assuming he is on the PS-- currently not listed) was better as well. Bills would have to sign him to the 53 to get him off the Jags' PS.
