It's game 1 of the season. By game 8, the kind of disguise, tendencies with personal groupings would be figured out by defenses. Then into the playoffs with strong opponents having pieces to deal with them, they usually folds. Not quite similar but a familiar path of the Bills a few years ago.

It wasnt 2/3rds of the stadium. It wasnt even half. -
One of the worst job of spotting the ball in NFL history. Terrible
-
Shout out to Kincaid. Very good performance last night. Not just on his clutch catches, but he had a few HUGE blocks on runs.
-
They are 💯 good enough as long as our D doesn’t suck it up and lose it for them. they aren’t great, but I don’t think WR will be what brings us down
-
I’ll let the rest of TBD posters praise Lamar. He is genuinely great. But Allen is the better overall player and always will be. Once Lamar loses his speed, it’s going to become much more difficult for him. What makes him a prolific passer (rather than just a very good passer) is the threat of him taking off around the edge. It is such an incredible advantage. DE’s always have to maintain contain and DT’s can’t over-pursue, and it’s very hard to commit to man because as soon as you turn around he runs.

I think it was probably something like this... the dude embraced and loves this city and it's fanbase because of this. He is constantly praising how awesome the fans are. They hit some adversity today and it probably hurt him a bit that 2/3rds of the stadium had just up and left because of that adversity. It would be like if you were in a relationship with your wife and you are constantly praising how she is always there for you and how much she loves you, but then one day you lose your job and she just up and leaves you because of it. -
That one was weird! I dunno if he thought the ball already went some where else? Or if it was a total mental lapse and he thought he was decoy route only? That one was frustrating AF.

I think as each game passes (no pun intended) that Josh will create more chemistry and trust with the new guys and things will get better . Last night showed he is getting more trusting of the guy that made the catch deep to get them in field goal range heck I can't even remember his name . But it's looking pretty good so far .

Sometimes the other guy is just better

Baltimore's defense was good, though they allowed 41 points, they had pressure continually, held Josh's running in check, little separation so a lot of passes short. 250 passing yards allowed and 22 points in the 4th quarter sort of mars that after the first Buffalo drive the Bills had 12 points over the next 6 possessions, with three punts. Meanwhile Buffalo made maybe 4 plays on defense the entire game (Oliver's sack and forced fumble and Bosa's fumble & 15 yard loss the big ones). Otherwise few & far between. And here we go, week two vs. Jets @ home and I expect the usual Bills defense looking much better against a much inferior opponent. This is an old story. -

Both are future first ballot HOF players. That gives some grace, but we will need to better when we play them in the post season..

We had The Comeback now we have The Rumble in The Ralph win with a TKO in the Q4
-
His job is NOT to be in that position of being forced out. That is on him. I agree overall that he had a very good game overall, but that was blunder through and through.
-
Yes. I think Bishop is athletic enough. His toughness and what’s between his ears is what I’m most concerned with. He will grow into his role with experience. Let’s see how it goes.
-
Not sure if we’re thinking of the same play, but my recollection of it (haven’t rewatched the game yet) was that Josh had bad ball placement on that pass. If he led Shakir, the contact may not have been on the ball/arms and it would’ve likely been a catch. the placement of the pass made it much more difficult. Definitely not a drop imo…. But who know, we might be talking about different plays

Possibly. The on field interview didn't ask him about the fans, he still decided to mention people left early, and we need to "have some faith next time". -

True if you always go the exact same way pretty easy to figure out I mean play off of that go right, have josh step in then pitch out or something but that is like giving the other team your play book if you ALWAYS run to the left just saying ...

That high snag "rebounding" catch was beautiful. That thing was zooooooming!! Also felt like him and Josh had a miscommunication on a 2pt in end zone (I think it was a 2pt, or was it for a TD?). Josh rifled it in low, and Keon was expecting a bag shoulder lob. Palmer looked nice last night. What a clutch play that was on last drive. Hopefully we can crack open his potential!!
