Debate Over: Drake Maye can’t hold Josh Allen’s jockstrap
NewEra replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
lol. Yes, I understand that there is a difference between QB and Passer. This season is all I’m talking about. -
Trump’s Rob Reiner Post
The Frankish Reich replied to SCBills's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Agreed. I tried a lot of things in my younger days. But even with drinking, I was the guy who if I drank to excess (and really felt it) the night before, I didn't even want to look at a drink till the next weekend. I've seen some of these fentanyl stories. One of them followed an addict who "overdoses" (is there really such a thing with fentanyl?). He smokes it and within 10 seconds his head drops and they have to call 911 to Narcan him. When he comes too he says he doesn't remember anything after he lit the lighter. In other words, like being put under general anesthesia, counting backwards from 100 and you're out by 94. What "experience" is there to even enjoy? Yet they don't have a death wish; they want to keep living. To do more fentanyl. The epilogue tells us that he died from an OD a few months later. -
Who knew JJ Watt was such a closet Pats fan the whole time he played? His commentary was radio homer-level stuff and had no business on a broadcast. I realize it wasn’t the national game, so at least the majority of the country wasn’t subjected to his mad ball-washing of all things Vrabel.

The phrase "just give it to him" comes to mind.

It isn't fully fair but every player and coach says their is major value to winning your division and being rewarded with a home game. Teams mold their rosters based on their division opponents given you play 33% of your games against them. The NFL has lightly mulled the idea of a provision that you need a specific record or amount of wins to host as a division winner and it dies every time. Why? Money for owners is big and the last thing they want to do is give it up. The true way to fix the division issue is to go back to just an East & West division per conference merging the Conference East & North divisions and West & South. You would never have a bad division winner again, you would end up playing 75% of the conference yearly, you can still rotate a rivalry game from the old division you were in so you get a home and home every three years, and it would allow wild cards to host again. Years ago I explained how to do this and the basic format in a threat. If you ever want to see wildcard teams host you need to condense divisions so the prize is greater across the board.

I appreciate that, but it’s better is they think they still have a chance at the end. No matter how small that chance may be.

any further info on Gabe Davis being inactive yesterday?
hondo in seattle replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am not Gabe's biggest fan by a long shot, but even I would have dressed Gabe before Keon. -
I agree, but losing that game won't blow the division. We kinda did that when we lost to the pats and fins by playing awful against both teams. Playing the spoiler against a division opponent seemed to work against the bills earlier this season.

Vrabel whining about the officiating in Bills/Pats

Just Give It To Them game. Its such a famous screw job, just google - Just Give It To Them Game- it will pull up the screw job. Dude caught the ball on 4th down, in front of the First Down Marker, and several feet out of bounds. All after refs said "Just Give It To Them" Pats have time for 1 play, and throw a Hail Mary. The Bills stop the Pats again, for the 2nd time. But for the only time I can recall, in any NFL or College game, they called pass interference, on a Hail Mary, and gave the Pats 1 more more play at the 1, and scored. Refs fixed Patriot victory over the Bills, who clearly won the game.

McDermott still in over his head
hondo in seattle replied to vtnatefootball11's topic in The Stadium Wall
Good point. If either Vrabel or McD was outcoached, it was Vrabel. He had most of the advantages and still lost. And he'll probably be named Coach of the Year. -
Their chances ended yesterday, it was a terrible weekend for them. They have like 1% chance of making it even if they win out.
-
It’s unlikely that week 18 will matter to them but, as of now, Miami is alive.

I was thinking the same about the slow start. During the game I was pissed. I needed to step away because I needed a time out. But after the game, I said to a buddy "if the Bills could just play a whole game like they do the second half, they would destroy any team in the NFL flaws and all". That's crazy right!? We know the warts and still. -
fans from other teams that come to TBD to troll get what is coming to them. aka shown the door. Discussing and trolling between rivals will never be that civil a conversation. Posters who can successfully bridge that gap and not be booted are few and far between I will cop to going to opposing teams message boards to soak up their misery after Bills victories. But signing up to be a troll nah. I not that invested in being a troll The thing about this board is we have the football IQ heavyweights that can call them out on their **** and that might be a shocker to them] Don't come in here with weak troll smack that does NOT fly. But discuss with a tone of candor and humility? Yes.

Garrett suffered a hip injury in yesterday's game. He played through it, and said it hindered him. His 1.5 sacks were before the injury. I'm sure he'll play this week, but won't be 100%.
-
I disagree as we need Miami to still have something to play for vs the Pats*** and a loss tonight really hurts their chances to still be alive when they NE***.
-
Steelers tonight, Ravens next Sunday. Keep punching NE in the mouth, hurt their confidence and show the Jets and Miami how to beat them. I have a feeling AFCN is going to come down to PIT/BAL Week 18 anyways, where PIT will need to win.

hondo in seattle replied to vtnatefootball11's topic in The Stadium Wall
When I saw it live, I thought it was a catch. I don't know much about the ex-ref. Is he watching from the sideline, the booth, on TV? I guess no matter what, you can say he didn't do his job because he missed a call that could've been overturned. But it might have been an understandable/forgivable mistake depending on what the circumstances were. I do get that maybe McD should have thrown the challenge flag without a replay or input. Low risk/meaningful reward. Still, for me it wasn't a critical mistake under the circumstances. Watching the game, I was far more bugged by Cooks' drop. -
Garrett apparently played with a slight hip injury Sunday. No further info on how serious or whether it affects his availability for Bills' game.

That’s ok but is dalton kincaid still skinny?
