  1. Past hour
  2. They have to do something. Definitely not getting past KC in the playoffs. Now the Bills will have to fight for the AFCE. Thanks Brandon, thanks Sean.
  3. This team has a history of winning a lot of games and against good teams too like the lions and chiefs last year. People on TV have to say stuff, negativity is what attracts you. Realize that and look at the whole situation over time. This team will get back on track the only question is if they can get over thebhump in the playoffs. Same question would exist if they were 6-0
  4. I was absolutely shredded at the beginning of the year for saying the defense took a huge step back and Josh would have to score 40+ a game to keep winning. Hoecht and Ogunjobi were supposed to come in and somehow shed their career mediocrity to save a poor run fit defense. Now we can all agree, this is a .500 team who might luck up in some tight games and slip into a wild card slot. At least those of us who have been following the team even through the dark years are used to spending the season looking up at the pats.
  5. A lot of us have been saying that for years- we have no top shelf monsters that will scare and disrupt the opponent (on offense or defense, really). McBeane believes in a team being more than the sum of its parts, and I respect that philosophy but we’ve taken it to the extreme. SOME of those parts need to be high quality parts, or the team isn’t going to be a high quality team.
  6. This is what bad drafting and poor coaching with a once in a lifetime QB looks like on a protracted timeline. The team sucks and we'd be lucky to have a winning record any of the last 5 seasons if we had an average QB
  7. Olave and Kamara for Coleman, Davis, a 2nd rounder and 5th rounder. Olave and Kamara would only cost around $1m each for cap purposes and this offense desperately needs a jolt.
  8. Thanks Gunner, if they can't get it done, they've got to go.
  9. And Beasley and brown were clearly slowing down. Davis had issues to show he’s not a No. 2 but had a big game in playoffs so they didn’t upgrade the next year. Beane has needed to add receivers for a few years now and that was before Brady. You kind of have to replace players when they regress or leave.
  10. cgang

    Keon WTF?

3 receptions, 6 targets, 11 yards. That’s our first-ish round pick in his second season with JA throwing to him. Josh had a miserable game but I don’t see Keon doing much to help him.
  11. Opposing teams have figured out Brady right now; he needs to change things up. And effective changing up doesn’t mean pulling your star RB out of the game, or calling jet sweeps on 3rd and 1.
  12. Some old thrashards making a stand lately
  13. Brutal week or two for Buffalo sports. While I’m not a big hockey fan per se how the Sabres have been handled certainly doesn’t make me optimistic about the Bills. From an outside perspective re hiring Ruff seemed equivalent if the Jets re hired Rex Ryan
  14. Herman is somebody whose views on football I have respected for quite some time. On ESPN Sportscenter he gave the following precis of the Bills post game when asked who he thought they were: "They are capable of beating the teams they should beat and have beaten. But the teams they've lost to are a little bit better than the Buffalo Bills. And you don't want to say that - it's hard for me to say that because I'm a Josh Allen fan. But now I've been watching them, and I'm going 'who scares you when they break the huddle'? It's like ooooh, I don't know. I mean, apart from Josh and Cook, the other guys are good players - but they don't scare you" When asked if he thought they were middle of the pack: "Yeah - because of that guy - Josh Allen! Usually Josh Allen fixes everything for them. It seems like all the time he fixes everything. And they generally play it close when he has the last possession where they can maybe win the game. But now all of a sudden it seems like the run is starting to wear him down" My personal view is that this is a damning indictment on the roster building philosophy of Brandon Beane. Sobering stuff.
  15. As long as the sun rises, Pegula will NOT relieve either Beane or McDermott of their duties. He's still making a crap ton of money and the franchise is still one of the talking points in the NFL, so in his own mind, he has no reason to change anything.
  16. Every player needs to own their part, and Allen was a major issue last night.
  17. The offense only looked like itself in that first half of the 3rd quarter when they rode Cook. Cook is their best player outside of Allen by a wide margin. The minute they went away from Cook in the 2nd half the offense stalled again. On WGR they just said Cook didn’t touch the ball on the last 3 possessions!!!!! This is all Brady’s fault and it’s criminal. Allen having to work that hard for a <200 yard passing yard performance is on Beane and Brady. I don’t understand how he can’t find plays to slow down a blitzing D. Allen was superb at this in years past.
  18. The problem that i have with the FO is that they believe they are the smartest ones in the room...........you know, like no other person or fan has ever followed this team or football their whole lives and knows nothing except for the nonsense that our FO spews to its fanbase every season, every week. We, as a fanbase, may not know everything about football, but we know a lot more than what this FO will ever give us credit for, and we know that what is happening to this team is just wrong. We deserve better.
  19. Ha! Just saw Dan Fetes from Buffalo plus say he would take last years Von Miller over Joey bosa. the crap I have taken for saying that from day one. Brandon Beane loves to be on the radio and tv, he needs to answer for the dreadfully bad offseason. The defensive free agents were a pathetically bad group of players. Injuries to rookies are no one’s fault but free agent spending is beane’s job. i don’t know how you fix this defense during the season, especially if jones is out for the year.
  20. It can't be any clearer. We need a WR before the trade deadline. Go get one with whatever it takes. Don't worry about giving up draft picks you'll waste on bad choices. Its past the time to do the job like there's no tomorrow. Winning the SB is all that matters. For starters, I heard AJ Brown is unhappy in Philly and could be available. The defense has reinforcements coming off suspension and injury. They should show some improvement after the bye.
  21. It's obvious we need outside help at this point and Beane needs to step up, damn the salary cap. Figure it out. And generally as a whole ... if we can see the issues, they can as well and shouldn't need Josh to tell them. I have little faith Pegula will do much of anything given the Sabres debacle but Beane should be on the phones as we speak. We have beaten teams that have a combined record of 3-21 - toughest games to come. Fix it.
  22. Maybe I have bad info, but I was told Walker lined up with starting 4 at warmup. Before Jones pulled his calf.
  23. when i've been in management i've always been aware of the projects my team works on and always been open door policy to discuss things when employees felt the need to come in and this was important. the open door policy for me applied to them because when i became concerned over the direction, lack of attention to detail, or any specific points of my team i would use their open door to review the issues. mcdermott is not minding to his coordinators and keeps getting immature coordinators who always take the blame. frazier is the only experienced coordinator to work under mcdermott and see the writing on the wall to "retire." frazier had his defense taken from him and meddled with when it mattered and in the chiefs game it 100% showed and this is why the defense got so pissy in reaction. this is why Hughes was openly vocal in the locker room, why fights were happening in the locker room after the game. mcd preached accountability and didn't take any when he meddled in it. further, he changed the play on the kickoff without letting the ST coach do it which is why we kicked deep when the coverage team was told to cover squib. players were pissed because mcd caused that outcome and didn't step up and say he did poorly to the media and let everyone take the blame. in the lockerroom he didn't acknowledge his problems and just gave a cheesy mcd statement - and palyers were pissed. o vs. d. i forget the OL but he was ready to throw fists and hughes was pissed at the defensive staff, too. the same story was with dabol. dabol saw mcd was a fraud and left. remember the chargers peterman game? the team leaders went to mcd and said they did not like having peterman start but dennison pushed mcd to do it and mcd didn't listen to his team. in the halftime lockerroom the team was near mutiny when it was found out that pterman would start. players texting people that they were confused and don't get it. peterman comes out and mcd kept saying trust the process and backed peterman when his entire team gave up on him. in the end mcd used dennison as the scapegoat for mcd unwilling to make the call or trust his team.
  24. I doubt Pegula even talks to beane/mcd about this. why would he? beane and mcd are con men and will just platitude terry to death.
  25. Losing sucks. And it makes people crazy.
  26. Maybe but I think if Palmer doesn’t get hurt and Kincaid plays the Bills would have moved the ball a lot better and won last night. Brady has been calling bad games though. His jet sweeps to tight ends and the one last night on a 4th and 1 were both back breakers in both games the last 2 weeks.
