I agree with the poster. Borrow spent the entire 1st half completly comfortable in the pocket, even Mitch Trubisky can find an open receiver. McD must have been listening to 97 rock on those head phones

I recall this was a problem his first year. He is moving back to his old tendency.

It was pick your poison, blitz & get torched or don't & die slow. They tried to situationally blitz to make a play. It worked to get a sack & pick 6. Good players make good coaches (see Texans front 4). McD is doing the best w/ what he has.

I agree with you, and really don't understand how people look at it much differently. Beane has done well overall and people really need to compare him to other GMs and not to their own version of perfection. All GMs make draft mistakes, all teams have some weaknesses. As to the WR problem. It is more recent than forever - remember at one point we had Diggs/Brown/Beasley. The real surfacing of this fiasco has been post-Diggs. I don't even think Coleman was meant to be a WR1, he just needed to be WR2. Getting the FA A Cooper was meh. And one of the worst moves, IMO, was the Palmer deal - was he really thinking that was WR1 material? Maybe Beane thought it was a stop gap until he did another in-season trade (ala Cooper but only a little better this time) I think Beane might be feeling a little heat to get JA a top tier WR, and that's a good thing (Beane's public admission to trying for Waddle was telling IMO). I hope the pressure is such that it results in bringing in a proven WR (not the hope of a draft pick). I think it will, Beane is a smart GM. Not to get ahead of ourselves but the off-season will be exciting in that regard.

From my bad memory (even though it was only a few weeks ago) Josh had some success when rolling out Vs Houston. If we play them again I would go up tempo and have him do a lot of that. Get him moving around and throwing on the run. I'd also instruct him to just scramble them to death. See a lane and hit it, slide or get OOB so they can't take free shots at you which will frustrate the hell out of such an aggressive D. I think they would start getting chippy and get flagged a few times. Try and get a lead with this method and then hope Stroud poops himself and we get a couple of turnovers for short fields. That's what I'd try anyway!

You have the easiest strength of schedule and the 2nd worst strength of victories compared to every other team in playoff contention. We will see how you do this weekend playing a focused Bills team who has your game circled. Won’t be like the last game where the Bills played like they just got out of bed.

Was at the game with the family which was incredible! There was one particular series where I think Mcd called a timeout and I’m telling there was a lot of confusion in the defensive backfield on who had who. Like Literally no one would have been covering Chase. Benford seemed to shadow Chase a bit and then Bengals would shift another receiver to that side, Benford shifted over and took that Wr- Losivas maybe leaving Lewis on Chase. Really interesting to see these plays unfold from the Angle we were at.

Conference loss behind kc though so if kc wins out there’s nothing Miami can do they lost the head to head with Baltimore also…if they win out it still might not be enough they may be the best of the 3 but it will probably be too little too late

I saw I series yesterday when dj walker answered tj were all in the line at the same time. Dj and walker froze the line of scrimmage and tj can down and made the tackle for the loss.

At this point I consider it an exceptable shorthand for 3 or more asterisks.
