The final play to Shakir. Samuel was wide open for easy TD
Einstein replied to MikePJ76's topic in The Stadium Wall
It is. Which is why Allen did not throw it. You can try to word-soup it away, but its an INT waiting to happen if he throws that when you wanted it thrown. He only appears only because he scrambled and the defense shifted. Its also funny watching the people upset at him for throwing "home run" balls, now wanted him to throw an ultra risky endzone pass. -
2018: @ BAL @ MIA 2022: Vs. NE (Only win) 2023: @ PHI vs. KC (Div. Game) 2025 Last night. He also called the Giants upset against the Chargers last week. You know, the one where everyone got to rave about Jaxson Dart? Here's the data I have: https://www.pro-football-reference.com/officials/HochSh0r.htm.

A Few Thoughts about the Pats Game - Post yours as well
stuvian replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I expected us to split the series with the Pats this year. I did not expect us to go 17 - 0. I didn't watch the entire game. What I did see made me think the Pats wanted this worse than we did. Vrabel will be a challenge every game. We've been playing with our food for a few weeks now. KC did it last year and the Eagles are doing it this year. There are just too many games and too many injuries in a 17 game season. The league is watered down and the regular season just doesn't mean as much. We didn't play badly but were the less focused team on the field. I still think we're the best in the conference -
Ridiculous stat that sums up the secondary play
The Wiz replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well, McD said it himself, the defense is meant to dare teams to pass the ball so they are taking advantage of it. What a guy to help out the other teams offense! -
regardless that's a big about face on him from what bills were selling preseason

The Bills lost their best Fan this morning.

Seriously. You can’t have just one! -
This is bull####! When McD came here had to play young guys because they were in a rebuild. A lot of those guys became a big part of this team. Now he puts to much emphasis on the playbook and plays aging guys who are more familiar. It slows down the development process of our young guys and a big reason we don’t get much out of them.
-
Thank you. That was what it looked like on TV but you can never be 100% sure with limited broadcast angles and their burgeoning propensity to forego replays and instead opt for the human drama of a view up a coach's or QB's nostrils.
-
When CC said in the first half something along the lines of “man, even if the Patriots put on a strong showing and keep this close that absolutely would show they are back..” Something like that. When I heard it I said we’re “f…ed.” Everyone got the assignment.

The Refs and this “rigged” league
Boo Radley Boston replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Kraft goes to every game regardless of where it is. Doesn't Pegula hit the road games too? NFL owners typically make accommodations for other NFL owners throughout the league. Buffalo had 11 penalties and NE had 8 penalties They were flag happy all game. The personal foul 15 yarder on the Bills LB for bumping heads with Maye was not deliberate. To me its incidental contact. -
Probably slept in and showed up late for a practice or some other dumb ***** a 22yr old would do.

The Patriots have a much easier schedule with only the Bucs as a tough opponent. Umm, well, and perhaps Buffalo at NE. That is, if Buffalo fixes their secondary. Pats schedule, Saints, Titans, Browns, Falcons, Bucs, Jets, Bengals, Giants, Bills, Ravens, Jets, and Dolphins. Buffalo schedule, @ Falcons, @ Panthers, Chiefs, @ Dolphins, Bucs, @ Texans, @ Steelers, Bengals, @ Patriots, @ Browns, Philly, NY Jets. -
Milano was awesome for so much of his bills career. For a few years he was my favorite player. The guy had a nose for the ball and was at the center of so many big moments for our turnaround…..how much longer are we going to keep going forward here? At what point is the injury thing to much. We need to just say thanks and turn it over to a younger healthier guy.

I mean some things are just coincidences.

The American Media Should Not Be Trusted
leh-nerd skin-erd replied to SCBills's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I always hate to see people lose their job, but it’s the Opinion section and one guy has been there nearly 40 years. Maybe time for some new blood? -
And the fact that Brady not only gave up on the run, but didn’t throw more than 1 pass to James out of the backfield (2 high killer) is coaching malpractice.
-
I think you play Shaq the rest of the season, resign him to a 1 year deal next year and draft high at that position as well. We have to be done with Milano and WIlliams should be relegated to special teams.
-
Another CB that was likely in consideration at our pick - Trey Amos - was all the talk of Commanders camp. Supposedly was looking like a star. I think he got banged up too, but I don’t know how he has fared. We need Max to desperately upgrade the secondary.

I am every year. Just two years ago, they almost didn't make it. Remember how we had that Sunday night game in Miami that was going to be win and in unless the Jags got dumb and lost to the Titans (they did)? Same thing in 2021. The 13 seconds game doesn't even happen if they don't win out after the loss in Tampa Bay. Remember, the Pats were in first place until we beat them in Highmark in week 16. Now, because we lost last night, we're in a dogfight for the division and there are a bunch of teams in the AFC that are currently winning that could keep the Bills out. It currently looks like the Colts or Jags might take a wildcard spot. Both the Chargers and Broncos are good so we could get two or three teams from that division. Last year, only the Bills made the playoffs from the AFC East. It might be a one-team division again, and last night made that a much tougher path. So yeah, I'm concerned about making the playoffs.

The final play to Shakir. Samuel was wide open for easy TD
Alphadawg7 replied to MikePJ76's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sorry that is simply not true. If the ball is out in front and to the outside, not only can the S not close on time, the only way to intercept would be to go through Samuel unless Allen threw a bad ball. To say its a sure INT is just flat out incorrect. What you and some others are conveniently doing is taking an early screen shot BEFORE Samuel makes his break, which happens in a fraction of a second after Allen bails on the pocket. You are using that screen shot because it reduces the info to be able to paint a bias instead of the video that clearly shows Allen has a clean shot and and a clean pocket had he not bailed. And NO Samuel is not open because Allen bailed, the safety STAYED with Samuel, he did NOT come off him to let him get open, Samuel was flat out open had Allen just stood in the pocket on the drop back and fired. No offense, you can say its an INT as much as you want, it doesn't make it true and QBs with lesser arms complete this same throw every week in the NFL. -
And the ball landed well behind the LOS and Maye was between the tackles. I know some have said that the penalties in the 2nd half evened things out but I call BS on that. Most of the penalties against the Bills were judgement calls while the 3 big penalty's against the Pats were safety related infractions visible to everyone in the stadium and on TV. * The nasty head shot Allen took in the pocket. * The obvious time the NE WR grabbed the Bills DB's face mask. * The criminal assault on Cook as he was on the ground. BTW, why wasn't that guy ejected?
-
I agree with your buddy on guys getting open at times down field, and was at the game. But more to the point, what @Simon said was accurate. The PATS would not come out of 2 high shell almost all night long. So its not not all of one thing or another... There's some separation issues on the outside AND there's some coverage dictating it being dangerous to go over the top.

I feel that we are going to have to endure quite a few more losses. New England will win the division. It's hard not to think this particular crew has some kind of grudge against the Bills.
