What was Jackson’s injury? It was never mentioned but, he may have been hampered during the offseason and not at 100%

Why Landon Jackson is the next MONSTER in the NFL
Andrew Son replied to MJS's topic in The Stadium Wall
The problem is, year after year we keep investing heavily in the same position group and it continues to be a problem. We need at least two out of three of this rookie DL class to hit IMO. -

Why did Buechele start and play the entire game?
Billzgobowlin replied to DeepPass's topic in The Stadium Wall
Same reason you didn't see Cook, Davis and Ty. They know what they can do and their place is set on the roster. This last game is really only for a handful of fringe players and the experience for younger players. They probably knew everything they needed after the first preseason game. -
Samuel has a terrible contract and not saying this is the case but it certainly feels like he is playing his leverage to some degree to skip camp, preseason and practice. Keeping him sends a bad signal too. He's also hard to trade bc you basically have to find a willing partner to take on 7+ mill this year for a guy that has done very little as a Bill and missed pretty much all of camp and preseason and has been dealing with some type of nagging injury for the past 3 seasons (23, 24, and this one). I absolutely hate the prospects that Samuel makes the team and Shaver's doesnt, but there's agood chance that is the case. I think keeping Samuel is just going to irritate everyone unless 30 catches and 300 yards for a guy that may or may not be 100% at some point is something that makes him invaluable. I think Moore has been available but i havent seen him make any plays that separate him from other fodder in the preseason. In fact if you were just looking at guys without knowing how they got to the Bills i think he'd easily be middle of the pack of guys who will be cut. I know practice matters and we only hear reports but i also think the games are what you are paid for and if dropping balls and losing yds on short passes keeps you on the team Shavers is doing it all wrong. Id be interested to see what Shavers could do and i do believe that he has the talent to makeplays with the starters but that is still an unknown so i get it.

This is shocking. Who could have possibly seen this coming? -
at the Rockpile -which isn’t Rich Stadium but still a home game. Byrd & Edgerson also had Pick 6’s in that game!

Wishbone and 46 (can it still work in modern day NFL)
Billzgobowlin replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall
Any types of schemes can work for a little bit until they are figured out. Best chance of success is being multi-dimensional. Don't let the defense cue up on a specific type of offense. -

Virgil was among the 1st cuts a week or two ago. I think the Bills did him a solid, but maybe Bills practice squad is where Virgil wants, biding his time, trying to make roster
-
I wonder if Jalen Virgil is worth PS at this point? It has to be difficult being in a front office trying to figure out who is worth the spot as a security blanket veteran in your system vs a young gun with something to prove.
-
Reason the Pats gave him away is he is supposed to be a cocky jerk. Not Bills material, and not what Josh needs as a backup

Tom Janik says hold my beer. Had a 100 yard return against eventual SBIII champion Joe Namath in ‘68. Our only win of the season.
-
🤣 yeah- I can’t remember if I commented much on drafting him, but I was not a fan of the pick. I was hoping for Andrew Booth, Kyler Gordon, Dax Hill, Christian Watson or George Pickens.. post draft- like most of my posts, I was in the lets wait and see how he progresses before handing in the verdict

Bass started right where he had left off. Every kick seems like an adventure. I was really beginning to like that other guy we had. Keep him on speed dial, Mr. Beane. It tends to fade to the right when he walks.

I’m sure there’s some Elam threads that we (and Beane) all look pretty bad in

This! Or the returning ones. Wow!

Was just thinking the same thing.
