  1. Past hour
  2. As much as I love the idea Douglas hates the Fish, the other problem is the Dolphins have the second lowest cap space, behind us. Whatever they offered him had to be low. In addition, I’ll agree he slowed down considerably last year. Either that said, he’s probably waiting for a time when a team has a critical DB injury and needs him. Then he is in a better bargaining position as they are desperate with little options. I’m grateful for Rasul two years ago, and what he tried to do last year.
  3. Just showing the priorities of one of the mainstreamest of news outlets. Sorry to have offended.
  4. What stadiums fit this criteria? Only one I can think of off the top of my head is Atlanta, and their cheapest PSLs were like $2500.
  5. To be fair, I've never seen Elam play that bad prior to that game. Same goes for Milano and Hamlin.
  6. It’s not just that it will work, I think it’s a board requirement.
  7. to me, met life was the effective end of the open door stadium. It’s one of the worst stadiums and biggest mistakes. I guess you might have outliers like Levi, but my understanding is that there was some issues with FAA regs in building a higher stadium. Also, now they are doing billions in renovations!
  8. I'm going off other stadiums built in the last decade that aren't LA, LV, or NYC. Most of them were below a grand once you got to the upper decks.
  9. He can play the McKenzie role on this offense....raw speed
  10. I also want the Bills to be playing on natural grass for injury reasons. It's possible to have natural grass if the roof or the field is retractable, but either is expensive. I think the new stadium has the best of both worlds. There should be next to no wind, the field is natural but also heated so it won't be hard as a rock. Also, just inside the 15 year window is Lumen Field which replaced an indoor stadium. In Seattle, fans didn't like going indoors if the weather was nice because being outside in good weather is such a rare opportunity in Seattle. Sure, they're dealing with rain and not freezing cold, but being outside at a game in the fall is a wonderful experience so being comfortable in cold weather games comes with the trade-off of losing that outdoor fall experience.
  11. Hey, how about I link to an entirely unrelated article from an entirely unrelated news organization! That'll work, right?
  12. I think most sensible people that have a concern recognize a certain grift-like tendency with the liberals trying to “save the planet” by taxing people to death, while noting a complete disregard for personal practices that would actually contribute to the planet-saving objectives they preach for everyone else. Follow the money, Tibsy.
  13. Yeah my take is if Tre can be better than Elam in the AFCCG, that’s a win. it begs the question why we hung on to Elam so long for him to ultimately sink our season, but hey.
  14. Tre White is nearly two years removed from his achilles injury and four years removed from his ACL tear. He is right on schedule. Word is that he hasn’t moved this well in several years. Given his work ethic and experience, I cannot count him out and I won’t be surprised in the least if he ends up as CB2.
  15. I think it's unlikely too, but Tre was/is such a technically sound zone corner that I think the dropoff will be less severe than what we just saw with Douglas, who to me played a much more physical style and relied so much on his burst. I don't know if this is right, but didn't LA have Tre play a ton of man where he was basically on an island? McDermott really doesn't do that often. My guess is that he's a low to mid end CB2 starter in a zone system or a high end backup. Much better than having to rely on Dane Jackson, Elam, or Levi Wallace anyway.
  16. I think Rasul would be doing the Bills a favor if he suited up 17 games for the Fins next year. he allowed a 122 passer rating last year when targeted. Poyer with the Dolphins only allowed 111, for comparison sake.
  17. Loved that game!
  18. Agreed but I'm not going to hold my breath that he's anywhere close to his pre injury self. Crazy how two years ago at this time we were wondering if Benford could handle the job opposite Tre White. The ACL and then the Achilles within two years is just brutal.
  19. Yes. Total no-brainer as I'm concerned. Experience starts, youth works its way into more snaps as the season progresses. He does it that way all the time. The objective for McDermott's players is to execute the play as called 100% of the time - that means go in the right direction, go to the right place, react to what the offense is doing in the right way. If White does that 100% of the time and Hairston is at 95%, White will play even if on Hairston's 95% he's a half-step faster. McDermott does it that way he abhors having 5% of plays where a player has left a hole in what is truly a team defense. The result is that the younger players sit until they can execute more or less flawlessly. Bishop sat, Bernard sat. It wasn't so true in the earlier years, because no one knew the defense as well as McDermott wanted, so Edmunds and Milano played a lot, even though they were making mistakes. Now, it's different. The only way Hairston starts in September is if (1) he's a really quick learner or (2) White has nothing left and Hairston has learned at least enough to make him better than Jackson and Lewis.
  20. Virgil, isn’t that the price spread over 20 years? So that’s $50 per year, or $5 per home game. By 2045 that’ll equate to more like $2 per game. How much lower would you expect them to be?
  21. I think you all might be getting too worked up about "slot vs. outside" when Joe Brady's offense has a lot of tight packages and bunch formations where pretty much everybody is packed together anyway. I think Coleman will contribute this season in a meaningful way. I'm higher than most on him (although I didn't love the pick), and we need to remember this is more "Year 1.5" than it is 2. I love how candid Coleman has been about the shortcomings of his game this offseason and I think that with a true growth mindset he could make some serious improvements to his game. He has all the tools. You can't teach tall.
