  1. Past hour
  2. Shirley Manson, ya dig?
  3. I named one of my cats Smokey after Chris Tucker.
  4. Am I mistaken, or is there still over 3 months (100 days) until the season opener? OTAs, off-season training program, training camp. Three months is plenty of time for a Pro-athlete to get where he needs to be to play on Sundays (barring injuries that prevent him from doing so). The Bills have very specific plans set for their guys (nutrition, training, etc.) to get them to the weight/strength they want them at. Maybe Dalton is just behind a bit because of needing to rest after the season (due to injuries), rather than being able to attack the offseason right away in February/March. Rest and rehabilitation probably took the front seat to over-working while still recovering. And I know it's not all, or just, the younger fans that seem to get impatient with young players, but back in the day (outside of maybe RBs) we got used to waiting 2-4 years for most players (even many QBs). Rookies did not play a lot at all. I know it is a different league now, but many guys still take 2, 3, 4 years to develop fully or fully acclimate to the pro-game---especially if they've had injuries that set them back---it's just today's players have to play through they're growth (if they were selected fairly high---first 2-3 rounds), rather than learning from the bench for a couple of seasons. Sure, we'd all love our rookies to come in and be studs right away. But, I'd much rather wait too long on a player than to give up on him too early. People are so quick these days to throw the "bust" label on players...when I'm not sure they even understand what a bust is anymore. For instance, a player like Ed Oliver sometimes gets that label from some. I think we all can agree that we hoped for more based on where he was drafted, but by no means is he a bust because of that. He is an above-average starter, who shows flashes of excellence. That is not a bust no matter where he was selected. You could maybe say he hasn't matched the value of his pick, but a true bust is a guy that implodes in his first 2-3 years (either: mentally, doesn't work hard enough, doesn't care enough, just wanted the money/fame, parties too hard, or just can't up his game to the NFL level, etc.). Those players are usually out of the league quickly (2-4 years), with very little to show for it. Kincaid is similar to Oliver to me at the moment, in that he has yet to reach the value of his draft pick, but imo, he has had too much production already to be considered a bust. And how many fans thought Terrell Bernard or Spencer Brown were bad picks (even going into their 2nd and 3rd years, respectively). Heck, even Beane gave up too early on Wyatt Teller. They used to say that patience was a virtue. But, unfortunately, many folks don't seem to care about virtues these days. I personally look forward to seeing Dalton, Keon, Cole, DeWayne, etc. all improve and grow this year. Hopefully they can all make big jumps (going into years 2 and 3), but even just one or two steps forward from each could affect the team in a very positive way. Call me a Homer, but...
  5. I think Beane’s thought process here was that if he paid Stefon Diggs big money he would simmer down and be a team player. Unfortunately he did not.. I know it looks bad that Beane ate $31M in dead cap, but Stefon Diggs pre-injury was a premium player. Had he played in Buffalo last year (hypothetically speaking), he could of easily had 100+ catches and 1,500+ yards. He was a hell of a player, (we’ll have to wait and see how he does in New England this year..) I’m just glad that Beane was able to get a RD2 pick out of him, which essentially turned into TJ Sanders at #41. We can’t close the book on this trade yet until we see how he pans out.
  6. And yet despite all that (and I don't disagree btw) his play on the field was still a clear regression in 2024 from 2023. I understand why he got thr 2nd contract but @BillsFanForever19 is right. He shoukd have been 5th priority if the 5. He is the most replaceable and plays a non-premium position.
  7. girlie if u want to know my taste in music scroll any music thread in OTW I can see you with a spiked mohawk in my dreams lol and I THINK those are all 3 new names. You rock and are a wordsmith chica. can one person have too many gifts? *mu'ja* good to read you here. PPP gave me hives m
  8. Is this a low-key suspension by the PGA Tour?? Just a little more "smoke" that gives my theory that his illegal driver was more than from "regular use" a little more juice. I remember a few years back when Dustin Johnson "announced" that he was going to take a six month break from the Tour to recharge himself, and the PGA went along with it until it leaked that he was actually suspended for six months for failing two drug tests showing Cocaine use. Whenever Rory does come back, if he is not playing as lights out as he was before this situation, you really have to start to wonder....
  9. Sad news. As much as I love M*A*S*H, Hot Lips was probably my least favorite character. She had some good funny moments, yet she was lauded for being a strong female character. I'm sorry, but yelling and screaming doesn't make you strong, it makes you loud.
  10. If this is authoritarianism, what do you consider the covid lockdowns imposed by the Biden administration to be?
  11. Because he, and all of us, are just one lightning bolt or heart attack away from not being here any more. Not having a solid plan for succession would be stupid. Period.
  12. Three minutes of utter fvvvckin jibber jabber that made ABSOLUTELY no fvvvckin sense.
  13. God still needs to be able see the Cowboys play, apparently.
  14. Today
  15. Hey, Mup! Here’s a few more I’ll add to the master list: 1. Melissa Auf der Maur (bass guitarist, most notably from Hole) 2. Emily Haines (lead vocalist, Metric) 3. Siouxsie Sioux (lead vocalist, Siouxsie and the Banshees) Apologies if any of them have already been mentioned. I only skimmed through this thread. I had a brief “creative phase” in my life when I learned to play the bass guitar and wanted to sing in a rock band. It lasted about a year or two, until I realized I had no musical talent whatsoever. I still enjoy listening to all types of rock music, though!
  16. I won't even charge you for the replacement referral, Roger... You're welcome...
  17. I bet he’s adopted the TB12 routine. It worked for Brady. 🤷‍♂️ The more he dragged his feet to identify a successor, the harder I would be pushing to get rid of him. But maybe that’s just me. It is your JOB to have a plan.
  18. Back in my early 20's, been out with friends, going back home, one friend was the DD, driving. I'm in the front passenger seat. We are getting on the highway, and I ask him to pull over so I could puke. A cop must have been nearby and pulled in behind us while still on the on ramp. I'm puking and cleaning myself up with napkins, and throwing the napkins on the ground. When I heard the cop talking to my friend, I started picking up the puke smelling napkins and putting them in the car. Why? Because I did not want to get a ticket for littering.
  19. I think that’s where you’re mistaken. Jason Botterill wasn’t fired due to his job performance. He was fired because he wasn’t willing to fire almost the entire hockey ops (assistant GMs, scouts, coaches in Buffalo and Rochester, etc.). Kevyn Adams was hired because: - he was willing to fire all those people, run with a bare bones front office staff and field an NHL team well below the salary cap ceiling, and in his first couple/few years even at or below the salary cap floor. “Efficient and economic” like Pegula wanted. - he was willing to give Terry + Kim a much bigger voice in hockey ops. - he was someone Terry trusted. I honestly think that’s about it. Go back and listen to what Terry said during the press conference where they announced Adams would be the GM (without even interviewing a single other person). it’s horrifying. here’s a good summary from the Buffalo news (if you can read it w/o hitting a paywall…) https://buffalonews.com/opinion/columnists/article_83182297-4504-5091-9a15-e4d889a82704.html Maybe things have changed since that press conference. They are spending a bit more than they were back then. But I have little reason to believe that winning is their #1 priority until more evidence starts showing that it is. Hiring Jarmo is a nice first step if he’s actually going to be in Buffalo full time (not just someone Adams can call when he needs him) and actually have a voice.
  20. Agree and without being able to play off Maj. Burns….well, may she RIP.
  21. Attack, attack, attack ! The violence party.
  22. PFF still has him as the 10th best TE. He's going to be good in this league. Brady, him, and Josh need to figure it out or you'll see him excelling elsewhere. 10. Dalton Kincaid, Buffalo Bills Kincaid is another second-year tight end whose production declined from his rookie season, but he has still generated the ninth-most PFF WAR across the past two seasons. His 71.1 PFF receiving grade in 2024 was actually better than his rookie-season mark, but he saw 20 fewer targets and caught 31 fewer passes.
  23. uh oh...let the tears flow
  24. So who was the lucky band member to take her home and do something else that she has not done since her husband passed?
  25. Sally Kellerman was always Hot Lips to me, but she was pretty good for TV. RIP Loretta.
