  1. Past hour
  2. I think the lack of practice has eroded the beginning of the season. I think the first two weeks of the regular season are almost teams shaking off rust and getting into form. Except the games count. Less off-season and camp practices plus one less pre-season game leads to sloppier starts to the season. But by week 3 I think teams with 2 games under their belts are sharp and the impacts of less practice fade. Teams in the 2000's were so beat up by mid-season they basically didn't practice much.
  3. As others have said the day before prep is the worst part. The prep I had involved drinking that God-awful MoviePrep. My approach was to mix with cold water and then just chug-a-lug it as quickly as possible so I limited the foul taste in my mouth. I've heard there are also pills you can take. When my wife did it she headed to the bathroom within minutes of drinking the prep, for me it took awhile - maybe a half hour or hour. In my case once it started I was in the bathroom for quite a long time. I set up my laptop ahead of time and watched a football game to 'pass' the time along with everything else.
  4. I've done it twice. It's due again. It sucks! The first one, had to fast a 1 1/2 days before, minus the clear broth I was allowed. The toilet breaks start slowing and grow to a deafening crescendo the night before the procedure. That's my take.
  5. My brother's kids go to public school in California. They are WELL AWARE (and have been for years) that they must never express a political opinion in a public setting or at school. What's sort of interesting to me is the next logical step in this. It's obvious most Libnuts feel free to spew whatever offensive political beliefs they want on social media. (as an example what I say here in this overtly POLITICAL forum would certainly offend people in a social setting, so I don't say it there) Because in my opinion social media forums and social settings are not the place for political debate. But I see plenty of Libnuts spewing. Last Christmas I even had an old college friend SPEWING political crap in their freaking Christmas newsletter. Funny, but pathetic too. He had been sort of trending this way a bit since the start of Covid, and then all the spew just could not be held back after Trump's second election victory, I guess. Does he think everyone on his newsletter list agrees with him? Does he not care? Does he think a Christmas newsletter is a great place to win people over to your side? Beats me! I have a lot of liberal friends but most of them are pretty good at not spewing in person, just an occasional remark. But it's getting crazy out there. Oh, I forgot to mention "the next logical step." I think Libnuts are going to figure out (if they have not already) that those in their social circle NOT expressing any political opinion are SECRETLY conservative. Just being silent or neutral on political topics probably points in that direction. That is why I will need to buy Rainbow Gear at Target, for my personal safety from the Tolerant Left.
  6. I try to go to the home opener and one relatively convenient or interesting road game every year. Honestly, the experience is so good at home that is the max I’d want to do in person. I’m getting too old for 7 hours tailgates.
  7. Season ticket holder but usually only do 5 or 6 of the regular season games plus any playoff games we have now
  8. They have another new OC, I wonder if they are dealing with some Ken Dorsey type issues. Their offense looks VANILLA
  9. Yet you don’t have it in you to say this directly to those people on an anonymous message board. Weird.
  10. I totally agree. I was just piggy backing to continue whinning about the lack of practice that teams do these days. Guys are barely in the facility at all. It is slowly eroding the Sunday product and TNF is throwing gasoline on the fire.
  11. I'm going! first regular season home game in 20years. We moved away in 1994. Came back once a year or saw an away game for the next 15 years for at least one game. Then we had kids and did the preseason kids game every once in a while. Sitting close to where my seasons were with my wife, daughter and BIL. Away side, uper deck, 30 yard line 12 rows up scoreboard side. My daughter hated football her whole life. Now she loves the Bills and is in four fantasy leagues/ commissioner of 2 of them. She is so excited. SQUISH THE FISH!
  12. We were extras in the stands at the Rockpile during filming. Afterwards there was a media scrum around Mr. Redford on the ball diamond and being a little kid I squeezed thru a sea of legs towards the bright camera lights when Bam! an arm from one of the other baseball actors caught me just before I would have crashed right into the star. RR looked down at me and said something that made everyone laugh- I have no idea what it was but it doesn't matter, just having this little story in my pocket involving such a legendary icon has always made me happy. RIP
  13. They’re the kind of bad team that has a chance but I def wouldn’t bet on it lol. Their front 7 should be solid this year.
  14. Gosh, then he would probably have a field day with your Stockholm witch conspiracy theory.
  15. Yep. Johnson isn't going to want to have his career tied to Caleb.
  16. Watch the All 22. Knox was a monster blocker on Sunday. Many big Bills plays were in part because of Knox’s blocks. Knox ain’t going anywhere, despite some fans wishes. The front office and coaches know how useful Knox is. Knox is great friends with Josh. Knox will restructure and retire a Bill.
  17. Dads have a different approach. The look doesn't change a bit, they just smack you on the back of the head.
  18. I've maintained that if the NFL is going to do Thursday games they should find a way to do them only when the teams have a bye the week before. Add a second bye week to the schedule (which I think will help with player injuries). The opening week Thursday Game is fine as is because teams get the rest/prep not having the last pre-season game. I would then have the team that plays in Brazil on Friday play one of the teams that played on Thursday. It would be 6 and 7 days between games for both teams with the team that played in Brazil being the home team for the following Thursday game. Afterwards I wouldn't have TNF in weeks 3 and 4. Then you start bye weeks in week 4 and any team that plays a TNF game will have had a bye week before. Given that each team has two bye weeks this would actually lead to higher quality Thursday games while still having an actual full second bye week in the season. Byes go from Week 4 to Week 16. No byes weeks 1-3 and weeks 17-19. No Thursday games weeks 3/4/18/19. Of course the NFL would never do this largely because that would mean they would have to lose 4 Thursday games and actually care about the quality of the product....
  19. Then it follows you’re opposed to firing people for not self-flagellating over Charlie Kirk? Oh wait, you’re a libertarian.
  20. 4 games a year. I'm a season ticket holder, but it's been nice as of late because there are lots of people willing to take my tickets. 2.5 hrs drive, so the night games this year have made it a bit tougher. But I also attend at least one road game a year. Atlanta and Miami this year!
  21. So why didn't you vote for Kamala to fix all that?
  22. If his nose is not broken, what are you going to put on injury report? Bloody Nose last Sunday- probable
  23. I know that, but that’s not the point. There are good players on bad teams. Al Davis fell in love with guys who won Super Bowls and overpaid, the opposite. The win/loss record does not determine if a guy can play in the NFL.
  24. Good to see we finally agree on something.
  25. In the Kelly years the bar was the Superbowl every year after the first one. That was the also the bar for the Patriots for way longer than a decade. It's been like that for the Chiefs for 5-6 years now. But for our traumatized fanbase that is scarred from the drought? Don't worry Josh has 20 more years left.
