Mini-Camp: A James Cook Barometer
Ethan in Cleveland replied to BigAl2526's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is the lamest of arguments. Again did the Bills honor Tre White's contract??? When the deals are fully guaranteed then you can say honor your contract. Until then it is all a negotiation. -
Imo, you just described Pegula's business plan for the Sabres too.
-
Couldn't disagree more. Cook isn't worth $15 million a season, so you don't pay him that. Period. He is a running back who doesn't even play 70% of snaps. Move on and find his replacement. The offense won't skip a beat. How many GMs have this mentality of yours? Basically none. They have to consider their market value and weigh it against the opportunity cost. That's how it works.
-
He can squarely cement himself a nice backup roll, and if/when injuries strike have an opportunity to put meaningful snaps on tape. I like the player.
-
Every single one of those teams isn't 0-4 with one of their worst defensive performances of the year against them. Exactly my point. Of that list of defensive coordinators, we are taking McD last to coach against Reid in the postseason, right?
-
Every team in the league is bs the chiefs. The eagles were. The bengals were. The bucs were. They beat them
-
New Orbit Culture baby!!!!
-
I didn't. I was implying we are at a coaching disadvantage every January when we play the Chiefs which is why our defense is regularly awful in those games.

Joe Brady says Dalton "lived here this offseason"
JP51 replied to sunshynman's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well I guess the person I saw didnt look anything near 240... and quite honestly looked like a kid to me... but again, thats just cause I am old ... they all look like kids to me... bottom line if he wasnt signing autographs and taking pictures and people werent saying hey Dalton... I would have passed him by without any notice... he looked like a tall gangly kid. That was just my immediate observation and I thought I would share for fun... -

I thought that if Cook came to mini-camp it meant he would play out his contract and then depart in free agency. Now that he has reported, I still think it is a long shot that any other outcome happens. There is a slim chance, I would guess that the Bills can work out some kind of deal. The Buffalo Mews is suggesting a two-year bridge deal. I'm happy with whatever might keep him a Bill. We'll see.

They want to supersede the federal authority Trump has to send ICE in and detain criminals. States rights don’t allow rogue governors or mayors to harbor criminal activity. Everything we’re seeing right now is due to that catalyst. -
Former Panther Alert: Bills sign Shaq Thompson LB!

Joey Bosa is going to need someone his age to talk to while he is standing on the sideline in his jeans all year. So this is perfect! -

Former Panther Alert: Bills sign Shaq Thompson LB!

He tore it on 9/30/24. It will be over 11 months come Week 1. Modern medical Achilles rehabilitation in the NFL has made leaps and bounds from the old days. It used to be a Full Year or more. In recent years, we've seen guys return much quicker than that. I think it's very likely he's ready to roll Week 1. As for the signing itself, I love it. I've been saying all offseason that I was surprised we did nothing for the LB room this offseason. Especially at Middle Linebacker. It was crazy to me that they didn't even bring in so much as some competition underneath Bernard - where we only had Joe Andreeseen and Baylon Spector. Thompson missed the past two years with injuries. Before that though, he was a very good starter. A broken leg shouldn't hamper someone long term. An Achilles can, but not as much as a Torn ACL. If he can stay healthy, I think he has the potential to be a great Backup. I'd def feel more comfortable with Shaq than Buffalo Joe and especially Spector. -
Ace Ventura (The first. The second was so bad) The Fighter Clerks 2 Full Metal Jacket Batman/Batman Returns (Nothing will hold a candle to Tim Burton/Keaton) Honorable mentions: Juice, Pulp Fiction, Beer League) And all old school Eddie Murphy movies.

LB's seem to age similar to RBs. I would still say old is accurate. -

Was a pretty good athlete coming out of college. Smallish and athletic like McDermott seems to like them. Biggest issue is he carries the same injury concern as Milano. Can he stay healthy? He's played six games total in the last two seasons and he's coming off an Achilles issue suffered last October. It's hard to imagine he's completely recovered this soon. My guess is the Bills will be hoping he could be available by mid-season if necessary and not suffering from the long-term effects of a bad Achilles too much by then. -

Yeah but when you're response is effectively "***** it", especially with regard for federal personnel and property, you can reasonably expect higher authority to weigh in.
