The provider performing the colonoscopy should provide a list with the location, time to arrive and prep. Prep is one of two regimens from what I’ve seen. Provider will specify quantity and time to start day prior. Usually early evening. 1. Golytley. May sound like a nice prep by its name….but it’s not! Very misleading! Usually a gallon of liquid that is drunk 8oz at time every ten minutes (or so) until complete. 2. MiraLAX mixed in Gatorade and a few Dulcolax tabs. This is the one I recently used. Tough at first, but by 2-3 am it was successful and had pretty much stopped doing its job. Both preps are to be used until you run clear. The procedure itself is very quick. You are knocked out with an either fentanyl and versed (or another), or Propofol. Either works well. Propofol to me is a bit better as it wears off much quicker and the recovery period is easier. Anyway, the procedure is very easy and you should be in and out in a few hours….no pun intended! I highly recommend that people get their colonoscopies as soon as it is recommended. I believe the age has dropped to 45 recently. Your provider may recommend earlier if you have a history of colon cancer in your family. If you have a change in stool patterns, ribbon like stool, nausea/vomiting, blood in your stool, abdominal pain/cramping, weight loss/fatigue contact your provider as they may all be signs of colon cancer. Colon cancer may not present with any of the symptoms above unit it is a problem. So getting screened regularly is a must. I work very closely with patients who have colon cancer. A bunch found out by regular screening without any symptoms. Some had symptoms, and didn’t see a provider. Some found out by “accident” as they were being screened for other issues and eventually found to have colon cancer. Surgery may be all that is needed if found in time. Surgery with a strong course of chemo, or chemo and then surgery is another path. The chemo regimen for a lot of the patients is very tough for them. In the clinic every two weeks for infusion, then go home with a small pump infusing a med over a few days and then back to be disconnected. Loss of hair, loss of appetite, nausea,vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue, weight loss are all side effects of this chemo regimen, amongst other issues. I’ve seen patients on their first day of chemo and the steady decline many of them experience throughout their course of treatment. Some have successful outcomes, many do not. Some seem successful, but are back in a few months to a year. A quick google shows there is a 64% survival rate over 5 years. A lot of it depends on when it was caught and how fast the intervention is. Colon cancer is not restricted to “old” people. I’ve seen very young people with it - 30’s and a few in their 20’s. Majority is 40’s and up. Again, I highly recommend you get screened as soon as it is warranted or need based on symptoms. A night spent on the toilet is far better than the alternative.

My thoughts are he's no stranger to this position. He started 12 games for us last season. And many felt last year that we were better off with Williams starting than Milano. I don't know that there's really much difference between them as far as quality of play from the OLB position at this point. There's things I feel that Milano is better at than Williams and things I trust Williams with over Milano, at this point. You see a flash play here or there like the one you mentioned. But the consistency is gone. We haven't seen anything close to the Matt Milano we had in 2022 since. Wear and tear, age, and constantly being behind the 8 ball because he's coming off of an injury - just to get injured again, has all but assured that. And at this point, I don't think we really will. I think you IR him, bring up Jenkins from the Practice Squad, and hope for the best with Williams and Jenkins. If it's a minor Pec injury, bring back Milano after the bye and once again let him ease his way back into the lineup. If it's a Tear, that's probably pretty much the end of the line for him in Buffalo. Bc those take months. Maybe he comes back at the end of the year, but I wouldn't expect much from him if he was able to. And with his unreliability and age, I wouldn't expect us to bring him back next season. As for Nickel, Jordan Hancock was a full participant. Neither Taron or Lewis was a DNP. Just Limited. I'd bet one or both will be able to go and if one of them misses the game, Hancock will be active for his first game. I haven't heard that the expectation is that Taron will miss any time though.

I understand those who object to the binary framing of the Parsons trade in terms of winning or losing the trade. I often object on these very pages to such oversimplified black and white, overly-reductionistic framing of issues, in sports or elsewhere. But look, it's hard to dispute. The Packers didn't make this trade to just improve. The did it to win the Super Bowl. You don't take on a contractual obligation like they did and give up 2 first round draft picks and one of your best players simply to improve. They're gambling that Parsons is the final piece who'll put them over the top. They're taking a calculated risk that they hope pays off... knowing that there's a downside if it doesn't. If they don't win a Super Bowl this year, what are the chances that they'll be able to improve minus 2 1st rounders and saddled with a huge contract on top of Jordan Love's contract? What happens when players like Elgton Jenkins, Rashan Gary, and Xavier McKinney start coming due? I don't buy that the Packers traded for Parsons simply to improve the team. And I don't think that they think that they'll somehow be able to add more talent to get them over the top if Parsons doesn't get them there. I admire the Packers for pulling the trigger but if they don't win a Super Bowl with Parsons, the huge gamble didn't work. There's no in-between here.

So far he's been as advertised. A replacement and an upgrade from Quintin Morris as the 3rd Blocking Tight End. He's caught a single pass in each game. I don't think his role really changes going forward. He will continue to be used often as a Blocker and a ball may be thrown his way every once in a while. More than Morris. But he's not going to make Knox expendable. They're completely different players. Hawes isn't going to be running nearly as many routes. And he shouldn't. You want to take advantage of his Elite blocking skills. When the time comes to replace Knox, they'll bring in another Tight End that's more of a route runner, separator, and pass catcher.

You're absolutely right about the impact of missing players on every level. I thought Williams was OK. I'm not sure he's grown into a complete player. The Bills covered his shortcomings before by playing a sort of heavy dime with Poyer.

Who do you think a backup QB should be? Most backup QBs are guys who couldn't make it in the league as starters. You hope your backup can win half the games. Mac didn't manage that as a starter in NWE overall, but he did better than that his rookie year under McDaniel, and I'm not sure what young QB would have done well with Joe Judge and Matt Patricia as OCs

Honestly - Not a chance I do it for 2 firsts and a $47M contract. Bosa has had a better first 2 games for 1/4 the cost and no draft pick loss. I wanted to look into Parsons, but $47M is a franchise QB contract. We can’t pay him and Allen and expect the roster around them to stay strong. It’s an insane amount of money for a guy who isn’t even the best at his own position. Myles Garrett is better and makes $7M less despite getting his contract in the same season. And Myles isn’t a liability in half the snaps either. If GB doesn’t win the SB this season they are going to regret this trade in a couple years. If they do win it, then worth the risk, but I don’t think Micah makes them all that much better personally and I don’t see think they are even the best team in the NFC. 2023 Cowboys had the number 1 offense and number 5 defense in the NFL. Dallas led league in passing. Cowboys had not only Micah but the league leader in interceptions too. All teams had to do was run on them to neutralize them and they lost embarrassingly to the Packers in the postseason. I just don’t think Micah will ever make a $47m impact to the wins and loss column like a QB does.

I agree....at this point just shut him down till the end of the season. Let him play week 17 as a tune up game. And just pray that we can get 3 playoff games out of him before he has his 10th pec injury. We're basically paying 6.3M for 3-4 playoff games. "Low Margin for Error"? The Bills set an NFL record by not losing by more than 7 points in 40+ straight games, then lost to Baltimore early last year and haven't lost by more than 7 again since. In a league where even the best teams usually get blown out a few times a year, to have 1 loss by more than 7 points going back almost 4 years(early November 2021) at this point is absurd. Allen has scored 30+ points in 11 of the last 12 games and over 40 in 4 of those games. They averaged over 30 points a game last year. They set franchise records for TDs and points. Exactly how is his margin for error low? I'd say his margin for error is among the highest in the NFL. It's amazing that no matter how productive this team is offensively you still have people that act like they are near the bottom in the NFL. Do you even watch other games and how bad those teams are offensively? I'm going to guess no, because the ridiculousness of what you just posted you would not be able to post if you did and actually be serious. It's very hard to watch at least 25 other teams play football on offense. Like, it makes me want to vomit. We are so spoiled, that we have gotten to a point where if we don't score 40 points a game, drop 500+ yards and Allen puts up Madden numbers that "we sucked" on offense. I mean we put up over 400 yards in about 3 quarters against the Jets, put up 30 points and the offense didn't look great...but who cares? The end result was the same. They scored at will until they pulled Allen out with 12 minutes left in the 4th. You think that is somehow "bad"? Other teams find that terrifying. When your "bad" game is 400 yards and 30 points, most teams would take that in a heartbeat. They have to try and figure out how to get to 20 points many times and still don't make it a lot of the times...we get 30 points as a given pretty much, that's the floor. We sit here and complain. Yeah, you are right...among the best offenses in the NFL and a juggernaut every week that puts up points on everyone and wins by double digits more than any other team in the NFL over the last 5 years.
