THE ROCKPILE REVIEW – “How Does It Feel to Have a Quarterback?”
billsfan89 replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall
I remembered thinking don't trade up you need to build a complete team around any QB you draft and if you have to take Lamar at pick 12 just take him and use all those other picks to grab some O-line and WR's for him. But then when they traded up I thought I was a "wrong Josh" guy. But then I looked at what I wrote and I seemed to like the pick and not mention anything about Rosen. I think I was worried about the accuracy issues but understood that the accuracy issues with Josh may have been overblown in college. It wouldn't have been terrible to have Lamar and merely get the second best QB in the draft and a top 2-4 QB in the league but I'm super glad we got Josh Allen. I guess my memory was faulty and I wasn't as off on Allen as I thought... -
Bosa must love playing his home games in front of fans who are rooting for him and his teammates. Probably never knew that feeling playing home games for the Chargers.

I don't think an AFCCG warrants a musical act. This trend is the NFLs gig to make these events - worked well with the Superbowl. The NFL would love to extend that to the next lower level and make parties out of the CGs. Remember when they almost had the big party in ATL for Bills v KC? But if the Bills did win the Championship, it is event worthy. It would be something that the powers in Buffalo should not be scrambling to put together in a week. It should have months of planning and the OPs band should certainly be in the mix. For many a Superbowl can cost too much, whereas a trip to Buffalo would be much cheaper. It would be nice for out of towners to know the dates and possible events. Last year the jinxer crowd wouldn't let it be discussed.

Game week thread - Dolphins at Bills TNF
Ethan in Cleveland replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
For all the people that say the refs screw the Bills, well the refs gifted us that win. It was clear pass interference in the end-zone on the last play. Refs just wanted the game to be over and they didnt throw a flag and walked off the field. -
There's more than enough card-carrying racists and warmongers in the world if someone really wants to throw their life away in order to take someone out. The radical left believes "if you aren't with us, you're against us and if you're against us you are an evil nazi"- all so that they can justify any action they take against anyone who doesn't agree with them. It's all by design.

Is Babbich on the hot seat now?
GerstAusGosheim replied to Mister Defense's topic in The Stadium Wall
Then the D will just get worse. When he called plays in 2023, Sean’s D folded in key moments against the Eagles, Bucs, Broncos, Pats, Giants, Chiefs. And 2 of those losses were partially the result of a mistimed zero blitz. Oh, and yes he was calling the D for :13 so there's that. Meanwhile, Leslie's D was ranked #1 in 2021 and #2 in 2022. Imagine that paired with Josh and Joe Brady. -
Week 3, Fish v. Bills, PREDICT THE SCORE!

Bills 37-Sonar Buoys 18. Kicking FGs against the Bills is always a big mistake. -
That's a good plan. I like it, a lot. We have good depth players--use them.

The issue with Goff has always been if the play breaks down he's toast - lacks the talent to improvise or overcome a bad play call or missed blocking assignment. That's not really a fair criticism - the same "criticism" can be lodged against many QBs, maybe less so in today's game where mobile passers are more prevalent. Tua is a really good comparison. Drew Brees - if he didn't have a clean inner pocket he struggled. Kirk Cousins isn't improvising. Lots of QBs need protection and good playcalling in order to perform at a high level. Josh is not one of those QBs.

did you glance at that and really think they were calling on the gays to turn into cat burglars? i think the poster is absurd too, but this just isn't something that most students would even notice, nor is it any sign the colleges are out to warp our children. i am totally on board with this tv show. i have 3 legit episodes in my head already.

Jared Goff has proven without good coaching and a solid cast of playmakers he cannot do it on his own which I think is why he always has an asterisk with how good he truly is or isn't given the truly best QBs can make it work in any circumstance. I will give him credit he has improved substantially from LA which I get why McVay traded him and with good coaching/playmakers he is a legit top QB. But like you said the moment he has pressure he is toast and that has forever been his Achilles heal. Also while I am admittedly not a Goff fan I do agree the narratives spun at the trade were also a bit overboard that he was trash etc.. He has proven given him a line with decent weapons and he can do a lot of things. The narrative on QBs these days is nuts and the patience is so thin. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Tua in a new spot with a decent line and coach got it going similar to 22/23, his issue and forever his issue is health.

This game against Miami reminds me of a game a couple of years ago in 2023 against the Giants on SNF. The game was in OP. Everybody thought the Bills were going to destroy the Giants. The Giants were a bad team and were decimated by injuries. The Giants ended up leading 6-0 at the half. They had a 9-7 lead in the 4th quarter before Allen rallied the Bills for a 14-9 win. This was a game that shouldn't have been close. I think the Bills win big Thursday night but the game against the Giants showed everyone to never take your opponent lightly.

Josh will be wearing a visor this week

Josh literally looks like a high schooler in some of these vids and it's the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. The MVP of the league looks at this with a kids excitement in his 8th season. -

31 - 17 Bills -
homer take (but i mean it): so, we run the EP offense, and we now have the multi headed OL who can move, zone, and man block. we have the goat of all time at qb, we have a really good running back room (i legit think it's top 5 to 8 in the nfl). we kinda have some wr, sort of (maybe middle of the pack, if keon improves and palmer over performs?). we now have the multiple multi faceted TE room who all posses some kind of blocking and pass catching threat. this is the final key in the EP puzzle that the dark ones used to unlock the dynasty chest of evil. on the other side of the ball, we run the mcdefense happy meal, but if you look at when he has had dominant performances he always had a multi headed pass rush, often lead by a monster (hardy the kracken, who was such a tough guy bad azz he become a somewhat viable pro mma fighter with hobbiest training after football kicked him out of being a menace was his guy in NC). on special teams we have the comedic stylings of bill burr and an older david spade.

Not at all to be picky here... but I would agree with you according to your definition... mine is simply those games where you clearly should win and don't as you get better there are more of those games, I am attaching absolutely no statistical significance to the word "Trap" in any way shape or form nor saying it is more likely that we would lose or not... I am simply saying this is a game you should win dont tlet your focus down because you are playing a reeling team... they are a division rival and beating you could switch the trend on their season... so bring your A game... thats it...
