  1. Past hour
  2. Maybe, but I cannot see a team being that delusional. Arod from 5 years ago might make them a contender. I think it's more likely they're finally realizing they gotta bottom out. We'll see. Maybe they got DK to have a good wr to be ready for a good rookie qb next year? That sounds odd too. Weird situation. Qb hell.
  3. Hmmmmm…….. Well… I don’t hate it.
  4. He dropped so many balls with two hands.. with one hand on the cane.. I don't think it's a good idea to sign him.
  5. Does Rob Johnson mean nothing to you?
  6. I think the real point is that while it doesn’t mean nothing, it also doesn’t mean everything. Bass missed a tying FG, and the KC defense made a great call on 4th down while Kincaid dropped the ball. The Bills defense in the playoffs has been pretty bad. If they are just a little bit better, we probably win those games.
  7. Yeah, and if they do get a couple more stops that means more drives and scoring opportunities for the offense. And like we agree, totally reasonable to not expect another season of the fewest negative plays in history. But lets say Josh gets sacked 15 more times this year, that is just 15 plays over a course of the season...not even one a game. So it doesn't mean they were all drive ending sacks, if any. Sack on first down or 2nd down and we can still pick up the first and keep the drive alive and go on to score. So even with a reasonably expected regression to some degree in the fewest negative plays category, it doesn't necessarily mean it will significantly impact our PPG, if even at all. Now add in the aspect the defense hopefully getting off the field a couple more times a game and putting the ball back in Josh's hands and potentially with better field position, we very well could see our scoring go up even above our historic scoring season last year. Im really excited to see this team on the field. All of this is speculation until the games are played, and we have a lot of young players who will be expected to contribute early or take a step this year, so nothing is assured. But today, before we see it on the field, this feels like the most talented roster that maybe Josh has had to date top to bottom. Still won't be an easy path though, Ravens got some people in the draft I would have preferred to see go elsewhere. KC is still gonna be tough too, especially with Rice back.
  8. Somebody in Reddit said he was using a cane
  9. In our system you want a mobile QB and to limit turnovers. So it’s probably Tyrod, even if he ain’t the best one.
  10. We had the ball with under 2 minutes back to back years and a chance to take the lead and did nothing. You can pretend that means nothing if you want. You can pretend that these defensive additions will prevent us from that scenario again. You can pretend this group of skilled guys are the type to elevate us in the final moments vs the best in the game. Any degree of logic points to none of that being true. Still doesn’t mean we didn’t need defensive help more.
  11. Recalling when I worked at a local affiliate and we wanted some aerial video for news opens … we had to rent a helicopter and a $10,000 gyroscopic lens so the video wouldn’t be shaking, just to get one good shot low over the lake approaching the skyline. Wish we had drones then
  12. Brian Brohm was never given a fair chance. That said, I may just go with Alex Van Pelt. Reason being, the back ups main job is to help the starter prepare. And Van Pelt, while never a good QB, has spent years in the NFL as a coach and multiple years as an OC. So if I'm choosing someone to be in the QB room with the current iron horse of NFL QBs I'd take the guy most qualified to help a QB game plan. Break down film. That sort of thing.
  13. Great watch, but I wonder how heavily cut up this film is. All the “we gotta get him” and “idk how long can we wait” makes me wonder if they’re ever talking about a different player or scenario and it’s cut out to be made as if everything fell exactly as they wanted or hoped for. Every time one of these comes out it’s “I can’t believe this guy was this there, perfect fit, great dude, etc) Just once it’s be nice to know itw real and hear “ah shucks really wanted X here but I guess we’re good with Y or Z as next best”
  14. Yet I just did now didn't I. But hey, keep trying to take the convo to the muck just because we don't agree. Hope that serves you well bud ✌️
  15. He’d be the #2 run defending edge on the roster and could at least add a sniff of a pass rush … I would say no, but those who laugh at the player he is/has been are misguided
  16. Most definitely... Buffalo was swindled by Halas:
  17. ....are Bills fans considered the marginalized?
  18. Pry not but if it can even come close to last year we're already in a better position given how heavily we invested in defense this off season. I know it's said every off-season but getting the #1 seed is vital for obvious reasons. Especially with on paper the 5th easiest schedule based off over/under betting odds. Our division has never been weaker. Almost all the tough games this year (Chiefs, Eagles, Bengals, Ravens, Bucs) will be played at home. Houston's pry are toughest road game but we'd pry be favored right now. Barring an injury to Allen there's no excuses to not get the #1 seed imo.. It's the one situational variable that we haven't had the last five years in the playoffs.
  19. AND a 30 TD passer in a season. That's the amazing stat... . EVEN in a +16 game season, Bears never produced a QB who threw for 30 TDs in a season. "Dragged thru the garden!"
  20. Bledsoe, Losman, Edwards, Fitzpatrick, Manuel and Taylor were never really given a fair shot. We had historically bad pass blocking during the drought. Just ask the patriots front 7. I feel like Bledsoe would be the best backup with his cannon arm behind our strong O-line
  21. Today
  22. It would never be Flutie with his team dividing locker room presence and tactics. Taylor has the perfect mentality for it and won’t lose the game with turnovers but won’t win you games on his own. Fitz could win you 2 out of 4, or 4 out of 9, with ups and downs. Guess I’d go with Taylor
  23. Options not listed by the OP (to round out the impressive list): J. P. Losman, Trent Edwards, Brian Brohm, EJ Manuel, Thad Lewis, Jeff Tuel, Kyle Orton, Matt Cassell, Nathan Peterman, Derek Anderson, Matt Barkley (not that anyone would chose any of those guys). Oh, and Billy Jo Hobert. He never officially had a start, but played in two games (and was obviously a fan favorite. 🙃) I think you could make a case for Bledsoe (year 1 in Buffalo) and for Flutie too. But I think I'm either going with Fitz or Tyrod. Bledsoe's age and lack of mobility and Flutie's height would worry me in today's NFL. Fitz is the classic backup, smart, and with our running game and short passing game, he wouldn't be asked to go out and win games in the 4th quarter (which is when he would throw most of his INTs during his stint in Buffalo), and Tyrod isn't going to win the game for you, but he also isn't going to lose it for you. So, again, with the strength of our team, Tyrod could be a good game manager and use his legs when in trouble. I almost just convinced myself into picking Tyrod. But, ultimately, I think I'd take Fitz as Josh's backup. But, if the question were just best Bills QB ('97-'17) then I think I'd vote Bledsoe in year 1 with the Bills. Flutie #2. Fitz #3. Tyrod #4. The rest really aren't worth mentioning.
  24. If we aren’t going to do it on our own, please use it as an excuse to do a full 1990s red helmet throwback. It’s a rivalry thing with the dolphins Im assuming…let’s use it as excuse to get them back
  25. That’s kind of what I think Alpha. They’ll get less turnovers but more stops. I wonder what that does to average drive start? I have no idea but the improved defense will definitely help.
  26. He barely plays 50% of the snaps. The Bills are better with him. But 10-12m is his max. Plenty of guys would love the O he plays with. He could excel, win a SB, and long term make more $$ in Buffalo.
  27. Come on, he is not mocking the new pope or religion in any way, none. Just having a little fun with the fact that as the first American Pope ever, Prevost is from Chicago, home to an NFL team that has been one of the most hapless for decades on end. So it is a team in need of divine intervention, and may be in luck now as the Pope is from Chicago. And it is funny; seldom have I laughed when just reading the topic of a new thread. One of the things that people loved about Pope Francis, may he rest in peace, was his sense of humor. It made him human, approachable. I bet he too would have laughed at this thread if he had read it.
