  1. Past hour
  2. I think the disconnect here is your opinion is about your "feels" about whether they should have extended him. That's irrelevant at this point. I was OK with extending him too and loved the timing because I knew he had already prepared his body for a contract run. But he was a big disappointment last year. He got pushed around and was one of the worst starting DT's against the run in the entire NFL in 2024. Hence the criticism. This year he looked like he had responded to that bad first year of his extension........but ultimately he's probably only going to play around 8% of the Bills defensive snaps this season. So, thus far his extension consists of a bad year and a lost year. Thus far it has objectively NOT been a good contract.
  3. Was it McDermott or Dennision? Was it McDermott or Daboll? Was it McDermott or Dorsey? Was it McDermott or Brady? Was it McDermott or _________ (next OC to be under fire by the end of 2027) Of the above, it was McDermott all the times except "Dabs" which is why Daboll was going to be gone with or without a HC gig.
  4. how many HCs are/have been prohibited from choosing their coordinators. I don’t see how that would work. McD is a problem. Keeping him doesn’t solve that problem.
  5. His post game interview after Bucs game. He was deflecting accountability a bit, and hung up semantics of late vs absent. I dont have a problem with that inside the building, but shouldve just took his medicine since the staff already knows whats going on. Aside from half deflecting accountability, his attitude was seeping out and you could see he barely outlasted the short lit fuse. Looks like a kid forced to apologize, and after arguing/threatened with more punishment, they break down and yell - "Fine!!! Im sorry!!!" while their eyes are rolling. Wouldve liked to see him by smarter, take full accountability, no half apologies, no pouting. Despite all that, if he comes in and grinds and earns his way back into a part time role, even if its not until next season, then he'll have my respect.
  6. I think I saw or pretty sure I saw him line up inside for a couple of snaps in the 2nd half. I wouldn't mind giving him a few more looks there and actually help out the pass rush
  7. If we had pulled out the game in the end, I would have been very pleased.
  8. One day I'll grow up and not let the poor play of the Bills affect my life. But until then ... 😓
  9. the much maligned, devastated by injuries, and criticized Defense held the Texans to 2-12 3rd down conversions. The Passing Offense was wonky, just like 2024 playoffs, just like 2023 playoffs, etc. Hey Beane-its the offense stupid!
  10. Considering diggs did run himself out of Minnesota and by all accounts Buffalo history says he's going to do the same in New England sooner than later I think Mac hollins is a much better locker room guy than diggs... Diggs is a passionate player but he's also shown he could sew division Football is a violent game ... Keon Coleman does have talent... He's not a choir boy When you bring in players who actually don't care... Like loose wires.. you don't always get a crazy football player who lays it all out on the line Sometimes you get a loose wire like keon who is just cashing a paycheck... Football is not an exact science These guys go through processes pre draft where people even gauge how much they want it... Everybody has talent in the NFL.. a six round pick who works harder will have a longer career than a first round pick with no work ethic... Sure we all want dogs.. most of those dogs go early... Like Derek stingley or will Anderson jr Will Anderson Jr was the number three overall pick.. derek stingley Jr was taken third overall.. Two top three overall picks..the bills haven't picked that high in literally well over a decade I have no doubt if we picked 5th we would have a blue chip... Their top defensive players were number three overall draft picks something the bills haven't had since even before McDermott
  11. If i was the next GM of the Bills I'd quit. I've been a fan since the the late 70's but that doesn't make me qualified to be their GM.
  12. Well the Browns staff may get fired. The others may want to hitch their wagon to JA17. They may also want to be head coaches again. Only McDaniels is the timing kinda guy. Penderson won a SB with Nick Foles are read option pass routes which I think both Allen and Cook would do well with, and Daboll was already here.
  13. Even last night - I got about a minute of feeling like I had in previous seasons, when Cook broke that run. Then we missed the XP, and it was like 'that's gonna come back to haunt us.' Every game is like a trip to the dentist now.
  14. Oh, the crowd that voted for the clown that said Mexico would pay for the wall is claiming someone is saying something stupid?
  15. Do we take a flyer on Brandin Cooks he’d be a potential depth addition we still need help at wide receiver.
  16. Good - I think playing at 1300 is much better for the Bills plus it doesn't interfere with an early dinner
  17. I wouldn’t go as far as untouchable, but I -and likely others, am suffering from ‘Seanitis’, a contempt-breeding familiarity condition. I’m sure everybody realizes neither would be unemployed long. 7 of 8 years in the playoffs and 5 straight Division titles carries a lot of weight in the League. Both would be snapped up quickly if they desired to stay in the League, including some teams who’d fire their current HC/GM just to interview them. Personally, I don’t blame either one for our current predicament. With very rare exceptions, they acquire talented players with high character which is unusual these days. We’re literally crippled by injuries and more players will likely follow in the coming weeks. There’s only so much ca$h to go around. But the infusion of good young talent -injury notwithstanding- are fine additions to the growth of the team. Theyve spoiled us is all.
  18. That’s a great summary of who Rousseau is. He is strong against the run. He just can’t get to the QB very much because he isn’t twitchy or a physical freak. The problem is that Epenesa or Bosa are pretty much the same guy as Rousseau at this points in their careers. But not as good against the run. Salomon is good on special teams. And I don’t know if Landon Jackson is good at anything on a football field. (We won’t know until next year) Our DE situation is terrible for rushing the passer. We so needed Hoecht. That and Kincaid’s injury are the losses that really hurt.
  19. The Groot extension made sense for the right price given proper expectations. He was never going to be a guy that consistently wins off the edge and gets to the QB. He was always someone that plays the run and gets you about 6-8 sacks a year. He wasn't a hard player to project. When he got to the QB in college it was mainly from playing inside but unfortunately that was never going to be where he would play in the NFL. Me thinks we're going to hate his contract in 2 years when he's making $23mil. Another overpay from Beane.
  20. I think they have been far too precious about re-signing "our guys". The only home run they hit was Cook. And that one felt like pulling teeth. Also promoting coordinators from within hasn't exactly been a slam dunk either.
  21. The posting your (NG's) age reminded me that you (NG) once said that you graduated with my sister. (CCHS class of '77). I'm class of '75. Just had my 50th reunion this summer.
  22. Greg Rousseau's 2025 PFF grades vary by week, but recent performances show an 83.2 overall grade, a 79.3 pass-rush grade, and a strong 87.9 run-defense grade. He is ranked as the highest-graded edge defender against the run so far this season
  23. 2020 was our best offense when you consider PPG. Since then there has been a very clear shift to a running offense. It's real cool that it works in the regular season, but it's been sputtering in the postseason. Even the Ravens game last playoffs was a fluke thanks to the great field position.
  24. I could kinda sorta force myself to believe this but guys are getting hurt every frickin game. It just doesn't stop
  25. Part of me wishes they don't make the playoffs in the hope that this organization go in a different direction. I'm just not sure Pegula would fire McDermott and Beane, no matter what. Also, I'm not too confident that Pegula would make the right hires if he does fire these two. This organization has been wasting Josh Allen, and it's just pathetic that he has been given this group of receivers. All we have to do is look at the Sabres and know that we cannot trust Pegula. I would not blame Josh if he asked for a trade!!! He won't get a ring with this bunch!!
