Hairston and White got 100% snaps. Cam Lewis played some S for Poyer while Taron Johnson got in on nickel for 79% of the snaps - they stayed on nickel almost whole game. And this looks to be the playoff kind of personnel on D where big guns like Rousseau and Bosa are going to take 75% of the snaps. It does not look too good for DT Sanders, only 27% snaps even with Philips went out (and we hope Oliver will take over in the playoffs), and worse news for Solomon who, as a second year player, got 0% of the defensive snaps.

The formula looks familiar and it will be the Bills kind of game in terms of overall game plan: offense had 70 plays (staying on the field) whereas defense just needed 52 plays (get off the field, even if it means giving up one play TD drives).

I thought they might play Taron less, but he amazingly shut down Diggs from the slot.

I'd like to see Ray Davis snap count go up. He had a good run yesterday up the middle. I thought: "Give it to him again, he's pounding". BUt they took him off the field right after his run. That's not good.

Need more Kincaid too! I guess they are resting boys for the late season rush.

Taron made some great tackles too!

Knox more snaps than Kincaid is interesting.

Actually no. Kincaid is a glorified WR and is used as such - probably with his hamstring and knee injuries recently, they don't want to put too much strain on him other than free running.

Many want to get rid of Knox here but he's truly a 50-50 guy in terms of blocking/receiving (well maybe better in blocking than receiving). So he gets more one-one opportunities. I think he stays beyond this season. This is what you supposed to get with Knox and Hawes, and Cook on the field. The D has to worry about run or pass from the TEs. If Josh sees the Knox can beat the LB/S across from him in routes, he can audible to pass. Hawes is more of a surprise passing at this point.

He can do more. Knox has blocked his ass off all year. Kincaid doesn't give you that.

Agreed on the injury strain for Kincaid - he was battling but I'm sure they wanted to roll with Knox and Hawes as the plus blockers.

Palmer might end up being the worst FA signing of BB’s tenure.  He’s top 5 and is battling with Samuel for the 1st place prize.  Darius Slay has done just as much for the Bills as these two have.

I like our TE room.

One guy who is great in the pass game, not a blocker.

One guy who is good in the pass game, good in the run game.

One guy who is not much of a threat in the pass game, great blocker.

Thanks for posting this.  Snap counts tell a story and your preamble helps decode it.

Man.....that WR room is something else....

...and we can smell it from here.

Is Kincaid not 100% or just playing only is passing downs so that Cook/Davis/Johnson/Allen can run behind Hawes and Knox?

I think you are underselling Hawes.  He is 13 of 16 targets for 161 and 3 TDs.  Those are amazing numbers for a 3rd TE.

What I find interesting is that the Bills had 70 snaps on offense to the Patriots 52. In a game whose final score was as close as it was I wouldn’t have thought the disparity would be that large. I guess that’s what happens when the Bills defense gives up two touchdown runs in excess of 50 yards.
