It was insane. Beane's decision to keep his powder dry at the trade deadline may have been very wise. If you overpay for a guy who doesn't work out or gets hurt, or you take a serious injury at a key position, you've given up much more than you could ever have expected to get. (The only exception to this is the Jets. They're likely to blow these draft picks on busts or a fullback or something stupid.) Edited yesterday at 06:53 AM by Dan Darragh 1 Quote

Plus, what are the Bengals doing without Burrow? Nothing. I don’t think it would be a horrible thing for the Bengals to do. One more collapse would be the Texans/Chargers. With the Chargers winning last night, it's the Texans at issue. Assuming the tiebreakers there inure to the Bengals' benefit. And what if Burrow gets hurt in advance of the last game of the season, with the division on the line? I'd rather have Flacco than Browning if I'm them. Quote

That’s almost a guarantee first round exit. I suppose winning the division is good for a pat on the back. But you’re right, they wouldn’t let go of Flacco, as much as it would be nice for Flacco to have that opportunity. Quote

Would you let Trunisky walk right now to play for the colts? I wouldn’t. Quote

zow2 Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Bringing back Rivers is the dumbest move I've seen in a while. I do not see this being a Flacco type thing. Quote
