Danny Dimes is killing it at Indy he had Barkley and Danny & went 9 7 1 and an opening round out. Sounds Billsy to me! Good point. The Giants hired Daboll to develop Daniel Jones into another Josh Allen and he didn't get it done! Now look what DD looks like with a decent O line and run game in Indy. It's why Dabs would stink as a HC. Just think, Daboll was ok with trading away Saquon Barkley and to a team in the same division in the Eagles who went on to win a SB with him. Passing game specialist ONLY! 1 Quote

In Dabolls 12 years as HC/OC in the league, his offenses have only been in the top half of scoring and yards twice. TWICE. in his entire career. 12 years 4 years with Josh Allen 2 years with Jones (#1 in Passing Yards) and Barkley. Edited 2 hours ago by Mango 1 1 1 Quote
BillMafia716ix Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Nah im good on Daboll. He hates running the ball. James Cook would be a waste under him. Plus I don’t think Daboll and McD have the best relationship Quote

Yes, Daboll is very good at scheming players open. 32 minutes ago, Mango said: What if I told you that Brian Daboll has only ever had two season as HC/OC where his offense finished in the top half of the league in both yards and TD's. Just 2. Mind you he had Allen for 4 years ... So field goals don't mean anything anymore? Working with Brady you get the best of both worlds run and pass IMO. Teams around the league are giving up a ton of points by going for it on 4th down instead of taking the 3 points. Edited 2 hours ago by Figster Quote
TheFunPolice Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago he'll be Belichick's OC somewhere, unless Belichick goes to the Giants Quote

That might be something the pegulas do, because belichick would work cheap. I still don’t see them moving in from McSchottenheimer unless Josh puts his foot down. I effing hate the Patriots, BUT, they has a system and a game plan each week and executed flawlessly. The only hiccup is that Josh isn't TB12 and doesn't lead the team like Brady did. Also, Belicheck made very questionable recruiting decisons along with personnel assignments (Matt Patricia as OC???) once Brady left. Quote

Sorry, I said TD's but I was using total points. He has only had 2 seasons of his 12 years as OC/HC where he was top half in both points and yards. Of those 12 years, 6 were with Allen, Jones (current leader in passing yards), and Barkley...again, only figured a way to be top half in yards/points twice. That is bonkers. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/coaches/DaboBr0.htm 2 Quote

philholbroo Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Oh how I would love an offense that attacks rather than plays it too safe again. But that is at odds with what the head coach wants. Quote
bouds Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago When you can bring a son of a western NY back home you just have to do it. Good luck to him, always liked him as a coach. 1 Quote
C.Biscuit97 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I fully credit Daboll for helping make Allen the player he has become. But he is such an overrated coach. He has basically only been a a good offensive coach with Allen (too be fair, he has done a good job with Dart). Hurts became a much better player after he left him. So did Jones. He also seems to a lot to deal with . He was 20-40 so his firing is well warranted and he was given a longer leash than most coaches get with that record. I know the popular take it to hate Brady now. But fun fact, the Bills scored more points with Brady than any season with Daboll. And that was with prime Diggs (top 10 wr) and crazy Cole (might be the best wr on this roster), oh yeah, he helped Allen win a MVP. but if he wants to come back to tell Allen jokes and that helps, sure. Bring that chubby guy back. 8 minutes ago, TheFunPolice said: he'll be Belichick's OC somewhere, unless Belichick goes to the Giants What year is where we think Belichick is still an option teams are going to consider? He has been on a downward spiral for the last 5 years and has a psycho “girlfriend “ that makes decisions for him. I will bet you a lot of money he never gets another coaching job again, 1 Quote
HappyDays Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I'm open to anything at this point. The last two games Daboll coached here was the perfect game and the 13 seconds game. We don't have close to the same weapons we had back then but Daboll knows what Allen does well and can get through to him. Of course Daboll also coached the Urban Meyer game and a few other no-show performances so I'm not going to pretend he's some genius, but he can have some value here as a pass game coordinator. We need new route combinations and new ideas. Too many passes are in the direction of WRs that are standing still. Daboll knew how to create passes to WRs while they were still moving. Quote

A muffed punt gifted us a td or the game woulda been a laugher by halftime. They destroyed our offense in the regular season too that year as did the titans. Even at Daboll with his peak bills receivers, physical defenses destroyed us That game really wasn't that bad on offence. McDermott kicked 3 field goals when they were close to scoring, or on 4th and shorts. Maybe trust your all world qb to make a few plays on those 4th and shorts and you're looking at 31-34 points instead of 24 Edited 2 hours ago by BillsFan130 Quote
