He wouldn't have nearly the same type of toys today. What an embarrassment of riches that was looking back from where we are now. Bean what have you done! 1 Quote
billsherd Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Not sure if this has been said already but Bills should sign him as the "passing game coordinator". Not my first choice but mid-season it can't be anything else. Quote

Blackbeard Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago The same people beating the Daboll drum here are the same people bitching about hiring within, and the same people moaning about bringing back players. Daboll days are long gone fellas. Quote

Julio Hopkins Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago 13 minutes ago, Big Turk said: And then we would be right back to "why can't run the ball?!?!?". We need a mix of Daboll's passing game schemes with Brady's run game schemes if that is even possible. I don't think Daboll didn't want to run the ball; he just couldn't run the ball. Those offenses he had weren't extremely talented. The offensive line struggled heavily along with an extremely pedestrian running back and tight end room. Quote

At this point, all we're asking for is a WR that can get open or for our OC to be able to scheme some guys open and they can't even do that now. Edited 3 hours ago by Billz4ever Quote

Lamar and the ravens got 3 points for context. In totality for 2020 and 2021, the bills offence was ridiculously good in the playoffs The offense got whooped by the chiefs in the 2020 playoffs. A muffed punt gifted us a td or the game woulda been a laugher by halftime. They destroyed our offense in the regular season too that year as did the titans. Even at Daboll with his peak bills receivers, physical defenses destroyed us Quote
Mango Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) 15 minutes ago, L Ron Burgundy said: Divine intervention!!! Yes!!! Brady had promise but Daboll is an offensive badasss. What if I told you that Brian Daboll has only ever had two season as HC/OC where his offense finished in the top half of the league in both yards and TD's. Just 2. Mind you he had Allen for 4 years ... Edited 3 hours ago by Mango Quote

He doesn't need anything. But if he gets bored 🤷♂️ It's not about money at this point. It's ego. Getting canned mid-season, when you finally might have the QB you've been waiting for, is a huge embarrassment and black eye. Getting picked up immediately by another team would be a big ego boost. Especially if he could breathe life into our O. My 2 cents. Quote

But we DID run the ball effectively once he switched blocking schemes multiple years in a row... At the start of the year he would run a blocking scheme that wouldn't work and then after the bye we would switch to a different scheme and be one of the better running teams in the NFL. It was talked about multiple times by numerous film study people including Cover 1 Quote

The sales pitch was that we would attack defenses at their weakest points. So if they struggled with zone we'd man up and visa versa. It's a move by somebody who fancies themselves the smartest guy in the room. Not move made by a guy whose actually the smartest guy in the room. Not shocking he only has two years ever as either a HC or OC where his offenses were ranked top half in both yards and points. Quote
Nihilarian Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago This Buffalo Bills offense is run centric now and alas like when Daboll was here he had no answer when they shut down his passing scheme. Joe Brady doesn't seem to have no answer for when opponents shut down the run game. Another problem is that Buffalo no longer has that #1 WR in Stephon Diggs so I don't know if Daboll could replicate what he did when Diggs was here. He would have Shakir who is the best slot WR in the NFL and others who i think he could scheme to get open. Quote
PayDaBill$ Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Lmao you guys are your father’s son. The Bills love Bills retreads. Solid no to Daboll, plus it ain’t happening with McD at the helm. They didn’t get along in the first place. if we’re lucky enough to ditch McD the last thing I want is anyone associated with the previous regime. 1 Quote
DJB Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I never wanted Daboll to leave to begin with. Wanted Daboll promoted to HC and fire McDermott. Guess we will never know 3 Quote
