Sojourner Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Guaranteed home playoff game/s for the last year at the Ralph/Rich. Quote
Billsfanatic8989 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Would you rather face say...Pittsburgh and then Indy on the road. Or, host...Baltimore and then KC potentially? Yeah, I will take the former. The Chiefs have already come into Buffalo and won in the postseason. They won't be intimidated by anything. Baltimore probably wins last year if not for Andrews. NFL HFA isn't what it once was. Quote
BuffaloRebound Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Considering mcdermott and Josh have never won a road playoff game, I’ll go with the 1 seed no matter who we gotta play. Not really even close in my mind. 3 road playoff games vs 2 home games. Quote

You could still end up with a home game in the AFCCG as the #5 imo if the 1-4 are Indy, New England, Denver and Pittsburgh. I could see #6 Chargers @ #5 Bills for instance. transient Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago If we play like we did Sunday, either scenario is fine. I voted for #5 with Chiefs and Ravens out, though, because we're already thin on defense and any further injuries is going to make containing Mahomes and Jackson/Henry awfully tough. Quote
frostbitmic Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I went with the #1 seed for the fact that McDermott has never won a road playoff game, winning three sounds like winning the lottery, it can happen but it won't. 1 Quote
Heavy Kevi Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago We can beat the chiefs and ravens. Bills are really good after bye weeks. Home games cannot be understated. One less team to beat. Get that 1 seed! 3 1 Quote

Boatdrinks Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I chose the 1 seed as it’s the thing the Bills haven’t had yet. Getting the “ free” win during WC weekend, then needing a single victory at home to advance to the AFCCG is just too big to pass up. Without the 1 seed, Allen and the Bills have only advanced to the title game twice. Quote

DapperCam Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago If we had a bye we might have gotten to the SB one of these past years. Not only do you need to win one less game, it gives players a chance to heal up (especially if you can rest starters week 18), and one less chance to get injured in the game. Quote
Billsfanatic8989 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I do agree one more game increases the likelihood of injuries. However, in the past five years, TB, LAR, KC (2023), and the Eagles never had a bye. All won the SB. Quote

If you know you have the bye, I don't think you can rest starters in week 17. Starting a playoff game after two weeks off is asking for trouble. That's my one important nugget. Do not have rusty players. Edited 5 hours ago by Billsfanatic8989 Quote
SectionC3 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago 1 seed. I don’t want to play the 1 seed on the road after a bye. Unless of course 6 or 7 pulls an upset. Quote
Mark Vader Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Give me the 1 seed and the BYE week to start the playoffs. Home Field Advantage throughout, I don't care who we play. 1 Quote
GerstAusGosheim Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I can't watch Sean lose another game to Andy in the playoffs. Quote
T.E. Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Three road playoff wins sounds like a tall task, but for one game, I would rather go on the road to Denver or Indy than play Baltimore or KC at home, despite the difference in current records. 1 Quote

Would you rather be the 1 seed AND have the Chiefs & Ravens as division winners OR be the 5 seed & the Chiefs & Ravens both miss the playoffs? For me, I think that the Bills are the AFC favorite in either scenario but curious as to what others think. P.S. Try to leave out the emotions/nostalgia of “it would be really cool to play the AFC Championship as the last game at Higmark.” Let’s keep this as, “what is the easier path to a title?” I would think if you win the division your more than likely the 1 seed and would have a bye week to heal and it’s a lot easier to win 2 games in a row than 3 to make the SB. 1 Quote
