The Chiefs have done this to the Bills so many times in the playoffs.  Hopefully the Bills are holding something in the tank.

I dont really buy into any of this. The Chiefs are 3rd in their division.  That 4th and 17 play and play call tells you everything you need to know about how important this game was to them.  Never ran that play before.  If they don't pick up that first down they knew the game was over.  Defense was dead.  No different than years past.  Making 1 more play than Buffalo doesnt make them these masterminds that coach circles around em.  Two years ago missing their top 2 linebackers and safety, last season missing their top cb impacted those games most.

Because changing your body language in those situations is easier said than done. It's muscle memory.

Got it, so your theory is the Chiefs were already aware of this too and have pointed it out to Worthy, but he just hasn’t cleaned this up.  I know the Chiefs are good, but I’m not giving them that much credit.  Either way, what’s the advantage of Hairston saying anything here?

There is no advantage. There is no disadvantage. It is just absolute standard practice across the NFL. Every week, after every win, you find a defensive player of the winning team talking about how they saw something on film. 

 

It's a total non-story.

I disagree.  The disadvantage is he potentially tipped the Chiefs off to something that they hadn’t focused on cleaning up.  While the Chiefs are generally good with details, you can’t assume that they catch every little detail.  Let them spend their time trying to find this stuff, versus just giving the info away.

How do we know he's telling the truth?  Maybe he's smarter than us and messing with the Chiefs instead.  It wasn't like his pick was a jumped route or anything.

I don't know why people think it's hard to believe. Happens in baseball all the time, like Andy Pettitte splaying his glove out when the cutter was coming. And, a lot more film study in the NFL to catch these things. Just don't see why some people don't believe it with such confidence.

Isn't it obvious that players look for tells?  Wouldn't it also be obvious that coaches are telling these players to avoid showing tells?  
 

I mean , yeah don't talk about it, but it's not like Max handed them the playbook.
