Game week thread - Bills at Dolphins

The heat is definitely a factor. In the 2022 game down there, the team looked gassed from the start. Though that was in September.

With Epanesa out and Hoecht out for the season Landon Jackson has his opportunity to step up in a bog way. He needs to put it together now and be productive.

Also AJ has been a fish killer in the past.  I'm sure Tua is breathing a little easier with him out.  I look for Groot to have a big game.

In that game, the heat index was 110......that's even unbearable for Floridians!!

 

Although it will be hot, there is a huge difference between 94 with a heat index of 110, and 86 with a heat index of 93.

I was at that game, sitting in the sun the whole time just like the players and it was unbearable. I cannot imagine how hot it would be in a helmet and uniform. I suspect conditions will be way better this week than back in Sept 2022.

I think Bills fans are spoiled to even suggest this. Yes, the Bills have done this numerous times to weaker teams…. But it’s not really that common to get 3 or 4 score leads against divisional opponents.    Whats more the dismay that follows the game when we only win by 10, rather than the 21 or more points that was wished for/expected.    
 

The Bills should win. There really need to win.  But if it’s not a blowout multiscore lead at the half, it doesn’t mean the Bills aren’t good or taking them lightly. 
 

The team is dealing with a lot of injuries to key players, some will be out, some should absolutely be on a snap count.  That, in and of itself, means this game is likely to be closer than a lot of folks would like.

The funny thing is that it's forecast to be 43 degrees on Tuesday morning......a 43 degree drop in about 36 hours!!

Watch out for falling iguana's. Haven't seen any in WCF but they are all over the place in S. Florida...

It would really suck if we approached this week as a "rest" week for players who could play like Daquan and Palmer and then lost.  Our games against the Dolphins have been close lately.

 

For the many on this board who consistently apply the transitive property to NFL games, the Dolphins did blow out a Falcons team that beat the Bills just a couple weeks ago.

He was well on his way to rolling against the Falcons until he was injured by an uncalled illegal tackle.

I'd be surprised if it was within 2 scores even with those 2 out. McD is calling the defense now and he wrote the book on how to make the Fins look like crap offensively.

This is one of the biggest trap games I have ever seen for the following reasons:

 

1) Tua is done. Finished. He should not even be playing.

2) The Bills need this game. They are not even in first place in the AFC East.

3) Miami's coach will be fired sooner than later. They can't wait to dump him.

4) The Dolphin's season is over. They have nothing to gain by winning, and might even lose out on a QB by doing so.

 

So yes, it is a trap imo. It looks too easy and if every game that looks this easy was a winner, none of us would ever have  to work. Now, do I think they the Bills will cover the 9 1/2? I do. I think that the line should be somewhere around 17. Would I be shocked if they win by 3? Not really. I will probably make a small bet on the Bills but that is it.

 

Sorry for the rant. I suppose this post was just me thinking out loud.

They haven't made it up to the Orlando area, but I've seen the reports on the news from South Florida.
