The Frankish Reich Posted Monday at 07:08 PM Posted Monday at 07:08 PM Mr. Brightside sez: when you sign a player like Hoecht, you hope that he's responsible for adding a win or two by making pivotal plays. Hoecht made a difference in two games, and without him we very well might've lost yesterday. 2 Quote

This is a massive loss for the Bills. Lets pump the brakes a bit. He's a guy whose best year was 6 sacks. Really nice player, would have helped a lot. A LOT. But lets not act like the Bills lost 1992 Bruce Smith here. Edited Monday at 08:46 PM by RkFast 1 1 2 Quote

The way some are talking about this guy is absolutely lunacy Keep in mind the Chiefs Oline hasn't been good in two years and was missing starters again yesterday Quote

In all seriousness, he was a really good fit for this defense and brought a lot of energy and versatility that they are going to miss. 2 Quote

Only has one full starting season (last year) which was his highest sack total (6.) He was definitely trending upwards. Now we’ll probably never know. 2 Quote
Bimmer323i Posted Monday at 10:38 PM Posted Monday at 10:38 PM Of course he's out for the season... Happens every year then we go into the playoffs with a depleted defense and lose every time... when do we catch a break?? 1 Quote

Confirmed Oh . hello Curse. We missed you. not. This sks . let me count the ways .... Quote

On a one year $10M deal, not sure how they’d be able to structure it. But he would be a viable replacement. Welp - Ravens just got him for a 5th. Would’ve been perfect. Quote

MAJBobby Posted Tuesday at 03:33 AM Posted Tuesday at 03:33 AM Ok where this will be noticed is he rushes from the inside for Oliver. now maybe Groot takes this and you get a de like Solomon or Epenesa. Quote

I'm not an X's and O's guy but the difference in the Bills pass rush before and after he left the game looked noticeable to me. If someone here has compared him to Bruce by all means call that person out. In the mean time I'll be thrilled if I see the same pass rush going forward without Hoecht Quote

There's an out in your contract after 2026 when we can dump your ass but nobody on the roster is getting younger right now when we need you. I have no doubt he can come back to the NFL it just doesn't seem likely he'll have the same speed, explosion etc when he does or at least that's what I seem to see with alot of other guys in all different sports who've had this type of injury although Jack Quinn of the Sabres seems to be getting that speed back and he tore his but it took almost 2 seasons for him to finally start looking like himself at the start of this year which is encouraging. Again mine did tear all the way and until calcium build up started aggravating it didnt get it checked til then... When I was younger.. played a lot of basketball... still play hockey... baseball etc... soccer competitively... plus im a ct tech and see lots of these injuries... 6 months post surgery to really return to "normal activities... a year to compete... but much longer to feel confident... Im too wondering at this level if these guys dont do enough achilles strengthening exercises.. 1 Quote
