That is relatively inconsequential. Cooper Kupp runs a 4.62 40. Davante Adams runs a 4.57, Cris Carter ran a 4.63, Anquan Bolden ran a 4.71, Larry Fitzgerald ran a 4.63...

Those numbers don't actually mean anything really at the end of the day...there are other factors involved as to why he isn't able to shake loose that many other players running his speed or slower, figured out how to overcome.  Coleman needs to do a better job of keeping DBs off balance regarding the route he is running that clearly he is not, whether that is because he is telegraphing it somehow or because he isn't setting them up to be on their wrong foot, or whatever

Agree. You would think that coaching could help his route running. Jerry Rice wasn't a speed guy either.

Everyday for lunch in high school, my depression era stepmother made one slice of bologna with French’s mustard and two slices of Wonder Bread. Haven’t had bologna since, other than of course metaphorically on this site.

I obviously grew up in luxurious privilege because my mother never allowed bologna in the house, only top end coldcuts from Federal on NFB

I thought it was a treat when i'd have it at friends' houses lol

I am leaning towards his playing couldn't be much worse than what has been seen up until now.  I am readying suitable sound bites if there's an occurrence of 'frying pan hands'.

That's really strange.

Last time Gabe was on the Bills, Bills fans ran him out of out of town on a rail by screaming expletives at him from the stands.

Now we want him back.

Weird

I thought it was the right move letting him walk. I’ll be happy if he comes back and can help the team

Like it or not, with Palmer injured and a vacancy on the PS, this is an obvious move.  I'd still like to see the Bills make a move at WR.  Don't know that they will.

Probably a three TE formation...

Federal in the Delton Plaza on Delaware was where the bologna came from.

Gabe had problems with drops, and the average Bills fan (like me) probably didn't want to see him taking the #1 snap count for WRs.

The final straw was no one wanted to pay him $13M per year.

If Davis wanted to be WR4 for $3M per, I would have been all for that.

In the right role, Davis is a solid addition.  If the option is him vs. Shavers, Davis is a better blocker and slightly better at boundary route running.

I have no issues bringing him in as WR4/5

Wrong route Gabe to the rescue!!!

Yep Wrong Way Gabe is inching his way back to the lineup.   Can't keep his 3 routes straight, clap catches the football because his hands are too hard to do otherwise and now he has a bum knee to boot.    I will say that he does kinda' know how to find open space in a scramble drill which is apparently a trait that eludes most of the more able bodied WR's they have.

I wonder if the owner puts in low grade fuel and uses cheap tires?

What I keep telling myself is this: Gave Davis did exactly what you're supposed to do in the NFL. He worked hard, made the most of his chances and is an NFL caliber player.

The problem is that he's a rich team's WR 4 and a poor team's WR 2. WR2 is probably the most overpaid position in the NFL and the Jaguars offered a sum of money wildly disproportional to his capabilities.

That's not his fault, nor is it that Beane hasn't managed to get anyone who is appreciably better.

So welcome back Gabe, I wish we didn't need you.
