Yeah there's an article on ESPN this morning predicting the dolphins have a firesale.  We need to be all in on Waddle.

Dodson and douglas for a 6th rounder.  We need back 7 players who are better than replacement value and know the defense.  Then trade a higher pick for a pass rusher.

I go back and forth on in division trades-if the Bills offer the best trade they st least have to consider it, right? Have to think about your own team first, the team you’re trading with has to be a distant 2nd

Why aren’t we going after Hendrickson? He would be a rental player as he’s only on a one year deal.  We should be able to work out something with Cincy where they eat most of his ‘25 salary in order to receive some high draft picks.

Dodson was a mistake to let go for the likes of Spector and the other guy we kept.

 

Douglas would be practice squad quality for us.

You’re probably right, but this not trading within your division is kind of antiquated. The Dolphins are a team about to rebuild. They don’t have the same window as us. By the time they are competitive again, Waddle’s career will be on the downswing. Reminds me when Belicheck had no issue sending us Bledsoe.

This is and should be true.  If their GM is not willing to trade in the division, even if he is interim, should be fired for malpractice.   Should be maximizing the return, period.  

 

Miami probably has a multiple-year re-stock going.  If trading any players in 2025 to the Bills, Patriots, or Jets bite them in the ass in 2028, then their rebuilt team isnt really rebuilt.

From reports Beane has been very active looking for a WR.  Have to add a DT to that as well.  I expect we will bring guys in by trade at each spot, and that half the folks on the board will beeyatch about who he got.

Especially if they're dumping Tua.  Waddle will be an accessory on a rebuild consuming resources that could be better spent on other players.  Hard to say with Grier gone what they'll be willing to do

Scheduling "luck" that we play the Dolphins in Miami immediately after the deadline, that must complicate things one would presume?

 

Cannot forsee them trading Waddle to Buffalo and then having to face him in 5 days time.
