I don't view them as contenders this year. I think they can be, very soon, but they need another off-season.

If we get swept by them, we don't deserve to win the AFCE.  And if we beat them in Foxborough, I suspect we'll be in good position to win the division and be a very high seed in the AFC.  No need to worry about them at this point in the season, in other words, imo.

 

Chiefs are next.  Get your hate on for them.

They aren’t a mess like they were last season. The coaching has improved. Defense looks better. I need to see more. Wins against the Bills (again) and Bucs, would make me a believer. 

 

Maye's physical tools and talent is undeniable. He looks the part. Time will tell on whether he can be clutch and not flinch in the face of adversity.

So far, not yet. 
 

That said.. I’m a little exhausted with the Pats dooming. 
 

We have next to zero forward pass game at the moment and it took losing the turnover battle by 2, in the midst of our annual slump, to lose a one possession game to them. 
 

Their schedule is the biggest worry.

He's throwing the ball really well.  But when I watch the highlights, he usually has a clean pocket, and his receivers are  more open than any Bills receiver I've seen all season.

 

All the tools - but he has such a long way to go.  He hasn't led a 4th quarter comeback yet, and we have NO idea what kind of playoff performer he'll be.

The cheats got a gift from son of the coward hockulie and our o was mentally handicapped.  If we ran the same game vs the pats and dork azz ATL as we did against the Panthers we'd have no losses.

An objective view of the Pats v Bills game should emphasize that the Bills played terribly, the refs shaved hard with one-sided calls early, and even dumb luck seemed one-sided...and still the Pats escaped with a one-score win. It took a LOT to lose that game by 3, including REALLY bad offensive play. 

 

While the loss of Ed Oliver, presumably for most/all of the season, is just more of that unlucky brutality, the Bills will be a different team (for the better) when they face New England again.

 

Who among us would swap coaching staffs with the Pats straight-up?

If we had similar SOS the rest of the way, I'd be 100% on that.

 

Their schedule is just so easy.  I still think we take the division, but we left ourselves little margin for error by gifting them that win in the 1st match-up (along w/ some help from the ref crew).

I still believe that Buffalo has the better team, but the cupcake Schedule that New England has is extremely concerning. The Bills are going to have a small margin of error going forward to win the AFC east.  I am hoping for something similar to two years ago where we take the division back when it counts after letting the division rival enjoy it for awhile like when we did that to Miami.

He hasn’t led a 4th quarter comeback … yet most people would say he did a version of that versus the Bills.

He has led 1 fourth quarter comeback this year. Second yesterday he was hit hard by the Browns and rarely had a clean pocket.. as for receivers running open that’s just good OC play calling. 
 

Also the Bills game was only won by 3 and I hear all of you making excuses like “bad refs” those refs called it bad for both teams it wasn’t one sided.. then I hear if it wasn’t for turnovers .. ya and if it wasn’t for turnovers the Pats be 7-1..  (the Pats outplayed the Steelers but had 5 TO and still could have won the game!) it is what it is would I be shocked if the Bills win up here going away? No.. but I also wouldn’t be shocked if the Bills got smacked up here as well.. to much can change between now and then with injuries and trades.

Given the fact that they had all that money to spend and then bringing in Vrabel & their old OC it was pretty much a given that they were going to be better and I think going forward until they have to pay their QB and some others they will be good for a while .

 

But the Bills aren't a push over so it will be a fight every time these 2 teams are on the field . The Bills have a chance to tie up the series between the 2 and if the D plays like they did yesterday going forward I think it will be a much better game for the Bills next go round !!

Best thing for the Bills is to have another team everyone is talking about. I hope the Pats are favored in the next meeting.
