So there are people on this board who have a problem with McD calling plays when the D looked the best it has so far? Holy sht people. I couldn’t care less who calls the plays as long as the D is playing well. Get a grip.

I'm a hardcore mchater, but that man has proven he can call and with the best in the NFL.  He has a feel for what frustrates opponents and dials up coverages to hide the talent holes on d.

I'm not a fan of his scheme over all, but he's clearly the best at it.

He also seems to inspire confidence in the young guns. Gets them just flying

Defense has looked much better since the second half of the Atlanta game. If they perform well next week, we are in good shape.

That’s a big “IF”. !   Falcons got smoked by the fins , we beat dalton behind a patchwork o line.  Hardly convincing stuff. Let’s see how many times they get to Mahomes ; then we will have a more accurate picture about playoff type football.  I don’t see Cook running for 200 yards either as Reid will key on him.

I agree with you tho , perform like that against KC, and it would be reason to be optimistic. Pats have an easy schedule  tho, we will be without Oliver most Likely as well,, so we might be a wildcard and should that happen , it will be like prior years as not getting that week off and playing on the road is unlikely to lead to a Super Bowl.  I prefer to see the Bills actually beat some quality teams like KC, TAMPA,  OR PITTSBURGH before fully buying in.  Hey , they have fooled me for 8 years so now prove sometime to me.    Happy Halloween!n

In the past, the defense has played good defense vs the Chiefs during the season. Only to fold in the postseason. So even a good performance next week might not mean much. But it will give me hope of a possible one seed.

I don't think KC goes all out during the regular season vs the Bills.

Not if Indy keeps playing the way they are...they might not lose again. They are just blowing the doors off teams

D played better but my gosh they gave up a ton of 3rd and long conversions. That has to change!

and a 4th and 12 on the TD drive

It was a washed up Andy Dalton today folks, lets see who's calling D next week against Mahomes

Some on this board were actually afraid of that guy!

I’m sure the Chiefs don’t hold back for one of their biggest games of the year. I think it’s just a classic case of the better coaching staff winning the rematch.

Such a crazy assertion that they just don’t care about the regular season game by some people 😂. They’ve got more info to gameplan on and we’ve had some easily exploitable defensive injury in the last few playoff rematches

im sure they would’ve annihilated Elam last year or Klein two years ago in the regular season all the same

How many more coordinators have to be emasculated by having their play calling duties taken away or lose their jobs before McDermott realizes it’s not a “they problem”, and it’s an “I” problem.

Is it Bobby Babich’s fault it’s 2025 and Tre White, Jordan Phillips and Jordan Poyer are either starting or playing significant time?

Is it his fault that 9 years into this regime, with all the draft picks and free agents invested on the def line, that they cannot generate a consistent pass rush with the front four?

Did he draft Kair Elam, or an undersized middle linebacker, who can’t seem to stay healthy?

Did he Overpay B players like their A players like; Rousseau, Oliver, Benford…

Is it his fault Matt Milano can’t stay healthy?

Is it Bobby Babich’s fault that Damar Hamlin was a starting safety last year and Taylor Rapp this year?

Is it his fault that the league has transitioned back to running the ball more and that the Bills old, slow, undersized defense is giving up 5.8 ypc and is still built to stop the pass (which they don’t even do that well)?

That explains why the defence looked 10x better today lol.

It doesn't take rocket science to know that Babich is awful

It also helped that we were playing against Andy Dalton. Not exactly great mobility at QB which has burned our asses this year and, well, every other year.

Let's not start thinking this D is fixed or anything near just bc McD grabbed a playcall sheet and turned on his radio.

It's still undersized, oft-injured (probably in no small part due to being undersized), and slow. No amount of a slightly different configuration is going to turn chicken ***** into chicken salad.

People still complaining about McDermott even when a good thing happens. The guy literally brought us to the playoffs with nobody's his first year.

Babich who was a great position coach and is young, seems to be struggling calling plays gets guidance and help from supervisor

In other news employers continue to train their employees in hopes they learn and handle the job hired for

Indy spanking teams like the Titans doesn’t worry me.  Beating the Chargers caught my eye, but they also lost to the Rams and squeaked one out against the Cardinals.  Given their schedule the second half of the season, I’d be shocked if the Colts finish better than 13-4.  I don’t know that they have an easy out in their final 9 games and I don’t see them going better than 6-3 in that stretch.

Doubful in my view as they might be peaking too soon. They play at 4-3 Pittsburgh, 3-4 Atlanta, and at 4-3 Kansas City, 3-4 Houston, at 4-3 Jacksonville, at 5-2 Seattle, and 5-3 San Francisco, Jacksonville, at Houston.

Danny Dimes at QB, I suspect he could fall on his face at some point. Tough to trust him.

I understand that they may have. tougher teams ahead on the schedule...and they are likely to lose a few of them...but why bad mouth a QB who has been playing very well...It is not a fluke that he is playing well...the guy has put in the effort and has a competent offense to play in unlike in NY.

I don't believe that stating that it's tough to trust him or that he could fall on his face is bad-mouthing him. The guy has a 30-45-1 record, and perhaps like Geno Smith, Sam Darnold, and Baker Mayfield, who also took some years to develop into a good starting QB. We will see.
