Sweats Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Honest question....... What is our team identity? I mean, we're not a run first or pass first team. We're not a down your throat running team. We're not a finesse passing team. We're not field stretchers.........and on D, we're not aggressive, we're not "in your face", we're not tough, etc. "Taking what the defense gives us" is not an identity, it's a system. I have tried to figure out an identity to describe this team and how it plays and i have no clue. 1 Quote
Warriorspikes51 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago It should be founded on the OL's ability to take over games on the ground, 3TE sets & combined with play action and scheming players open the defense doesn't have an identity 2 Quote
zow2 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago The masses romanticize running the football. It's important, you do need a running game especially when you're ahead. But you have to hit some passes along the way. Running so much that you're killing clock and constantly getting into 3rd and 4th downs is hazardous for the game. It keeps the score close deep into the second half. Kansas City buried the Raiders yesterday with short and medium throws with good RAC yardage. Philly came out running some and then capped it with a nice 37-yard TD to AJ Brown. That's prefect execution. 1 Quote
GoBills808 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago But for a brief period in 2023 it's to be conservative on both sides of the ball Quote

frostbitmic Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Would heavily penalized be a team identity ? 6 Quote
BuffaloBillies Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Was/should be: Blue-collar Buffalo standing out under grey skies in a winter storm taking the punishment like a champ. No matter what happens or what you do to us, we're gonna keep coming at you as a unified brotherhood, for our city. What it feels like now: Don't worry, Josh will bail us out. If not, at least he has his commercials. 1 Quote

Kirby Jackson Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago We are a bit confused. We are a run heavy team that plays with a lot of TEs. It used to be a 6th OL but now it’s Hawes. We want to run, limit mistakes and control the clock. It’s just a super weird approach and way of building a team around, arguably, the most physically gifted QB in history. 🤣🤣 This offense would have been the PERFECT offense when you had Tyrod under center. 2 Quote
Governor Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) To the other teams? Did you see the Falcons RB flatten Rapp near the goal-line just for fun? Pseudo bully is what I’d call it. Edited 1 hour ago by Governor Quote
Pete Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Vanilla offense that no one fears. A defense no one respects. 1 Quote

947 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Bills identity: Josh Allen & The Bend but also Break Defense 1 Quote
BuffaloRebound Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Win the turnover battle, control the clock on offense with a lot of low risk plays, and hope the defense makes a couple stops while not letting offenses throw over the top. Win a weak division, win a home playoff game against a weak wild card team, then lose in the 2nd round unless we’re playing lamar. Quote
Mikie2times Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Play fundamentally sound. Don't make mistakes, force your opponent to earn everything. With that approach, it leads to fairly conservative play on both sides of the ball. But really, in todays NFL, if you aren't dictating the terms, you're behind the eight ball. 1 Quote
AlCowlingsTaxiService Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago On defense? Bend and Break. Offense? The R2P2 offense (run, run, pass, punt) 1 Quote

Building your team w the intent of limiting possessions when you have a QB who accumulates TDs at the best rate in league history It's just such a limp approach 2 Quote
