As bad as our defense has been at times I'm not remotely scared of Bryce Young. Just put Epenesa, Rousseau, Jackson et al out there on passing downs and put your hands up lol Young has won 3 straight and 4 of last 5, and his escapability has been key in converting 3rd downs and red zone trips. That sort of guy gives the Bills trouble. Dalton, on the other hand, is more apt at pre-snap reads and getting the ball out super fast. That sort of guy also gives the Bills trouble. 1 7 1 Quote

I feel like every one of these mid-season games is crucial now - and I'm sure the team does too. Could help sharpen this team for a better run in the playoffs. And maybe playing with a JV receiving corps will improve Josh's accuracy. Could happen! Quote

Because you know the whole transitive property thing works so well in the NFL. I just laughed about it. Carolina could win, but if Buffalo is worth their weight in self scouting their own problems they have had, then they should come out and win that game by double digits, especially after a bye week. Guess we will see if McDermott learned as much as the fans have and if he will have a better game plan, along with Joe Brady, to actually have the over 30 ppg Bills offense show up. If they want to play the transitive property game, we smoked the Jets and they squeaked by. We’re in for a long season if the Bills can’t beat the Panthers off the bye and with a large Bills crowd in attendance. The crowd alone will be demoralizing for the Panthers. 1 2 1 Quote

HereComesTheReignAgain Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Does anyone else feel like the Bills players take much longer to come back from injuries than other teams? I can understand being cautious, but at what point do you expect a player to get back on the horse and play even if they may not be 100%? Obviously we do not know what goes on behind the scenes, and I don't obsessively follow other teams injury situations. With that said, why would it take Hairston multiple weeks to "learn the defense" as has been said a handful of times. How much worse could he be than White lining up 15 yards downfield because he can't keep up with anyone? It's not like the defense is a finely oiled machine that could be thrown off by a couple mistakes. The defense is an absolute mess with players that should be watching the game from their couch playing meaningful snaps. I really hope to see Hoecht and Ogunjobi active for this game. If this defense is so complicated that pros can't figure it out, and they can only sub in over the hill ex Bills players, something needs to change. Maybe it is time to take off the kid gloves and play football. (I know I am currently a keyboard warrior sitting at my desk with an aching back). The other point of contention I have is the incessant need to rotate players at several positions. It clearly is not working. Play the best players and only take them off the field if they really need a breather. If they aren't able to play the majority of the snaps, maybe it is time to look into the conditioning program. 4 1 Quote

That last sentence is where I'm at too. I think it's a function (especially on defense) of drafting smaller, more fragile players. 3 Quote

This is going to be another level, and not in a dome where there’s an obnoxious Falcons sound system pumping through the facility. The entire vibe of this game is going to be completely different, so long as the entire team doesn’t pop their calves in warmups. 1 Quote
Bills!Win! Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago There are 3 silver linings of a bills loss to the panthers this week 1. We can all lower our superbowl expectations and enjoy a season with lowered standards 2. the bills will see their flaws and what they need to improve before the trade deadline and offseason 3. They will be 4-3 going into the chiefs game and play with a sense of urgency like never before 2 Quote

Terry will probably do nothing if the season ends with another disappointment, but he really should think about cleaning house and bringing in a new FO. 2 Quote

I do have to say listening to WGR and a lot of the "influencer" media...I don't think they have a clue about the Panther QB situation currently... Like... Bryce is their guy... They Drafted him #1 overall... I get we are spoiled with Josh...But there's only one Josh Allen... There seems to be this assumption that the Panthers are more than willing to let Bryce just take the week off... That they secretly feel Dalton gives them a better chance to win... I can promise you that is not the case in Carolina. He's their #1 overall pick QB and their team leader regardless of national perception, and he has not played poorly. Sure if he's too injured to play he won't play... But that is the ONLY criteria... Otherwise... He's going to play... He's their guy... 1 Quote

That was a soul crushing loss. Nothing has topped that in my life. I wasn't around for the four SB losses. Losing a close SB would suck. But it wouldn't top 13 seconds. If the Bills play mistake free against the Panthers, they will win. If not, they can definitely lose. The Panthers are good enough to take advantage of mistakes. Bryce Young is playing better and i hope the Panthers stick with him and don't pull the plug too early like other teams have done to watch Darnold, Mayfield, and others age with time. Maybe Georeg Seiffert was right all along - a rookie shouldn't start and QB's take time to develop. 1 1 Quote
