Where did you read that?  Seems like there is no rush to pay him either.  They have two more years.

The one guy the bills could fit on their roster is AJ Brown because of the weird way his money is structured but I don't see that happening.  It will be funny if he goes to New England.  Funny in the bad way.

Was floating around last year around this time, after he got his DWI.  It never came out from a Schefter, but 100% believe it. That team needs a lot in a brutal division.  They paid JJ at the top of the market (as they shouldv'e).  I believe it was even rumored maybe theyd try to trade him (JJ) at his top value and save the $$.  I dont think there was real legs to that one, but Im sure they fielded calls looking for a Kings ransom.  Thats a ton of $$ at one position, which is fine, but doing Due Diligence too.

Weve seen Higgins+Chase money on the Bengals.  Different situations I know, but theyd also be dumb to turn down a major deal.  They are probably looking for a QB still.  Cant pay 2 guys top $$ without knowing who QB is.  I think he can 100% be pried away from them.  The cost is going to hurt, but thats a premium position to fill.  It should hurt.

I would hope that nobody would be ruled out at this time because of their personality. They need playmakers and they don't have the luxury of being picky.

They don’t care lol it’s not how we operate. And then hilariously had both big signings immediately go down for juicing

A first for Olave? And I thought Beane was bad.

We should send our 2nds Beane is bad in the 2nd round.

Other than Torrance and Cook they are all misses.

Examples: Zay, Cody Ford, AJE, Keon, Bishop, Boogie, Sanders.

Going through the league and looking at teams that aren’t going anywhere and who possess a genuine #1.

Jets: Garrett Wilson. They are not trading him, and certainly not to the Bills.

Dolphins: Waddle. I actually think he is slightly more plausible than Wilson in terms of willingness to trade, but only by a tiny bit. And I can’t see him being traded to the Bills at all. I would trade a first for him, though.

Browns: Jeudy. Maybe? He’s a better player than many think, but the Bills haven’t had luck with Browns castoffs these past two years.

Bengals: Chase/Higgins. Neither is being traded. They are being saved for next year because Cincy has the QB.

(Ravens: Nobody because even though they are 1-5, they appear to still see themselves as still in it.)

Titans: Calvin Ridley. Plausible.

Raiders: No one moves the needle for me.

Giants: No one; Wandale Robinson isn’t a position fit and is a JAG anyway.

Saints: Olave. Perfect, but I just don’t see the Saints robbing their offensive minded head coach of his best receiver. I would trade a first for him.

Saints: Brandon Cooks. This is basically an Amari Cooper move.  No thanks.

Cardinals: Harrison, Jr. Not happening.

At the end of the day, the only people I’m seriously inquiring about are Olave, Ridley, Jeudy (maybe), Waddle, and Wilson, but with the expectation that the latter two are no-gos.

Brandon Cooks even in his 30s is better than any current Bills WR not named Shakir, and probably is better than him too.

The Browns would have to eat 9 million dollars in salary over 3 years.  His stats are fine, but those numbers come from a ton of targets.  Hes a skilled player, but he has below average hands.    He may be better than Coleman, but you have to call on Olave first.

The Bills need to get rid of the "everybody eats" mentality, because they're all starving right now, and the offense is anorexic.

The time to do it is right now during the bye. I personally think they should trade a 1st round pick for AJ Brown. 2 reasons.

1. We can’t draft anyone good so might as well get someone who we know is good.

2. This would move the needle farther than anything the Bills could make for a defensive player. It would make our offense dynamic and i promise you we will start scoring 30 again. Also the defense has always sucked so why bother anyway.

Olave is 1 hit away from retirement.

No thanks.

AJ Brown is the only guy Beane should be considering.

I didn't include him because I just don't see Philly getting rid of their best receiver in a year in which they're trying to repeat.

If we lose to the Panthers the only trade I want to see is with SF. Josh Allen for a 1st. Let him go with a competent organization.

But back to your premise if we get Olave I want another WR, too.

Ridley and Olave - sending Samuel or Davis or someone else young would be fine - is what i would take.

Wrong direction - Send the entire set of draft picks for Shanahan. His second string team has a winning record.

There's really no good options.  I thought of Cooks for a second, but the guy hasn't been an impact receiver in almost a half-decade now.  Shaheed is probably the best obtainable option, but is he really any better production wise than guys like Palmer or Samuel were before we signed them? I suppose his speed could possibly open the field a bit, but we need an impact guy, not another #3 or low end #2.  I think we just suffer through it and find a way to get Kincaid, Shakir and Cook the ball as much as possible.

Never thought I'd say this, but we actually miss Mack Hollins as a receiver.  That's how bad the receiver room is currently.

If you’re looking for a #1 the best guy out there is AJ Brown. Now, to get him is gonna be pricey, and that’s even if Philly decides to play ball. It’s going to be a first and then some…

A more realistic option would be Shaheed. Not sure if he’s a #1, but he’s fast and brings skills to our team that our current WRs are lacking. The problem here is that a lot of people have noticed his play of late, so you’re probably going to have to overpay if you want him. I could see Pats and KC looking to make deals as well, so then you have to leverage the cost to benefit there a bit.

Ridley doesn’t inspire hope in my eyes at all. He should be getting fed like crazy with a rookie QB and isn’t producing

Bengals have Burrow (sometimes) so they’re not selling. Same with Baltimore.

Giants aren’t selling, Jets won’t sell to us, Miami has Waddle but he’s injured more than I’d like, Saints likely want to keep Olave given their investment in him, Vegas has empty cupboards, and most other teams have noticed abandoned hope yet.

The options are limited and expensive, but something has to change.
