Brandon Beane - failing Josh Allen

Not only does Beane completely miss on too many draft picks but he has us up against the cap signing guys who don't really move the needle for us.

Beane & McD just assume that JA17 Is going to be superman every game…and will make up for their shortcomings as GM & HC.  

 

They are never going to win the big one with that way of thinking.

I think he was pressing for sure, but who is he supposed to throw the ball to? As Ron Jaworski used to say, qb is a dependent position. They're not getting separation and Josh is getting beat up.

Nope.  I posted pre game with the news of Jones being out this thread was coming.  
 

Daquan Jones.  Another jag we keep believing he’s still playing like it’s 2021.  

 

And the Samuel injury and Kincaid injury.  
 

I can’t defend him anymore.  Look around the league.  Look at our roster.

That's some of it for sure, but the truth is Josh has been mediocre this year. He's not recognizing blitzes. He's missing wide open receivers (when they do get open). He's forcing bad throws...some of this is on him.

Why is Beane so opposed to drafting a speedy receiver?

 

The Worthy trade keeps popping up as the dude wins games.  Other speed WRs have been bypassed as well.

 

Beane is continually outsmarting himself, thinking he knows it all.

 

I used to be a Beane fan, but not any more.

^ That is 6 seasons worth of 1st and 2nd round picks. Kincaid is decent (probably average for his draft slot). Torrence is up and down, but part of a good unit. Cook is a top-10 back and outplayed his draft spot. Rousseau is okay. The rest are busts, or haven't made an impact yet.

That is a really bad drafting track record over 6 years, and it's kind of crazy the Bills have had consistent success with that.

There’s still hope for Kincaid, he’s been great early on. Think his improved blocking is even required for the Cook spice. This is necessary to call out for the Beane equation because Beane’s been docked for Kincaid recently.

 

Kincaids slight ascension is probably nullified by Groot’s disappearance however, leaving Beane without Allen as middling chaotic neutral. Probably C+ without Allen. Not awful, not SB guarantee

they bring in multiple speed guys though...they have no clue how to use them...   we have been through a ton of them and always blame the player,

Respectfully disagree, I know its annoying we all grab pitch forks every time we lose.  And I kniw josh did not play well no doubt. But when you have 3 different game analysts comment on the lack of seperation live during the game without watching the all 22, theres a probably a problem. Its been a talked about problem for awhile, but when a TE and the former chargers wr3 go down and it derails your passing offense with a generational qb, you should ask talent acquisition questions.
