To fire or not to fire?

  1. 1. It's all up to you. Do you fire Sean McDermott?

    • Yes. Gotta stop wasting Josh Allen
    • No. He turned the team around and deserves more time.

Not that I expect Terry to clean house but on the chance he does then who are emerging as the top GM/HC candidates. There are usually 4 or 5 jobs opening up after the season. Given the Jets are 0-6 with a bunch of 1-5 teams I expect that will happen again.

4-2 with panic in the streets! The bleating has become almost biblical.

Rex Ryan stated he wanted to build a "bully" in Buffalo... how did that work out?  Buffalo went from 9-7 under Marrone with a top 5 defense under Schwartz. Ryan went 8-8 and then 7-9 while taking apart the best D line with the best pass rush in the league. Mario Wiliams went from 14.5 sacks to dropping into pass coverage or taking on blockers. Things usually get worse when the HC is fired.

After 2024, seven NFL head coaches were fired, and how many are doing good at this time? Since 2000, the Raiders have made 15 NFL head coaching changes. How has that worked out? Cleveland-NY Jets-NY Giants, and so on.

The sky is not falling, and when players can't contain their gaps or make tackles, blown assignments, and coverages, it falls on the players and the DC. If this stuff continues, look for McD to take over the playcalling and find a replacement for Babich. McD made the change at OC when he needed to make it.

As for the offense, wasting Josh Allen? He went 15 of 26 for 180 yards, 2 TDs, 2 INTs. Both Dalton Kincade and Josh Palmer were injured for this game, and suddenly, Allen had nobody to throw to...

As bad as everyone thought the Falcons were, they are the #1 team in the league in passing yards allowed. That defense is pretty darn good, and they had a bye week to get ready for Buffalo.

My thoughts are just RELAX!                 It's a long season, and it's only 6 games in.

McBeane has looked good only because of Josh...

I have zero belief that they will ever have enough talent around him, nor do I believe that if they did, that they would be coached and schemed up well enough to get to and win the Super Bowl...

I just don't see it...

Is Lindy Ruff available? I mean how many times a year do the Sabres and Bills play at the exact same time?

Good one.. I’m truly sick of the same ol’ same ol’ with both teams. McDIMWITT clearly hit a ceiling. Coaching has kept this team from advancing to the SB. There have been some great rival players during Josh Allen’s career, obviously Brady.. but not a single Super Bowl appearance yet. That’s underachieving and the head coach has to answer for that. Buffalo likes excuses I guess. We have another all time great with no rings potential situation. Entertainment yes.. hardware no. McD should be fired.

Poor Joshy.

Titans HC was fired in week 5.

Penn State just fired their Coach as well….and for the exact same reasons McD is being discussed here.

I’ve been asking for him to be fired since 13 seconds.  In fact I’ve asked so often I’ve been banned multiple times.

McDermott has nine lives, should have been fired at 13 seconds but just keeps getting chances to blow it every year. Always outcoached in the playoffs.

I was on the fence at the beginning of the year. The last 2 games, and the realization that the Bills have only beat horrible teams, has pushed me over the edge.

Are we talking RBs or QBs?  I know you want to prove your point but talking about QBs picking us apart and not even reaching 150 yards is fouled logic.  100 percent agree our run defense is garbage but it's never been great. Side note if Miami only ran for 130 yards that not a horrible team stat.  Bijan torched us last night though.

It's not fouled logic.

You are the one with fouled logic. Saying because a guy had 150 yards that somehow implies he wasn't picking us apart is ridiculous. That's the most illogical statement there can be.

The point of bring up the running numbers is to show you they didn't need to do it all through the air. These Qbs destroyed us every time they had to.

The only way I think that he could be fired in-season is if they lose to Carolina and then get blown out by KC at home (two very possible outcomes). But after the season? Hell yes. This team needs a new voice and direction. It also needs a HC that can handle the huge egos of star players so that we can stop drafting and trading for "culture" guys and get the guys that make a difference in a violent sport. We also need a new GM, that will draft guys with high college production that are ready to play in year one instead of "traitsy" guys that take years to develop.

This is the worst I've felt after a Bills loss in a long time. We lost last night to a young and hungry team. The Bills looked old and disinterested. I'm not sure how you fix that, but staying the course in any way should not be an option.

It was absurd. There were only 4 possible things that the Falcons wanted to do last night; a handoff to Algiers, a handoff to Robinson, a pass to Robinson, or a pass to London. Penix is a Tua-style one-read passer and we allowed his first and only read to get open multiple times in key situations. That is simply embarrassing. Fire them all.

Yes, it's time. Beane, too. Josh looks regretful now and that's a bad thing.

I like Beane but if it's the only way to make a HC change then I'm willing to sacrifice him as well.

To the bold, 2 weeks in a row a young, hungry team beat us down and we looked bumbling and befuddled.

Is this a talent or scheme problem? What top blue chip talent does he have, Allen, Cook & not a lot else. Isn't a lot of this on Beane? New coach isn't going to fix the talent issue.

Even our top guys are playing poorly. Lost, confused, uninspired.

And in all 3 phases. Offense, Defense and Special Teams.

That is a major coaching issue that talent wont fix. And given our cap situation, there is no changing the talent level right now.

Good points. I agree, but Josh doesn't have a lot to work with to help him out. Of course some of this could be scheme/philosophy (ie: small matchup linebackers & everyone eats no dominant WRs) which I agree is more a coaching issue.  Good point about the cap, but Beane has to draft better. I'm just curious if this is more a coaching issue (McD) or talent issue (Beane). They both have blame.
