Samuel being out would make codrington have to be active for returns I imagine.  So that creates a secondary roster issue.  

 

Moore can just step in for samuel I guess but the st snaps have to be made up for.

I didn't realize Leonard Floyd was a Falcon. I miss that guy! It's a shame he only got to play one season here. Injury report indicates he's been getting plenty of Vet rest. He's probably going to be a pain tonight.

I thought you could do 4 call ups before going to the 53 but I am mistaken. I think they could have Phidarian Mathis or Jordan Phillips as call ups. I think they do have to be reported but it wouldn't shock me if they did report it and some esoteric roster move isn't announced online.

It's the NFL, so you don't take anyone lightly. But we're playing a team that is currently in 3rd place in their division behind the Bucs & Panthers, and will probably be fighting for a WC spot in late December (if all goes well for them).

 

If we're not able to beat a team like that after the kind of loss we had, we're likely not nearly as much of a contender as many here & elsewhere think we are.  

 

I happen to think we ARE that team, and will be playing in the SB.  I think we're giving Atlanta proper respect, but let's not overhype their chances tonight.  I believe they only win if we do a repeat of last week and lose the turnover battle, mixed in w/ some lopsided officiating.

I forget he’s even on the team. Completely irrelevant to this point and once they cut him this offseason we won’t have to worry about him being injured 90% of the time anymore.

I agree to an extent, but this team has a fatal flaw which has been apparent for some time, and getting worse the past two years.... That is, our defense isn't good.

 

Our secondary is in shambles, and our LBs are always injured or underperforming.  Let's hope the reinforcements that come after this game help improve the pass rush, which will help mask our secondary weaknesses.  Also, Benford has been playing like crap, but that should normalize at some point - at leased based on what is a pretty large sample size.  I'm not too concerned about him.

I hear what you're saying, I am not one of those Josh/Brady blame hyperbole people.  I do want Josh to continue to audible into the ideal plays.  I think there just might be some downfield opportunities that Josh is passing on and instead taking the checkdown, and I think "turnover avoidance" coaching is to blame.  I don't expect him to be perfect and always see the open guy.  But I think hitting 2 or 3 of those "missed" chances a game would do wonders for this offense.
