I thought they might throw a flag for a blindside block on that one.

Someone’s a** drawing an illegal blindside block would legit be hilarious at least…woulda been a silver lining there lol

This chiefs team really sees push-aroundable in the run game (not a word 😂)

Seems part of Detroit game plan is to come at them from the start and just keep wearing them down

Sewell was smart to lay off of him or he would have got called for peeling back for sure

Nice to see the Chiefs OL is totally clean and never holds.

But if #77 was doing that at Hearthstone Manor they'd call it a tango.

Hutchinson is a great player, but elite pass rushers just don’t seem to stifle elite QB’s like past eras.

agree. Guys like PM are escaping out of stuff like that all the time.

Has to be due to the rules protecting the QBs don’t you think?   The d line especially need to be so technically sound to get a sack and not draw a penalty.

Yeah, I think what works is constant inside pressure from an all around solid defensive line. The Eagles were able to scheme this in the Super Bowl. A singular elite guy on the edge just doesn’t get the job anymore.

For sure. On top of that there was always around ten to fifteen guys a season who could easily get 10+ sacks a year… now it’s a struggle to get a guy even over 15 sacks.

QBs are much better athletes than they used to be and offenses get the ball out quicker than ever

I agree, rules and as someone else pointed out, QB mobility these days. Guys like Dan Marino and Jim Kelly aren’t escaping.

Part of it.  I think it has a little to do with the development of the quick passing in the NFL.   I would imagine the average time from snap to throw has went down over the last 25 years.

Missed the start of the game. Only saw Montgomery on the last drive for the Lions.

Did Gibbs get injured? The box score says he was productive on the ground.
