I’m struggling to find any positives so far this half.

 

The secondary might be the worst I’ve ever seen in Football.

Thing is, NFL talent isn’t so drastically different that the defense should suck this much. We’re not light years behind the Panthers defensive personnel man for man and yet the Falcons couldn’t score against them. It’s 100% a scheme issue, players aren’t being put in great positions. Too many open spaces, too many one on one tackle attempts. A ball just got topped and NO DEFENDER was within 5 yards to knock it down. It’s the scheme, or the play calls.

The only time the Bills defense is any good is when refs are officiating the game by the book. Anytime the lines are blurred against a big physical team, a small defense like Buffalo’s is going to get swallowed up every time. Grabbed, smacked around, and shoved aside.

Watching Michael Penix play with a legitimate wide receiver one and then watching Josh Alan play with the wide receivers he has is pathetic. Imagine what Josh cloud do with a DK Metcalf or any WR1 is pathetic.  Beane has left hero ball to  Josh as his answer for falling to get one of the most talented QBs in decades a real weapon.  Thank you.  It’s sad and it’s been long, sad, fifty years.

I get Josh doesn’t have a ton of good targets, but it worked well enough last year. 
 

He seems indecisive.
