Naturally the reaction to our 1st loss was overblown but it all comes with an obvious weakness that is glaring with our pass coverage and pursuit. When is Beane going to fortify this crappy secondary. You see KC, Baltimore making moves when they have holes, Beane likes to wait until the offseason. Hairston is already 6 games in before hitting the field. Do we really expect him to make a difference within 3 or 4 weeks?. Strong, has a significant neck injury. What’s with Hancock? All these draft choices are MIA. Our FAs, Hoecht and Ogenjobi are PED enthusiasts and  will finally play in week 7. I know we have cap issues but good GMs know how to make moves. Too much reliance on Josh and Cook will result in more outcomes like NE.

There can never be enough panic; that's how we deal with emotions. It helps keep us balanced from when we overreact to victories over the Jets and start talking about Super Bowl parades.

The chiefs loss def muddied the waters a bunch…I think the more pessimistic crowd thought they had turned it on week 4 and were just gonna coast.

I think the ravens made their team worse with that trade and it was a straight up panic move tbh lol Oweh is gonna pick up statistically on the chargers I bet. 
 

obviously we could make some moves with picks but I think that oweh trade will probably go down as an example of what not to do if I had to guess

Not panicked but disappointed. With the cake schedule and final year in the stadium, this was the time to go all in for a SB run. It appears as though that didn't happen and the Bills will continue to be managed into perennial contenders with the hope that at some point they will be struck by lightning.

Who would be favored in the AFC against them in the playoffs in Buffalo? Now the SB is always a dice roll

Im not panicked but I don’t see how we move forward with this secondary. CB needs to be in the building quickly and the LBs need to wake up. DL and run defense looked much improved to me. I’m not worried about the offense.

One less turnover, or a different ref crew - and it's a good bet we're the last undefeated team in the league.

 

I feel like we need an AR "R-E-L-A-X" or something.  We have some needs for sure, but we also have some guys coming back, and 2 guys coming who haven't even seen the field yet.  I'd agree that the secondary is a concern right NOW, but either Hairston or Strong back will help quite a bit.

 

And I expect a move or 2 by the deadline.  But it's not like we're in a dire situation here.  Remember KC's season last year?  They won something like 11 games by a play or 2.  There was a ton of hand-wringing there, and they still made it to the SB.

 

I still think this is the best team in the AFC, by a somewhat comfortable margin.

 

 

 

I don't think it's because of the loss in it of itself. It's some of the inherent issues we have that have prevented us from winning a SB that we still see. 

 

The defense has big problems. This is a defense that has gotten lit up over and over and over again in the playoffs and it's most likely going to happen again. There's really no strength on this unit and the secondary looks really rough. 

 

The WR's not being able to get open haven't really deterred us from scoring big points in the playoffs but it's still a concern. 

 

The agitation for me is that it's the same exact issues we've had for years are rearing their ugly heads again and it's hard to see how it's going to be "fixed" by January.

The panic might be even worse after this weekend's affair. The Falcons are the #1 defense in yards allowed per game at 244 yds. They have the #1 pass defense at 135 yds per game. Their rush defense is middle of the pack. We need to ride the legs of Cook, Allen, and Johnson, while sprinkling in some play-action passes to keep the defense honest. Our defense also needs to have Benford shadow London wherever he goes, and key on the run while ALWAYS having someone focused on Bijan Robinson. They better NEVER leave him alone. He is both their leading rusher AND receiver. He is truly the focal point of their offense. If Babich and McDermott come into this game unprepared, we will see a repeat of Sunday night. That being an L.

Not talking about this year’s Ravens collapse and subsequent cap clearing moves but previous seasons. We’re in a win now mode and there’s an urgency to making necessary changes to fortify our corners. Trade deadline coming in a few weeks. Teams are already mailing their season in( Jets, Browns, Titans, Giants, Bengals), no reason not to be proactive.

You can only play the team lined up against, not our fault we've played bad teams. That said we should be beating the bottom half of the league. I get losing to the Patriots though as they're a division rival and as we know divisional games are no guaranteed wins.
